I love that Dr Lee is so absolutely able to say - you know what I want to consult with a colleague to get the best outcome for her patient. No one person no matter how skilled or specialised can know everything about everything. I’m sure she has a couple of theories and wants to get someone else’s thoughts on them - It shows just how skilled and professional she is that she recognises this and happy to have it shown on the show.
I know how she feels. I had a large lipoma on the underside of my forearm. People would comment on it. No doctor wanted to do anything about it because they said nerves could be damaged and it would be even worse. Because of its location, it would get sore and inflamed. I lived with this for many years. About three years ago I finally found someone to remove it. No problems. So glad to be done with it.
I've noticed that doctors were scornful of 'Dr Google' even 5 years ago..but it's definately changing..A General Practioner cannot reasonably be expected to recognise every condition under the sun..
See it from her point of view, she has had so many consults that have gone exactly like this and nobody had ever gotten the diagnosis. It is natural that she would just assume this was going to turn out that way again.
I have the same dx on both my feet. Thankfully it is in remission. The pt here, I've been there and there are doctors that will give you a cortisone cream... it doesn't work. I think mine is related to stress.
Always amazes me how many skin conditions there are! I grew up in Africa..saw people with Leprosy..Elephantisis...ulsers..and some unnamed ones..hard things to deal with. Hope the Dr. finds just the right treatment for this condition! What a difference her life will be!
Some of y'all clearly have never struggled with an issue all on your own for a long time despite reaching out for help repeatedly. Have some compassion.
Who are you talking to? I haven't seen any mean comments here. BTW, I have myasthenia gravis, a rare autoimmune disease, and it's recently becoming harder to control.
Impatient asf with Dr. Lee when you've literally been getting nothing and going no where with all these other drs for 20+ years. Geez. Calm down sis. She got u ur diagnosis after a few phone calls. Ppl act like drs kno & have seen all. There are some things they are unsure of still. I would rather have someone say they don't know and call in reinforcements than misdiagnose me again and have me wasting more money and dealing with it for another 10 or 20 years.
I think she wasn't impatient but desperate. Clearly she has watched Dr Lee and though she can say right away what is wrong. Often she can but no means always, and this was that kind of case.
@leas7830 yea I get that for sure. But u basically try and group her in a category with everyone else since no one really knew wat it was and just strung u along. She wanted to make sure her suspicions were right b4 she gave u a diagnosis. It's not like she sent u home with no answers. Desperate I get but her attitude was still kinda rude to Dr. Lee to me. Pretty sure she didn't do that to those other drs she went to.
I see your side and you’re right, drs don’t know everything and it is better for them to say i don’t know rather than misdiagnosing. As a person who has seen multiple drs myself trying to get answers, it is very disheartening to hear “I don’t know” again for the countless time.
I am someone who has lived with a condition for 20+ years, not knowing exactly what it is. You get really desperate for someone to just tell you what is wrong with you. I can completely relate to this woman and her reaction. I hope she gets relief.
I am so happy for her. But, getting an instant diagnosis is unrealistic. Dr. Lee went out of her way to get it. I have severe Plaque Psoriasis all over mybody. Peeling itchy painful thing in private places. I am so lucky my Derm got me on Tremfya shots every 2 months and it gets rid of it all. Took me years and years. I never once was rude or unappreciative as this patient was. I get it but do not expect an instant miracle fix. It takes time.
Yeah, Karen was totally out of line with her remark, frustration or not.. She had seen at least 6 other doctors who couldn't find out what it was, and she waltzes in and gets upset that she didn't get an instant diagnosis.
I’m so disappointed that we didn’t get the full story. Was the treatment successful or not? I’m suspicious that possibility it wasn’t because there isn’t a follow-up.
Too many people criticizing her in the comments have obviously never been through the frustration. Having been there I think she is terribly afraid of being told "I don't know" by a doctor and then being brushed off with no follow-up. Even though dr lee is a "I don't know, but I will find out" type of doctor, she had been through so much that the words "I don't know" were the trigger.
She’s just frustrated. I bet if this was the first doctor she would be more patient, but seeing she’s on her 6th after years and years, I can understand her reaction. It’s not fair to the doctor, but sometimes real people reactions aren’t the sanitized ‘best self’ reactions. Dr.Lee handled this very well, and at the end it worked out.
My mother had something that looked just like this. We looked everywhere for a diagnosis. We were not able to find an answer, just like this lady they threw ointment and creams at her. She has passed now but suffered from this for years. I am glad that this lady is getting an answer and treatment
It's so hard to be stuck with a disease that no one knows how to fix--I've been there myself. Hard to walk in with hope. You think: "Medicine can fix just about everything these days." But there are so many diseases that cannot be prevented or cured. Consider malaria. Hundreds and hundreds of cases and still no 100% prevention or cure. I'm sorry.
