I actually found a gold ring last night, but it was a recovery mission in response to a message I received from a guy who lost it in a field while training his dog. Mission accomplished though, felt great to see the look on his face upon its return

Hellooo, yes I am blessed with lots of lovely and varying hilly countryside in and around where I live. This area is beautiful, but there are not many tree's here for some reason. You would notice some tree's in this video though as I am of course drawn to the ones that are there and their beautiful autumnal colours :) Thanks as always for tuning in. Gareth

I had some awesome news this week regarding a new permission, your kinda permission, a load of old football pitches, around 8-10 I reckon, with some old footpaths running through, so this place will be heaving with modern, old, trash and what not and who knows maybe that illusive gold ring haha. I start on Saturday. The only catch, to bag this place I offered to donate all the modern spendable to the charity responsible of the upkeep of the site. I also said I'd pick up rubbish etc. But a small price to pay for what may be an amazing place to search
@TheDukesOfDerbyshire Yes, I found the keys. Eyes only, lol. I went for a couple of hours detecting after and found a lovely love token, so all was worth it. Great news on your new permission.. I pucknup trash on none of my permissions, in exchange for the permission. Well worth it. That gold ring will come up from that site, I cam feel it. Just make sure your digging the dodgy signals too.. Well done... there will be a few St Christopher's there too.. Good luck 👍

Hi mate, for about 18 months now I have been using Program 3 Sensi FT with no adjustments. Some times I will flick to Deep HC or Relic to compare deep or iffy signals. For me and the places I hunt, Sensi FT is the most fruitful setting

Hellooo, yes I am blessed with lots of lovely and varying hilly countryside in and around where I live. This area is beautiful, but there are not many tree's here for some reason. You would notice some tree's in this video though as I am of course drawn to the ones that are there and their beautiful autumnal colours :) Thanks as always for tuning in. Gareth

Hi Stephen, thanks as always for the visit and taking time from your day to watch. Haha those truckers were filmed from way up high with the drone. I actually downloaded the truck and horn sound effect from the internet and added it on for effect. Same for the cows at the very beginning :) Yesss, this was my first detecting trip in the new car and I am sooo happy with it. Although I took Mila for a spin in it and she was sick all over my back seat hahaha

Hi John, thanks for coming along mate. Yeah I reckon that's about my 25th silver ring in my metal detecting career. Probably had a couple dozen junkers and copper rings too... Still waiting for that illusive gold ring. I've just bagged permission on 8 old football pitches and the site has old footpaths going through, so I reckon this is where I am going to find my first ever gold ring. I commence this Saturday :)

I estimate it has not been there very long, maybe 10 years tops due to it practically been on the surface. Very close to a camping field, so probably lost by a camper. Hi Martin, very good to hear from you as always. My car is a Peugeot 308 SW Estate. Bit bigger than my last car, more practical, more space, better economy etc. I am so pleased with it. Always been a fan of black cars. This is my 6th black car on the trot. Hope you are doing OK? Hi mate, yeah definitely a day saving find that was, and I was certain it was going to be surface junk with numbers like that!! I like to think I have a good idea of what I'm finding, or not finding.. But sometimes I get it completely wrong!! Have you walked over one a them gold coins yet youth? Come talk to your old buddy here, I've unearthed 9 in 9 years. 1 a year average is pretty outstanding in this game :)

Stunning place to detect, love the appreciation you have for it. I wonder how the modern 20ps and pound coins will look after a couple of hundred years in the soil. All modern coins i dig are ruined. Prob not much for future detectorists to get excited about!

Hi mate, thanks for watching my latest autumnal metal detecting session. I think I saw a recent comment saying you had found the keys, so well done! I had some awesome news this week regarding a new permission, your kinda permission, a load of old football pitches, around 8-10 I reckon, with some old footpaths running through, so this place will be heaving with modern, old, trash and what not and who knows maybe that illusive gold ring haha. I start on Saturday. The only catch, to bag this place I offered to donate all the modern spendable to the charity responsible of the upkeep of the site. I also said I'd pick up rubbish etc. But a small price to pay for what may be an amazing place to search

I went for a couple of hours detecting after and found a lovely love token, so all was worth it.

Hi mate, for about 18 months now I have been using Program 3 Sensi FT with no adjustments. Some times I will flick to Deep HC or Relic to compare deep or iffy signals. For me and the places I hunt, Sensi FT is the most fruitful setting
