Buying fur or tanning your own fur is still recommended if you live in extreme cold climate. Some fur is better than any toxiy synthetic substance man has created still. Mainly the beaver and artic fox. But yeah I agree don't wear fur for style reason alone 💯

The gray foxes in my neighborhood are doing well. We see them at dusk. One of my cats befriended a kit one summer. That was odd. We didn’t feed the lil guy, and he naturally grew up and mixed in with the others

i got two rescues from a bred liter there were 3 but i could only take two they are fun but a lot sometimes, they learn tricks well so they can be obedient but they need a lot of room to go around so you need a huge enclosure or like me where theybasically dug there own burrows in my property and come to my door for food

I mean, dogs get trained to give paw for practical reasons too, not for fun.. At least for us, it was the same reason, so she'd ket us inspect it and cut nails etc.

Yeah, there's still a lot of fox farms here, especially in Pohjanmaa.. Drive past some every year. Back in the 90s there were ecoterrorism attacks on many of them, either painting the foxes fur so they'd be worth less or releasing hundreds of foxes into the wild (not good for the foxes or the environment, but can't really blame them). The most famous are the "Kettutytöt" (the fox girls), and then there was one case where a fur farmer shot at the activists.
Not to mention they regularly get pandemics and have to kill all the animals and start over.
Although, the amount of the farms has decreased drastically since 90s. In like 80s we produced over half of worlds fox fur. Now we're down to 400 farms, and they're mostly kept up by old people and young people just don't really want to get involved in the industry I think. I hope we'll get rid of it within a decade, just phase out all the farms at the current rate and then ban it.