Always important to treat the doctor who tries to help with great respect and compassion: Doctors see hundreds of conditions across a year, have enormous expertise on many ailments and are human. If we have carried a condition for years and have only seen six doctors to try to find answers, all unsuccessfully, it is not appropriate to expect the next doctor, who has only just seen our condition, to immediately know what it is and how to treat it, is it? Many of us have conditions that baffle, but we don’t tell our physicians that we expected more from them.
Just as an experiment, I asked Copilot AI for the differential diagnoses prior to watching to the end. Fair play, the final diagnosis was top of the list!
My husband has this, altho not so prolific, It’s to do with a genetic difference HLA B27, and this is one of the many symptoms. Others are ankylosing spondylitis, Iritis, arthritis and others…. It’s not a unique thing, but neither is it commonplace.
Interesting...I worked as an HLA medical technologist. I always knew of the relationship to B27 and ankylosing spondylitis and arthritis but never the other conditions you mentioned. My husband is of Icelandic descent and is positive for B27. I will keep the other disorders in my memory.
This is called plaque psoriasis.... I have plaque but the blister are filled with clear fluid...but it looks exactly the same except not so yellow....👍
Dr Lee is not a miracle worker woman! And to walk in expecting Dr Lee to diagnose, on sight, a condition multiple other doctors couldn’t figure out, just makes you an entitled brat. Calm the farm and be realistic!
As someone who saw many doctors and specialists, so many tests, blood draws, exams, etc that couldn't diagnose me was incredibly rough. Each new doc I saw I had hope that was crushed. It's hard living in pain and uncertainty. Thankfully, she did get her diagnosis. Eventually, I too got mine. It was incurable, but I was so happy to have an answer, a diagnosis.
Maybe part of the reason this patient has seen so many doctors who could not help her is her attitude. No one likes to deal with someone who has unreasonable expectations.
Dr. Lee had just met her! And that she’s been suffering with it for a long time, but she even give doctor. She needs to check it out and figure out what it was.
I also knew instantly what it was. I went to 3 doctors being given the right diagnosis. I understand her tears so well, the frustration and the pain are overwhelming.
Mine comes on the palms of my hands, not the feet. Dealt with psoriasis all my life, so pustular psoriasis on my palms was an easy diagnosis. Plus, there's the internet...
Come on people. This poor woman might sound and appear to have had enough. To b honest I wouldn’t have patience if yet another dr turned round to me after I’d had eight docs say that to me re a couple of things wrong with me. I did warn the last dr what was going on if I suddenly turned up looking angry and speaking curt. I didn’t want to but as I told him I’d had eight different drs take a stab in the dark as to what it was. This ninth doc said I’ve only seen this once but it did heal when I asked the lady to do this. Told me what to do and asked for a runner up appt as soon as poss. It worked and when I left to go home I said thank you to him and he said that he would feel great if what he told me to use was the answer. I went to see him 3 weeks later and it had 80% cleared up.
I have Dyshidrotic eczema which Dr Lee mentioned and it is very similar in looks to what that poor woman has. I have it on my fingers and hands and it’s so painful so to have it on her feet! The poor woman. I’m so glad dr Lee helped her.
Diagnosis is often a process of elimination Dr needs to know what treatments she has already had and discuss it with other specialists, they are not miricle workers . Karen expected too much at first sight.
I had something similar on the palms of my hands. Nothing worked so I had a doctor in Malaysia recommend for me to take evening primrose oil pills and I did it cleared it up and I haven’t had anymore problems since ! That has been over 20 years ago.
I have the same kind of psoriasis, both on hands and feet, it started once like disidrosis and then developed into psoriasis BUT the presentation is different, mostly white plaques, and in my case it comes and go, depending on my stress levels. The cure is topical, but the important thing is hydration. ..

I had this medication and it worked well for me. The side effects gave me very dry lips and it is wise to avoid alcohol as it can put a strain on your liver and increase cholesterol .

I’m sure she has a couple of theories and wants to get someone else’s thoughts on them - It shows just how skilled and professional she is that she recognises this and happy to have it shown on the show.
And because she is a professional, she is not about to react personally to a stressed out patient's irritation.
When she got the diagnosis, I seriously teared up right along with her. Bless her heart!
A board certified physician can remove i had one for 45 years and had it removed.
So glad you took care of yourself and could get it removed ❤
I'm so happy for you!!🎉
The concerned look on Dr. Lee’s face brought me to tears❤
Would have been nice to add the follow up!
Not her channel
I agree
TLC is infamous for leaving off the ending.
Having played "stump the doctor" with different ailments over the years, I can sympathize with this patient.
