There's something not quite right about a legal system that requires the attorneys on both sides to ACT as though they believe in their clients, particularly the defence in this case. I'm always skeptical of witnesses who look directly at the jury when answering questions, instead of looking at the attorney who's asking them. It makes it look like they're trying to win the jury over by looking at them, which seems manipulative. I think if you're going to answer a question, you should be looking at the person who's asking you.
