Join us, as we give you a video tour of the SMS Rail Lines operation in the Pureland Industrial Complex. #9069 is the last ex-PRR Baldwin diesel in existence anywhere.
Check out this great site dedicated to Baldwin diesel locomotive history!
baldwindiesels....
Check out our video from the Morrisville Operations!

Ah, the burble of a Baldwin Diesel. Just like Alco it has a sound of it's own. Thank you for taking the time to properly video this amazing locomotive.
I watch this video three times a year and have dine since I found it in 2013👍 It is still in my top 5 favourite Rail videos. Still inspiring and the Baldwin is still a beautiful piece of equipment with a wonderful sound. Thank you so much for posting❤
Just love that Baldwin burble. reminds me as a kid watching the E&LS Baldwins go by my childhood home.
This is an excellent video. When was the last time something in PRR paint in revenue service shined in the sun like that? That loco is pure class. Very weed-free trackage. But what impressed me the most was the crew. Very efficient, and smooth. That engineer got the cuts of cars hustling, but every coupling was smooth and gentle. Excellent example of railroad switching operations.
@ohiosouthern Thanks Kodi! It was a fun day; they are a great group of people down there.
Good watching Baldwin again. Thanks
@Baldwindiesels I'm glad you like it Tim!
Great Video! I went to their website and saw they are in the process of rebuilding a Steam Engine former NH&I RR #9.
Hi👍🛤🇬🇧 Guess what... Yup still watching, still loving every minute🛤🇬🇧🎚
Another Top Notch video Adam, It is good to see a old Baldwin diesel still in work, And boy the paint looks great on Her!! I like the begging of the video right when the engine fires up! Must of been a fun day for you! 2 thumps Up!
Excellent shots & editing. We live in southern Delaware, about an hour and a half from Pureland- gotta get up there !! 😎
There is a great article about this rail line and that locomotive in August 2011 Trains Magazine. There are several pics of the locomotive in action.
Awesome video! Can't wait to see the 0-6-0 switching there someday soon!!
Five stars, Adam! And yes, a great bunch of guys!
@alvintrain That was the best lighting most the of the day.
Awesome video Adam! Loving the PRR action!
@ryknow80787 Thanks! They are rebuilding the #9.
@CSX6000 PRR Baldwin. Epic win!
@bigjim4life Me too! Thanks!
Nice shot at 5:45
@KyleVideoDesigns Let alone the BALDWIN action!
@njtcoastline Yes!
@alvintrain Thanks yo!
@CintiRailFan I read that and it's certainly better than the one in Railpace.
Pennsy power!
yes
@nprsux Because I'm awesome.
How are these unique engines doing now?
@CSX6000 So is the #9 going to be in actual freight service when restored?
Any updates on #9?
how were you able to get a cabride?
@CSX6000 WIN!!
Do we have to see the green box announcing the other SMS operations all the way through this one? Just show it for a few seconds then off it goes. It's distracting! And I can understand using the big traditional serif typeface for headlines, but not for all the other interim titles..go small and go more legible!
What is the prime mover?
@GenesisSanctuary No there is not!
