  • Hello my friends! I truly am sorry that it has been so long between videos.
The unfortunate truth is that my upload schedule may continue this way for a little while.
As some of you may be aware I started full time work this year after 5 years of part time, so work, family, health routines are all meaning that something has to give.
I do promise, though, that I will continue making videos as often as I can because I do love it!!
Anyway, this video is simply talking about the cameras I am using this year!
I really do hope you enjoy it. And I will have another in the field video coming as soon as I can :)
Please let me know which camera you like the most!!
Thanks again everyone, I truly do value your time!
    Nathan :)

Hi Nathan, I also find the Blads absolutely amazing to use. I predominantly use them for landscape and architectural photography. If you get the opportunity, try a SWC/M or 903SWC. You will fall in love with it. It sounds like your 503CX is in need of a CLA. I will work out a way to send you the details of an ex Hasselblad technician in South Australia who services my and many other Australian Blad users. Most Blad users reading this will know who I mean. Thanks for your videos. Always very inspiring to see them in ones own backyard, so to speak.

Hi Robin, thank you for watching! Yes, I suspect a CLA may be due. I do know of Lars, he has helped me out before :)
I have actually had a CLA for the blad on my mind for a while now.
I would love to try the SWC, or maybe even a flex body!
Thank you so much for commenting! I'll try and get back to posting more regularly!

Other than the Fuji 617 I have all the other cameras you mentioned. Well, my Olympus is the Pen FT with both the 38mm and 100mm. I haven't used my GFX that much either and I'm not sure why but like you I have been shooting lots of film and still have about 100 rolls of 120 in the frig and the freezer. Love it when your lovely daughter is on with and really enjoyed the video of you and her together at the zoo or was it a garden.

Oooh I had the Pen FT and 38mm, but I sold it a couple of years ago! I do sometimes miss it! The S is a good little camera, but it is no Pen FT!
The GFX is a camera that, even though it isn't getting much use at the moment, is a forever camera.
The Hasselblad is my one true love, but I would consider moving it on only if I could get a proper 6x17 view camera like a Shen Hao.
Thank you for the lovely feedback about Hannah. She LOVES getting involved in the videos! We have so much fun!!

When I got my GFX I did get the Hasselblad adapter you recommended and it works well. I also have one that lets me use my Canon EF lenses on it but I like the results with the Hasselblad lenses better

@Sophie Tucker I see people online getting good results with Canon lenses, but I don't have any!

Fantastic camera selection! I’m looking to shoot more medium format this year on two Mamiyas (645 and C330) as well as digital. Very jealous of the G617 - there’s something magical about the panoramic format in camera, I’m on the hunt for an affordable option!

Thank you Julius! A Mamiya 645 was my first medium format camera, and I loved it!! I am a big fan of the 645 format.
Yeah, I love the 617 format so much! I hope you find one!

Nathan, you should specialise in panos haha. I'm sure there's a niche for it! It looks like such a cumbersome beast.
Looking forward to seeing what adventures you'll be up to!

Haha I almost do now 🤣 I did have a crazy thought this morning, though... I could sell my G617 and Hasselblad (despite how much I love it) and get a Shen Hao or similar 617 with real focusing and changeable lenses..... 🤔🤔
      I won't, haha, but the thought is there! 6x17 with a 300mm lens... 😍😍
