- Lets find out how NOT to land an orbital rocket booster with my SpaceX Falcon Heavy blooper footage. Marcus House presents to you the viewer, every mistake he's made while creating the SpaceX Falcon Heavy Demo Flight script.
This full scale simulation was captured using Kerbal Space Program (KSP 1.2.2) with the full Real Solar System / Realism Overhaul mods installed.

I reckon half the blooper footage was thrown out entirely too. Loads more fails that I hadn't recorded on top of that. So yes... I failed... a lot.
SpaceX themselves failed... A lot. I'm actually stunned you can do this on your own, without a Houston backing you up. Nice job!

@@rositajumawan2256 To be fair, the engines are the most expensive part of the booster and have better proportions for landing stability (ie. They aren’t super tall and tip-happy)

Yeah, one of the plans for the Falcon Superheavy (Starship's booster) is for it to land on the pad and attach the cargo variant to it.

and this is why manual control is ideal. you need to bump the throttle down on decent to keep the booster from overcompensating. awesome vid regardless! love the part where F9 aft goes for a swim!

I am glad this is in my recommended after the successful Space X rocket launch recently .Now I cant imagine how far Space X goes in a very short period of time.
That's brilliant! I can tell you put a lot of effort into it.
Still working on a booster landing script if my own. It can land boosters in stock, and currently shouldn't take much to adapt to RO, as it is designed to make minimal changes to throttle throughout the landing burn.
The hard part though is getting it to land in a particular place. lol

They are not crashing, they were RAPID UNSCEDULED HIGH VELOCITY LANDING that causes RAPID UNSCEDULED DISASEMBLY
