Super 8 and 16mm movies. During the 1960's years I did some 8mm work, but focused on the 35mm, 2 1/4 square, 4X5 work (which paid dollars). Now I have the creative flow kicking in. The cameras are cheap, film okay if you process and scan yourself. Your new 4X5 is wonderful, lots of exercise carrying it, film, accessories and tripod.
8mm and 16mm sounds fantastic! Do you develop and scan that yourself as well? I participated in a 16mm workshop earlier this year in cooperation with Silvergrain Classics. It was such a lovely experience, so I totally feel you. And yes, I am in love with the Chamonix as well, such a lovely camera I am very happy with :)
An FDn 50 f/1.2 that I'll use with my Canon EF. And of course I am looking for to finally shoot with my Pentax LX that I got back from maintenance last week. There was natural ice last weekend so there were other priorities last weekend. Next week I'll travel into Germany to pick up the newest copy of Photoklassik. That's also something I'm looking forward to.
My recent pickup was a christmas present to myself: A Canon Model 7 with a Jupiter 8 lens. It's a nice camera, even the Selen-lightmeter still work. It's my first fully-mechanical rangefinder camera. Okay, not a Leica, but i'm happy with it. Now i need to find a nice 35mm LTM-lens :-)

I love her work and videos and of course also her bubbly personality. I am glad to see the diversity of different characters still being interested in the same subject. Thanks for your comment! :)
Nice video Karin :) I enjoyed seeing the books and especially the one about the scarecrows. There is (or was up until Covid, hopefully it will/has been able to restart) a scarecrow festival in a village just outside of my hometown and it was always a good afternoon out wandering around and seeing them outside of the houses plus they also raised money by visitor donations which were given to charity. Congratulations on getting your own 5x4 camera and I hope it’s now working well after your little ‘accident’!
Great content, as usual. This year I had a great Christmas receiving my Ondu Pinhole 6x12 multiformat and lomography graflok instant back which will be great to switch things up and jump start the creativity for 2023. Those eastern bloc books look really good....
Thanks for the great video again from all the way down in New Zealand! The Zupagrafika books (and the rest of the items on their site) look really interesting. In terms of recent pick-ups I just turned 40 and was lucky enough to be given a couple of items that you have used in past videos - a Leica M6 and some rolls of Santacolor 100 film - from my family and this is really exciting for me as we head into summer here in NZ, can't wait to get some amazing colours from the film as you did in your video! All the best for the holiday period!
Hey Karin, I develop my large format sheets in a Stearman Press SP-445 4x5" developing tank and I find it super easy to use, the only downside is that you can develop only 4 sheets at the time (using less than 500 ml of chemical though).
That sounds great, thanks for your comment. Since I already had the Paterson tank it felt like a logical decision to go for the MOD54 insert - and so far, after the first couple of dev sessions I am pretty happy with it.
@@KarinMajoka I started with the MOD54, but found it a bit too error prone with my clumsy hands. The SP445 is a better compromise for me as I rarely shoot more than 4 4x5 at one time. PLUS, I still have the Paterson 3 reel tank and as I shot 3 rolls of HP5 yesterday, I'd better get it filled up!
Great find on the 4x5 camera! And I have saved the link to the brutalist books you showed! After the holidays I will probably get them. The shipping and conversion to Canadian dollars is a little expensive for right now, but they will definitely be the next books I buy. Thanks for showing them off! :)

I recently bought a used Pentax K-5 with two zooms on ebay for under €180 and am now using it with one of my Pentax vintage lenses (a 28mm that passed QA the same year I was born). It‘s probably the most fun I‘ve had in a year at least with photography. I was eyeing a Nikon D750 afterwards to get fully invested in DSLR but decided to instead invest in a Leica M -> Pentax K adapter because I don‘t found the Nikon lens selection to be that much better for my tastes than Pentax. So I will continue using the K-5 for longer and then decide if I‘ll stay in camp Pentax or if a switch to Nikon would be worth it. Apart from that for Street in easy conditions I got into m43 with a Lumix GX9 and paired it with the beautiful Leica 15mm. Killer combo, sadly not weather resistant.

Frag mal bei Steffen schüngel glaub der macht so was
