New Beetle console and radio from Seicane

short tour of the replacement console and 9 inch screen radio for 1998-2010 New Beetle from Seicane. As mentioned in the video, it does not come with installation instructions. It takes a little bit to figure out how to assemble it and install.
two complaints that have come up since I filmed this is: the screen washes out with a little glare from the sun and the FM radio reception is weak. I rarely listen to FM so that doesn't bother me.

How did you end up installing it? I bought the same one but without the stereo and there’s a few brackets. Also did you have to cut out and plastic weld the ac vents to the new assembly ?

Well this is a review video not an installation video but yes you have to take a bunch of stuff off your original console then use the brackets to install them into the new console. Depends on the year, you may have to do the hazard switch and passenger airbag light also in addition to the vents

Hi I’m in Savannah ga how far are you from there I can’t find anyone to install this in my 2005 beetle I’m not to far from Jacksonville I’ve been told no by all local radio shops!😢

I have a 2009 New Beetle. Did you install The back up camera, it came with? Or the one you mentioned from Crutchfield license plate. Wish you were in California!

I installed the alpine one in the license plate frame but I used the camera that came with the radio on another car and it seems to work just fine

How’s it held up? Audio quality? How many pre amp outputs?

Haven’t heard how it’s holding up. It was installed in a customers car and shipped off. I don’t know the number of pre-outs but you can order different radios
