I have and definitely still prefer last year's edition, in fact I just setup my little xmas figure display a few days ago. What I love about last year's is that the hair looks very natural with her head turning in shy reaction, and the reaction's pose is just a beautiful and shapely sculpt that presents in a very sexy manner. I ended up passing on this one, because the pose was just very dull.
Agreed. It's a very fluid pose with lots of movement and it's hard to not be smitten by the tsun Chizuru being very koi. This was definitely a purchase motivated by having reviewed the 1st one. If we lost our whole collection and had to start over, I would not buy this one again (though of course I'm happy to own her now, in this moment).
More of a chest appreciator myself. I still prefer the latter version, for the face - which I noticed very few manufacturers managed to nail down the Chizuru face and this would be the winning factor for me. I agree with you that they cheapened out on that base but I guess I can try to fill in with other small things or like a nendo if I want to fill in that void. Great review as always and have a blessed Merry Xmas both of you!
Oooo filling out that void is a good idea. I'll have to keep a lookout for small scale presents/figures. Ultimately, Hakoiri Musume has been the best to capture her face in general. Many figures just don't look like her. Almost as bad as Tohru figures -_- Merry Christmas! I hope you have an awesome holiday season too
@@WayneLLC we are out traveling (woot!) So I can't measure, but IIRC the brown rotating stand we use is 32cm in diameter. And I believe the squared, acrylic stand we use now is 12"x12"
I had the version with balloons, but it looked cheap, so I didn't even open it, but instead returned it. I haven't decided on the second one and I'm still looking for a good enough version, from a good enough manufacturer... :/
I can see that for sure. Let us know what figure you ultimately decide upon! I feel like Hakoiri Musume has done the best job so far of capturing Chizuru.
Thank you for the kind words ♥️ Her original MSRP was 19,800 yen. Looks like the best price at the moment is a New-in-Box on eBay for $169.99, free shipping!
@@KohaisCollection Yeah I find them a bit boring I like a nice outfit especially dresses or uniforms Japanese police women or Serafuku, office lady, waiteress, WW2 nurse, military or Victorian maid that kinda thing. (Not French maid they aren't cute or elegant I am not Into sexy outfits really)
@@matthew-005 I can definitely get behind a good Chinese dress or Japanese formal wear! We're definitely okay with the "sexier" outfits, but a Bikini is a cheap way to accomplish that. Would have preferred maybe a nice lingerie set with nightgown or something that was Christmas themed for this figure (but in this figure's defense, it is due to being based off an artwork, so I can understand the sculptor not having creative freedom). Business outfits are definitely attractive too. Douki-chan immediately comes to my mind. Super cute
@@KohaisCollection Yeah a night gown and lingerie is much more my thing some frilly or lacey you know with something kind of flattering shape that compliments the wearer. And by "sexy" mean more like openly and obviously supposed to be sexy I mean an office lady outfit is sexy to me but it not intended to be. Ps love the librarian girl in your collection.
WOW your camera and lighting work is amazing
Thank you so much for noticing

I didn't realize they had released a 2nd version of this figure.
Probably because it both hit preorders and launched at a really strange time. We've had the figure since August IIRC haha.

It's super cute and I think the modeling looks great! But I'll have to see if it goes on sale before I'm convinced to pull the trigger 🙂

I’ve seen worse but this is a bit of a disaster haha. The pose needed to be completely different

Nice to see another good video but bikinis just are boring to me just not my thing .
Completely understandable. Bikini's can feel as lazy and mundane as bunny suits.
