You are a far better golfer than I, though I must say, a pre-shot routine will shave strokes. I would highly recommend. Just ordered some Takomos last week, can't wait for them to arrive!

I love watching your videos. They are the reason I bought Takomo 101's for my first new set since taking the game up after a 35-year hiatus. I have tried hard to come up with a comment that doesn't sound harsh. Can't do it, sorry. The decision to "do the right thing," whether moral, ethical or golfing, is always the same. You make the decision long before the situation that you're concerned about arises. When the time comes, you should naturally do the right thing. If you don't, then you never really intended to in the first place. Your poor driving decisions, in this video and the previous several, have been exactly that. From the start, it appears that you intend the hero shot, no matter what, with a convenient "poor decision" excuse when it doesn't work out. If you can overcome that tendency, you will easily both break 80 and lower your handicap. A couple of Golf Sidekick's "How to Break XX" videos might help. BTW, my current handicap is 14, recently down from 19, so take my opinion for what it's worth.

I do not believe there has ever been a round of golf that could not have shaved off a stroke or two , nice putt on the eighteenth

101Ts and a more positive pre-shot routine will be a big difference, you have the skills to be very competitive just have to believe it and play an iron with more forgiveness because you aren't hitting 500shots a day like the pros on tour and even they are moving more and more to forgiving clubs

Pretty solid dude considering you ended with 82 in first tournament while throwing away shots left and right lol. I think I counted 6 "easy" shots you could have saved with some basic chipping/putting and course management.
Very smart to get some tournament reps beforehand to get some practice with what it will FEEL like
    1. LOVING The backswing length with the irons---much better!
    2. Loving the wedge swing lengths and system
    3. We definitely need to develop a pre shot routine :)
    4. Couple of shots we should be able to save on and around the greens pretty easy
    5. Gotta keep dialing in that "go to" fade shot off the tee....would love to see you using that more often (even when the bomb draw would be sexier :) )
    6. Any hole 400 and under with any trouble or uncertainty love the idea of the 3i or driving iron play

It’s not easy Tim but keep at it . The worst part I think was your putting even though there was a few daft mistakes but you will get there

Don't need to use a driver all the time... 3/5W is fine with your distance on par 4s

Your chip min 8 is a technique problem.
Off of grainy lies, open the face a bit and lean the club forward.
This will avoid catching in the ground and pop the ball up and forward with a bit of spin. Carry 2/3rds of the way to hole.

Your game’s not that bad at all Tim! A bunch of rather silly decisions that made you pay, but more importantly your mental game was waaaay off 😢 The way you talked to yourself and constant sighs… even made me sad 🙃 Keep it up! 🏌️‍♂️
