Aww man this was great, got the goosebumps all over again. Every time that song kicks in and the people cheer I'm on the verge of tears. Thanks for making this man!
Hi everyone, how are you all this fine day? Thanks for being so patient with me while I've been preparing this video. It's been a month since the last upload which is much longer than my usual schedule. It's been such a massive effort programming all this. Next question though. Where should we go with SpaceX next? :) What do you all think?
Elon shot his mouth off at the post launch press conference and said the new BFS (upper stage) will be capable of ssto with a full fuel load and minimum payload. I think I'd like to see that.
Even this, still brings a tear to my eyes. Such an amazing thing to watch (I took the day off work to watch Falcon Heavy) and amazing job recreating it. I very much want to get KOS working and learn how to program it but right now I just can't mentally do it. But great job, this is amazing.
@@MarcusHouse hey marcus, what video has the failures? Was it how not to land a orbital rocket booster? Because that's not a hour long. Also, what mod do you use that let's you launch from Kennedy space center
@@Sebastian-hq4pc He said an hour of clips to compile, not that the vid would be an hour. Also he uses Real Solar System to have Earth and it automatically puts you at KSC
Fantastic work as usual, buddy! Great to see you pulling off these tough realism missions in KSP! Meanwhile, I need to get back to building pointless megaton spacecruisers :D
Oh I love that clip so much! It was great. Wish I could have been there with them. On the wrong side of the world I'm afraid. For BFR I'm going to come over and stay for a few weeks. 🚀
I really want to go to Florida for one of these lauches, but when I look at the cost of the flights and the rest of it, it's so risky. Just this weekend they scrubbed the mission, my luck that would happen when I go over.
This made me emotional for some reason, it's so awesome, you captured the moment perfectly and your cinematography was amazing. You did a great job man.
Falcon Heavy was the first launch I saw live. At the time of the mission I was not very into space, and I drew a really derpy picture. The only parts I got right on the picture were the center core and transporter erector, otherwise, I slapped some SRBs on the sides and placed an ATC tower right next to the pad... :|
@@yacinesenouci6680 yes i get that... the first launch i watched live was CRS 16 and it was pretty funny. it started spinning, and then landed on WATER. at the time I also wasn't into space, so i just kept watching these landings fail (remember, this was before SpaceX made its 2nd landing). when Falcon Heavy launched, i was impressed, because we've only seen 5 landings so far. when we saw TWO boosters land AT THE SAME TIME it was like - wtf how... and then we drove back home and on the way we passed LZ1 and LZ2 and it was just - impressive. its one thing to land a single booster on a ship, its another thing to land two boosters back on land on landing pads right next to each other at the same time. can't wait when they add cameras on the boosters that look at each other! then we could see the way the booster acts in detail on its way down!
I love how youtube recommends me awesome stuff. This is nothing short of amazing dude. Well done, well worth the effort and so very much enjoyable to watch. Thank you!
Because this is suppose to be a simulation I would like to point out that the center core used aluminium grid fins and not the titanium ones. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the rocket comes from the SpaceX mod but I think those landing legs are from Kerbalized SpaceX missing the litle (clamping?) triangles on their sides.
I have been looking for a nice ksp tuber. I found him. You sound awesome, contagious with your enthusiasm about space in the best way and making me exited about space exploration too. Btw. nice video. Nah, super nice video, one of the best i've seen.
Great job man. Awesome video. I know you had to have spent a ton of time on it. It actually seems like your last several months of videos of have been building up to this point. Again, great job. You are awesome man.
You are not far wrong actually. My original few kOS videos were trying to learn how to do a Falcon 9 landing in stock. The heavy was an extension of that as I wanted to get that sorted prior to the real launch if possible. Sadly this video came a bit late. I was trying to have it done 2 weeks ago but the RO / RSS challenges made it much harder.
Wowzers, that was one heck of a video! You knocked that out of the park. It is a shame that I can only like this video once. Loved it, keep up the great work :) Hope you have a great day & be safe.
Slight correction; The Energia rocket was also more powerful than the Falcon Heavy, lifting Buran and Polyus into orbit. The Buran weighing in at 76 tonnes and Polyus at 80+ tonnes. Energia was rated to lift up to 96 tonnes into LEO.
Hmm... that would make this statement a little miss-leading. www.spacex.com/falcon-heavy "Only the Saturn V moon rocket, last flown in 1973, delivered more payload to orbit."
Well then they are wrong. Energia launched twice, once in 1987 with Polyus and once in 1988 with the soviet space shuttle Buran, both of which weighed a lot more than the 63.4 tonnes Falcon Heavy can launch in its fully expendable configuration.

The best Falcon Heavy simulation i've seen on TH-cam. Very nice

I’m so glad I got to see this at the cape in real life. I saw the launch, booster sep, and landings it was awesome.
Wish I could have been there with you.
I saw the launch from my backyard xD
That was awesome! I actually had all the insane, overwhelming feelings I had watching the original launch come rushing back to me. Good job!
I was hoping it would have some of that kind of impact. Thanks for watching!
I am impressed, love you channel man. This is by far far the most realistic rocket profile launch I have seen on TH-cam. Congrats
Thanks for watching Mark, I put loads of effort into it so I'm glad you are all enjoying it.
Awesome work! And "Tesla" with Kerbal inside is masterpiece!:)

Stand up for what you believe in. Detention.... Worth it :)
I was in health class and I read the Twitter feed as it happend. It was awesome. I watched the video right after when school ended.
For me it luckily happened in the evening cause of timezones :D
the audio of people screaming, cheering out of excitement and awe when the 2 boosters was landing .. always makes me happy
that was amazing! not only the historic falcon heavy test flight, the KSP seems able to simulate anything!
