Personally I think that this toy mirage looks way better than how he appears on the movie. I like how you can see car parts on the robot. That's why i prefer 1-3 Bayverse designs
His and Wheeljack's are the only designs I dont like in that movie, other than that I prefer the G1-ish look in the later 2 movies. 1-3 Bayverse is up there as well tho. So I get your point. 4-5 just look like mechas with cool paint jobs lol. And Last Knight Megatron, even tho SICK and badass-looking, he doesn't look like something that would transform into anything at all. Just looking at him you wouldn't be able to tell in a million years that he transformed into a fighter jet in that movie lmao.

I find it baffling that people sh1t on the AOE/TLK designs for being too complicated, impractical, organic and not having enough kibble; but when they do the same thing but with bright colors and simplified faces, people say they're some of the best designs in the franchise 🤷

It's definitely a figure. I believe it was the best on its budget, but it makes me hopeful that they can get away with something more clean on a MPM (If they do one, it might be awhile anyways), and OSKOs definitely will have my attention. Something about the way the toy transforms feels like it fights you on the transformation.
I’ve been waiting for this review for so long, this figure is much better than I expected. The only thing that annoys me is the back kibble, but its overall a great figure!
I’d be more than happy to pay a similar price to get a non-transforming version of the robot mode that’s completely movie accurate and still in scale with this line. Still, excited for this guy to finally get to shelves later this year!
You’ve really nailed the audible “transforming” sound lol. Also, great video. You can tell since it’s a Porsche that they had to focus more on nailing his alt mode to get the licensing. Bot mode is good, although the feet are atrocious 😬
I care more about the robot mode than to the vehicle mode. So I prefer the mainline one. The lack of colour can be fixed with a few simple custom paints. And if the SS head can fit on the mainline body, then I'll definitely swap it. If not then I hope there's an upgrade kit for it or I'll just 3d print it myself.
A wrist swivel? Ankle rocks side side and up and down? An abdominal crunch? While this figure lacks in terms of looks it can do more than the average deluxe figures. This is definitely a pick for me. Wish that the biceps can move more than 90 degree but not like I'm not used to that anyways. This figures got a freaking ✨ abdominal crunch✨. Always wished a Transformers figure to have one and as far as I'm aware only Optimus can do that.
@@PlatinumKnight-je3vy Nah the mouth plate was only on the box art, if you look at the OG product shots he had this visor-type eyes and not 2 separate eyes like in the movie but they fixed it before release
@@cartoonzentertainmenthe did have eyes in those CG renders, it just looked like a visor because of the earlier concept art head design and paint scheme gave him essentially a big blue unibrow which made it look like a visor.
He looks and transforms so much like a figure in the Alternators line and I love it!!! Hoping for a Yolopark release of him for an accurate robot mode, because that vehicle mode is a beauty and I'd love to have both in my collection for an accurate representation
This is cool. I love how great the paint has been done. The only negative to me is the transparent plastic elbows. Not even the back kibble is that bad to me.
Yeah but heres the thing when you really compare him to the cgi model hes missing alot of silver and blue paint around his torso shoulders and legs also your user name is really cool
I initially hated this Mirage figure upon the release of the cgi model because of it's inaccuracy to the movie model, but I have to say this figure is rapidly growing on me. The kibble and general bulk of the figure might be inaccurate, but I gotta say I really dig the design. In fact, the kibble makes it look almost samurai-esque, and I bet this figure would look good with a sword. Reminds me of that Generations Drift figure from a while back. Might try to pick this one up.

Your dynamic posing and blast effect game has really leveled up these last few months, man. I would definitely watch a video on your tips for posing figures of varying complexity. Or even just shorts of dramatic battle scenes and stuff lol

The Porsche mode is as good as you could possibly ask for at this scale. I just wish the waist was more like the main line version in robot mode. In alt mode though the main line looks like a Porsche kit car that started off life as a Lada. If you recreate the scene from the movie, you'll just have to pretend the hologram projector is glitching
Another awesome ROTB SS, been waiting for this one for ages! Love how Mirage’s figure is actually an officially licensed Porsche, so cool. My one complaint is the clear wrists but I guess it’s because the windows are attached at the back of them? Overall, love him!
Now that they got the license to use Porsche vehicles, I really hope the ss86 Jazz gets a buzzworthy rerelease like Kup. Just with the more accurate 4 instead of 14 on his doors and of course an even more accurate alt mode. Maybe even without the clear plastic since it seems to break on quite many people.
This Studio Series Rise of the Beast Mirage looks cool, but I would like to see Hasbro do the lamborghini car and ferrari race car alt modes that Mirage turned into for a few seconds.
Glad i'm not the only one who had a hard time with the transormation for the legs. Also thank you for going in-depth on the transformation i didn't know about the hips(which is why i couldn't fully transform it)
Mirage has to be one of the best transformers in rise of the beasts he has alot of humor and he is a warrior! But overall i love this figure! And that car mode is probably the most accurate I've seen it!
Since the news about this figure will be reworked, I know this figure would have some significant improvements. The hands are the most worrying part for me, but other than that this is truly a big progress of how transformers figures goes, getting licenses from each company truly shows how this franchise has been expanding. Despite a couple of issues that I have, I still think this is gonna be one of the best figures we can ever have!
I own the figure. The clear plastic arms are not to be worried about. The clear plastic rear window however, on mine has cracked due to the stress it needs removing with its weirdly shaped tabs
I decided against pre-ordering this guy when I did Primal, but I think I might get him. It's great to see how he handles in-hand, though those forearms are the stuff of nightmares

I need to push back against the “collectors despise clear plastic” statement. Whatever materials lend themselves to a more realistic alt mode are the materials I support. I’m aware of the complaints in regards to durability & longevity but still champion the look of clear /tinted glass & windows. Thanx again for the video Prime.
The figure is fine it looks better than the photos but it has a lot of quible, the car is perfect, it has no faults, I'm already waiting for the nightbird review
Looks really good, definitely going to trim down the tabs at the rear of the roof so the clear plastic is less likely to get damaged when clipping/unclipping that part
He does look much better than the photos - they really did not do him any favors. I am hoping for a yolopark version however, maybe in 3rd wave (alongside battletrap I hope)
This guy is gonna be so good for stop notions that transformation is beautiful. He might have to get converted to the patchy paint if that’s gonna happen without him marking up all the silver halfway through lol
