Dude i believe so, i just spoke to my mechanic and he said he can get to the small thermostat but the big one he'll have pull the engine and will run me about 1k. Although my mechanic says he's not down to do the big one...so hopefully swapping the small one only will solve my issues.
@@ryuken4065 damn, now it makes sense why the dealer tried charging me 2700, I dont think I have a thermostat issue though I’m not overheating rather my radiator is leaking from the plastic portion, gonna replace it just wanted to see why they wanted to charge me so much. Good luck with your issue though, it’s crazy that they made swapping something as easy as a thermostat so elaborate

Hello , just saw this vid and was concerned and had questions . I have a 2016 is200T , I saw that the small thermostat is on the side of the block ? So does the engine have to come out ? Or does the turbo and exhaust manifold need to be removed ? Also the big thermostat sits right behind the water pump correct ? So does the bottom black plastic end connected to the block need to come off to access the big thermostat ?
Im tackling this project over the weekend. Thanks for the video and info, as i thought one of the thermostats was in the bypass water tube .

What are the parts numbers for the thermostats
There are two different thermostats. If you call the dealership with the Vin number they should give you the part numbers for it….
