    Comments in no particular order:
    1. I need one.
    2. My rock-loving inner child is thrilled by the creasing hack.
    3. Tornado continues to be awesome; that is a choice intro they created for you.
    4. I like your dumb joke title 😂
    5. That lip color really suits you!

      Thank you to all of those! I may have stolen this amethyst from Tornado’s rock collection (with their permission)…

    I love how this also acts almost like a Sideless Surcoat with the way the sides curve!!

    That is absolutely wonderful. Precise and yet flowing at the same time. Thanks for sharing.

    Love the apron and all the atmospheric sounds during the reveal. They really added to the story.

    Great smocking job. I used to really like smocking, i don't know why i stopped. Maybe now that i don't need to wear corporate clothing i can make myself some nice looking comfy clothing.

    This could easily be modified into a sundress pattern.

    Oh Huzzah! I was just looking at a bunch of photos of this type of apron and thinking of doing one! Very excited when I saw this video pop up!

    It reminds me of the sideless surcoat silhouette. I wonder if this item influenced that fashion? Interesting stuff, thank you for sharing! 😊

      @OpusElenae  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The other way around, I should think; this apron doesn’t show up until after the surcoat is a firmly established fashion.

    This looks like a lovely garment, but I don't see how much protection it would give to a working midwife. Splat!

    This is just stunning. Ive always loved smocking and know i want to find a project with a good excuse to use smocking in it. Also, this reminds me that I should probably modify the apron i made a few years ago because its a bit hard to get over my head with headphones on and i rarely do anything in the kitchen without my headphones.

    Absolutely amazing work. I recently began Tablet Weaving and came across a reference to a Midwives apron on Elewys of Finchingfelsd's site. I was a Midwife for 37 years. Now retired but I think I need to make this apron! Beautiful linen. Where did you source this. The weight is perfect.

      This! I was thinking about making an apron that wasn't just waist down, but this doesn't feel like it will be that much more protection for my "tracks of land" 😅
