2012 malibu shuts off FIX must see

2012 Chevy Malibu this car is setting off after driving for about 10 minutes then you let it cool off it will start up . After much research online I didn't find anything helpful But I found this myself the relay for the field pump what extremely hot after a 20 mile Drive. So I popped the fuse Box down found that 1 of the wires was very loose connection I want to the Junk yard and found a replacement terminal/wire. I soldered it in. Then preventing back together and drove for 30 miles in the hot part of the day when I got back The relay was not hot at all.
That excessive heat was causing a loose connection to the fuel pump.

This is a common problem with the Malibu. I've been chasing the crank no start issue with my daughters car for a while before finding the issue in the trunk mounted fuse block. The stealership was trying to charge her $8000.00 to fix it saying there was a list of things wrong!! I replaced the main fuse box under the hood, cam position sensors, O2 sensors and the fuel pump. Needless to say NONE of them was the issue and the stealership was wrong.

This is the second video I see with this repair. I hope it works for me. I did have a short in the wiring behind the engine on the coil harness due to oil leak.

Do you think it's bc of my axle needing replacement? This used to happen till I bought new tires now it's back again once I started hearing (right side )axle issues .

Was the relay clicking when you try to start it?

Mine does it makes a clicking noise but mine is a 2011 and it was running fine and then I went to start it and it starts and dies within 5 seconds. Changed every sensor it had and it's not the fuel pump,filter or injector. I'm still trying to figure it out

No I have a family member that has a garage and he looked at everything. He said that he thinks it's the computer so he going to try that

@@janetlewis6484 I have thoughts of it being my TCM all together so getting that replaced if my crank sensor doesn't fix it... Installed new battery cables etc no luck as of ye

I know it's been a headache for sure. I watched a video about the guse boxes and the copper wire that ran inside them that makes the copper wire get a hair line Crack and that fixed a lot of people's starting issues. It was the fuse box that's under the hood.
