- Hey Everyone!
Welcome to the farm! This place is so special to me, and im sorry about the shortness of the video but i was enjoying myself so much that i forgot to film alot of my trip. I find that when im in nature without very many distractions it makes me realize how little we actually need in this life. It makes me appreciate all the people and things that i DO have and forget all about everything else.
I love being surrounded by the people i love and i find it hard to live this "city" life that is all about fake relationships and consumerism.
Currently in my life im working extra long hours because im saving up to build a tiny home at my parents farm. Thats a big reason why i havent been making as many videos as i would like to be making! But i really appreciate all of you that take the time to watch these and would love to hear if anyone is resonating with the things im saying.

No annoying neighbours
No alarms
No stress
Just peace

I am all about that my friend. I lived just outside NYC all my life. Now in the mountains in another state.

@@Firyalm some areas are a hella of lot cheaper than the city, that’s for damn sure! I’m upstate about an hr from the city. A lot more home for your $! It’s all about location, location, location!
I can’t wait to leave NY though! lol. Overall cost of living is just ridic, plus my other reasons..

It’s awesome that your parents embrace your choices. This is often a huge sticking point for many younger people. What’s funny is even as we age, we continue with our parents’ wishes in the back of our head. peace

Thanks for this video. I'm thinking about living in the mountains, my whole family is dead now and I'm still relatively young at 37 so was thinking of retiring to the mountains. I'm going to try living for a month or two and rent my apartment in a large city and just see how it feels to be around nature all the time..

@@amyonherrectangulardevizz9129 In the process of selling my apartment. Going to get residency in Florida to pay zero city and state tax.. then over many months go to the mountains. I don't want to go while still having NY residency and paying taxes : ( Its a process.. after this Pandemic cities make me anxious

This message is a couple of years late from the time you posted it, but here it is. My wife Reatha and I are now in our 50's and have been empty nesters for awhile. Since we have a little more US time weve gotten back into camping again. We are loving it!! Weve added or taken a different approach this time with our camps, we are unplgging from the world, the electronics and getting back to nature. You mentioned how it makes you feel like YOU again. I fell asleep and when I woke couldn't remember my dream, but felt your farm could be seasonal, all but coldest part of the winter. If you have running water you can build an outside shower. I built one here on my place here in Maine, you just have to disconnect and drain the water on nights when the water heater might freeze. I used a camping water heater hooked up to the garden hose with a shower stall I built myself. I tell you, you can make this thing work.
watching this and listening to you talk about how you want to live here and plant a garden and then looking at where you are now is absolutely incredible!

Amen, it's a blessing to spend time in what God created instead of man made concrete jungles.. Praise the Lord for that peace that you felt. I love going into the mountains to spend time alone in the word of God. It's incredible.

I like the convenience of the city, but life moves too fast here. You're always on "next week," and "next month."
It would be fantastic to just not look to next week's bills and, instead, focus on what I'm seeing around me. You know, it would be wonderful to slow down and truly appreciate my own ephemeral life.
Consider cooking show vids and share some of your favorite recipes? The southwestern bean & corn soup looked familiar, I cook something similar and also use it for quesadillas too. The green smoothie in a more recent video looked tasty too, I've gotta expand my diet to safe n sane meals. You've encouraged me beyond meat, some days.

I'm taking a covid break from school, so I moved back to my dad's house in the city :( I lived in the beautiful country and I now realize I was in luxury :') Time to start my research on self-sustained wild living :-)

Can you bake or cook, maybe clean other mountains home. Do like they did back in the day, you know where people trade for work. You can get your needs but wants can come later cause you have e your whole life. I loved to come there.

I live in Portland and deifnitely don't prefer it. I grew up in a small town and am hoping to move somewhere even more rural after college and build my own sustainable cabin/homestead in the woods! I definitely feel most at peace when I'm surrounded by nature!

You are living a dream that I have had for a very long time.....too old now to pursue it but I enjoy watching others embracing a more rural life !! Enjoy it and make the most of your youth .

I am 67 with multiple health issues and finances that don't allow for moving any where else. I love the mountains and country side so I just take long rides whenever I can to just look at the beautiful sky, the green fileds and calming streams and ponds . It helps just to be outside even for a short time. Enjoy your life and make every moment count !!!@@amyonherrectangulardevizz9129

I'd love to live there, the city and farm, I'd take the farm. You will learn the way of the land and get a garden for your needs. You could even rent it if you want. I know people will leave the city for a trip to the mountain
I live in Colorado! The mountains are so beautiful. I never get to enjoy them tho because I get so car sick when I go.

I love the mountains, but your abode is way too out in the boondocks for me. I am glad you like it though. At some point you will miss people. So, just remember to schedule visits with people for your sanity.

Acho que quando estou na natureza sem muitas distrações, isso me faz perceber o quão pouco realmente precisamos nesta vida. Isso me faz apreciar todas as pessoas e coisas que eu tenho e esquecer tudo o mais.
Eu adoro estar cercada pelas pessoas que amo e acho difícil viver essa vida de "cidade" que é toda sobre relacionamentos falsos e consumismo.
Atualmente na minha vida estou trabalhando horas extras porque estou economizando para construir uma pequena casa na fazenda dos meus pais. Essa é uma grande razão pela qual não tenho feito tantos vídeos quanto gostaria! Mas agradeço muito a todos vocês que dedicaram seu tempo para assistir a esses filmes e adoraria saber se alguém está concordando com o que estou dizendo.