She saw six doctors and not one could diagnose her properly? Dr. Lee found a photo of it in a book in minutes, but wanted a consultation to be sure.
Many docs are awful diagnosticians. If it isn’t textbook they are stumped.
I've noticed that doctors were scornful of 'Dr Google' even 5 years ago..but it's definately changing..A General Practioner cannot reasonably be expected to recognise every condition under the sun..
Love Dr. Lee! She will do her best and if she can't, she will call in her pro's to fix the problems to the best of her ability.
After people have no clue about her disease, frustration is normal.
The woman with the foot problem needs to be realistic and be patient with Dr Lee. If she doesn't know she'll figure it out.
It's understandable that she would feel disappointed. She been dealing with this for 23 years!
Dr. Lee - what about some after treatment videos after patients have been using meds for two weeks or after treating their cysts, blackheads etc?
Always amazes me how many skin conditions there are! I grew up in Africa..saw people with Leprosy..Elephantisis...ulsers..and some unnamed ones..hard things to deal with. Hope the Dr. finds just the right treatment for this condition! What a difference her life will be!
Some of y'all clearly have never struggled with an issue all on your own for a long time despite reaching out for help repeatedly. Have some compassion.
Speak for yourself. How’s lupus and chronic migraine? Is that enough of a struggle? And, btw, I didn’t say anything about this poor lady.
I myself wouldn't say anything bad I feel bad for her and I hope Dr Lee can find out what it is on her foot
Who are you talking to? I haven't seen any mean comments here. BTW, I have myasthenia gravis, a rare autoimmune disease, and it's recently becoming harder to control.
well spoken..

She wasn’t rude at all - just upset.
I am so glad you were able to help her.
She finally found a doctor. Way to go Dr Lee you are the best and so compassionate to do what you do.
So glad she finally got a diagnosis!!! ❤ Would love a follow up to see how well the treatment worked! 😊
I am so happy for her. But, getting an instant diagnosis is unrealistic. Dr. Lee went out of her way to get it. I have severe Plaque Psoriasis all over mybody. Looks like psoriasis. Pustular psoriasis. This should be an easy diagnosis. It's also called palmoplantar psoriasis
I looked up the side effects of the medication. They can be scary. I wonder how she is doing now.
She is not rude she is just frustrated! And worried! If you have been to multiple doctors with no answers you wood be the same!!
I have this! My Mom and brother had it also. There is a medicine that is not typical?! This is amazing!!!
It's so hard to be stuck with a disease that no one knows how to fix--I've been there myself. Hard to walk in with hope. You think: "Medicine can fix just about everything these days." I think she was scared. It can be difficult to see a ton of “specialists” to only run into a wall every time. She was scared not rude. IMO
I think whats wrong is her expectation of what doctors can do.
Hope she is doing better today!
Lady 6 doctors, 23 years! And nobody knows what is wrong. Give her a little time to research
Dr. Lee, Are you coming back to tv with new episodes?
My husband has this, altho not so prolific, It’s to do with a genetic difference HLA B27, and this is one of the many symptoms. Others are ankylosing spondylitis, Iritis, arthritis and others…. It’s not a unique thing, but neither is it commonplace.

Hoped this worked
Dr Lee should be wearing gloves when she's examining patients, for her protection and theirs.
I’m sure she would have if she thought it was necessary.
Dr Lee is not a miracle worker woman! And to walk in expecting Dr Lee to diagnose, on sight, a condition multiple other doctors couldn’t figure out, just makes you an entitled brat. Calm the farm and be realistic!
I love Ms doctor Lee Sandra 💐🙏
The patient was rude. Give the Dr a chance....you've had this 23 years. Manners people.
EXACTLY!!!! she was verging on being angry....NOT OK. Most drs really are doing their best and its NOT PERSONAL.
I think she came with an idea or more like an expectation that Dr Lee has all the solutions
She was emotional, not rude. You don't know how many doctors she has seen nor the pain she has.
Well said
I have dishydrotic eczma on my hands and one of my feet. The blisters can become pus filled if I scratch them and they are scratched open
Same here 😢
I have the first disease she mentioned on tips of my fingers. I have to identify the cause which was stress and heavy metals in washing soaps.
That looks so painful i hope she can help her.
Maybe part of the reason this patient has seen so many doctors who could not help her is her attitude. No one likes to deal with someone who has unreasonable expectations.
It would be really unfortunate for doctors to purposely misdiagnose or refuse to treat patients who are as mildly irritated as this one.
Seriously?! She has spent 20 years suffering, being misdiagnosed, she is just frustrated and disappointed, not rude at all.
Can’t wait to see the follow up. 🤩
Dr. Lee had just met her! And that she’s been suffering with it for a long time, but she even give doctor. She needs to check it out and figure out what it was.
