the lyric was actually mistranslated, i believe the correct translation is “a new record is a fight with myself” as in like bts just breaking their own records. a flex.

새 = new 기록= record 자신= myself 싸움= fight
I took it as "me fighting with myself about how to do this record/song". That's why the "crazy artist", "drunk in art" stuff
The funny thing about Jin's recording that high note was he was already out of the building after recording the track then he was pulled by their producers to record and told him to shout like he always do 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Lol Yoongi's not the only one who likes wine, Jimin enjoys drinking as well, also in Burn The Stage they enjoy a few drinks together, in the Festa dinner party they do as well (you can see the different kinds of drunks they are), and in a VLive with Jin and Jimin they drink some as well (BigHit advised against it but Jin said fuck them and did anyway sksksl)
All of them actually except Taehyung. Jimin is the strongest. But he doesnt like drink alone and on his own and he promise not to drink in gloomy feeling. Just for happiness.

the person who did the lyrics got parts of it wrong in the OP video. the first “where the party at...”verse was Kook (2nd one was jimin) and the verse after Tae’s “rap” was also kook. not a big deal just pointing it out cause i was confused af
thats what happens when the uploader aint army. they often color coded it wrongly cuz they cant recognise voices AND mistranslate cuz they aint korean either. some of them use google to translate.
that’s true. but i feel like even if they are army or regardless of if their korean or not it shouldn’t be that hard to tell their voices apart. the vocal lines voices are all different - it just baffles me how people get them mixed up

I think Jimin is probably the heaviest drinker, he is always talking about going out to drink lmao. I think Yoongi can hold his liquor the best lol. Jin also views Yoongi as his drinking buddy. Hoseok likes a good turn up too lmao. I don't think Tae likes to drink much. Jungkook and Namjoon seem to be casual social drinkers.

A different translation of that line in Korean would be "I fight myself to break/make new records" basically meaning BTS only have themselves to compete against at this point.