No results?
Wow, that woman needs to chill
But did the medicine work ?
Palmo Plantar Pustulosis and I know because I have it.
I do too so totaly agree!
I called it immediately. My child has it. The genetic testing listed it as Pustular Psoriasis.
Soooo...what happened? Did her skin begin to clear?
She put all her eggs in one basket and layed it on Dr. Lee!!!! I feel her pain and frustration. But it's not the fault of Dr. Lee!!!!
Come on people. This poor woman might sound and appear to have had enough. To b honest I wouldn’t have patience if yet another dr turned round to me after I’d had eight docs say that to me re a couple of things wrong with me. An update on the treatment would have been nice 👍
Diagnosis is often a process of elimination Dr needs to know what treatments she has already had and discuss it with other specialists, they are not miricle workers . Karen expected too much at first sight.
OMG - I can’t believe that people like this exist! A doctors worst nightmare! I’ll bet people cringe when she enters an office!
Dr.Lee is not an all knowing magician.
I had that foot problem for a couple of years. I moved from Nevada to Wa. and it went away.
To say “are you okay “ & she’s actually crying.
I had something similar on the palms of my hands. Nothing worked so I had a doctor in Malaysia recommend for me to take evening primrose oil pills and I did it cleared it up and I haven’t had anymore problems since ! That has been over 20 years ago.
I had in my palms also, my uncle did as well. I was just told it is an immune issue.
is that like isotretinoin??
I hope A.I. can be helpful in the massive knowledge of diseases to help people to get help
I got these when I had shingles.
So where’s the follow up for this patient? We’re left wondering if she got results from the medication!! 🤨
Waste of your time? Geez! I kind of wish she doesn’t figure it out because you’re unreasonable.
Can this type of Psoriasis also have Rheumatoid Arthritis to go along with it?
It could. But the more common diagnosis is psoriatic arthritis....
I have the same kind of psoriasis, both on hands and feet, it started once like disidrosis and then developed into psoriasis BUT the presentation is different, mostly white plaques, and in my case it comes and go, depending on my stress levels. The cure is topical, but the important thing is hydration. ..
I have the same condition on my feet! My dr can’t figure it out either. It is painful.
I have the same thing on my feet and hands

Wow Karen, stop being a Karen.
What does she expect?
She’s kind off that lady , I was like you need therapy 😂😂
Look at her eyes.
Rude! Does she think Dr. Lee is psychic? She told you it's unusual. Calm down! First meeting.
I had this medication and it worked well for me. The side effects gave me very dry lips and it is wise to avoid alcohol as it can put a strain on your liver and increase cholesterol .
I have pustual psoriasis on my feet and hand it's painful and unsightly. Now I inject once a month to keep it at bay😊
This lady was rude period! She is excepting to much to soon suffer some more!
Don’t we feel silly that we fell for that “social distancing” idiocy!!
I’ve never seen that kind of condition.
Whoa. I get those too but mine come and go. It can last 6 months and then I won't get them for years.
Yup, that's Karen
what a *Negative Nancy!* What an incredible opportunity to meet w/ one of the *top dermatologists* in the country & u say, *“total waste of time?!”* 🤦🏼♂️
Niacin deficiency? Pellagra?
OMG what a women i am here for nothing!!!!! DR will figure it out! You are a great actor
I have the same condition . Here’s what they’re NOT telling you about the medication Acetretin: the possible side effects are……
Hair loss
Dry skin, chapped lips
Dry eyes
Increase of cholesterol levels
Bleeding gums and nose bleeds
Light sensitivity
Peeling fingertips and nail changes
Depression
Aggressive thoughts; thoughts of self harm
Headaches and joint pain
Cancer
Elevated liver enzymes, hence you must have reg blood tests to watch your liver levels
NO THANKS, DOC!
It reminds me of the woman you had one day and she had larger simular rash under her arms hun.😮😢 hopefully she will get some answers.
I feel bad for her but you can’t put that on one doctor. If you have been to so many doctors it is not fair to put that on one person
A little patience goes a long way. Calm down lady.
Rude Woman!!!!
I knew it was psoriasis!
She went to see about this to an expert years ago.
that took me two seconds, SIX DOCTORS????
I have psoriasis. I knew what it was when she showed her feet.
Why are thay having a consultation in a parking lot?
It was filmed during covid.
Make sure she also tries preventative techniques, like not having showers that are too hot.
Watch her insurance won’t cover it.🤦🏼♀️
Omg, wouldn't that be the case? If it works it's not covered! The poor dear, it looks painful.
Her name Karen is fitting, 🙄
Give us a break, please! I've hated my name most of my life. This Karen cultural thing hasn't helped. I promise I try not to act entitled (because I am not ) or be rude or demanding to anyone.
