Apologies as well for the lack of my normal captions and funny notes here and there, they take a while to do and I was really trying to get this video out for you guys so we could keep going. 👌
Started drinking early to prepare for this video. I would like to request more Tanner in the background, por favor. Can't wait to see how this thing turns out.
Love mine as well, just always questioned why they didn't make the 16-35 f2.8L have IS when the f4L does lol. Shoot in low light enough thay an f4L would be annoying, but would be nice. I'll be switch to a full RF line up in the future likely with an R5 and an EOS-R as a second camera, but that won't be for a while. Setup still kills it for photos, but I rarely shoot anymore compared to video work. Appreciate it man 🙏 working back to back on content now to keep things coming 👌
I subbed off the 6-speed conversion video. I have a 2005 OBXT Limited manual and I’m having a/c problems. My blend door actuator is dead and I have no radio or a/c controls.
Yeah have had some idle a little funny until they're tuned. This was the first start with a fresh build and base tune, so it hasn't ran long enough to learn parameters. Should be okay once I'm able to let it run and get up to operating temp, but need to fix a couple things first. 👌
Has a moderately more refined tone from what I'd seen which was kind of what I was after. Was between this or the tomei, but figured it would be a little tough to modify a full titanium exhaust if it came down to it, and cost was a bit of a factor. Hopefully we can get it fitting up well.
@@FunTimeWithSouls definitely, figured it out, downpipe flange angle is different because I bought a legacy specific downpipe. Once the car is movable it's going straight to fab 🤣
We need tomei and 6 speed swap. The legacy gods need answers. There is not one video on TH-cam of a legacy wagon with a tomei and automatic to manual swap
Auto to manual swap is a job for the outback, already got the 6 speed in the garage slowly accruing parts. Hmm. Tomei might be cool on the outback as well. Potentially the legacy if we start making some money 😆
It's a good sounding exhaust, just a really odd fitment. I'm still confused on the midpipe. I expected to have to lengthen it or something, not completely redesign it. We'll make it happen, but for now it's a little weird.. 😆
Curious on the camera setup. Was thinking about buying an iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB to use for social media video. What do you think of that with either adobe premiere for editing?
Well, there is a saying "the best camera is the one you have on you" I think that would work well for things like that. There are series' from parker walbeck literally devoted to making iphone video almost indistinguishable from a pro video camera, so those are worth a watch. Premiere pro would work well, or you can always use final cut pro if you have a Mac as well, runs smoother as it's made by Apple and I believe it's free software on the Mac, or at least has a free version.
@@MatlasDI Oof haha. I was looking into cameras and lenses(not knowing anything mind you) but came to a point where I was like, calm down, I only have 20 subs at the moment hahaha. Better to get parts and provide content(Phone still records surprisingly well) before upgrading I think.
@@MatlasDI is there a way around the check engine light now that tuners can't tune around it? I live in WA so no emissions and just set up an etune so ideally would like to get a downpipe beforehand but don't have the funds for a gesi dp... Youre in WA right?
@phoenix farm yeah I'm in Washington. IN the off chance that the cel still sets you can get a nonfowler pr mini cat fitting for the rear o2 that should fix it.
Thought that might have been the case, tried it, was worse. Looked at the picture from remark of it bolted together and confirmed it's meant to go like that. Should be able to fix things pretty easy, just need the car to be mobile to bring it into fab.
@@alexandernichols3774 If it comes down to it I may have to. The outback has full vband exhaust and I'm pretty sure I have a set or two sitting around unused. I'm more concerned about the downpipe being harder to sell in the future if modified. Most of my parts on the outback are one off's or modified so selling them has been a pain. 😮💨
@@MatlasDI oh I feel the one off situation but on the other hand there is always that one person that will buy cause it suits their needs and demands, like if I were to stay in the oem turbo location I'd go for your vband cobb dp but I wouldn't know if the 6 speed would clear the one you just mounted
So, just confirmed downpipe for legacy has a different angle on flange which is messing everything up. Exhaust does not sit like this on a GR.

Do my best to keep him in one place long enough 🤣 thanks man. 👌
Still using a 7d. Love my L lenses. Have 05 lgt 5 speed car. Been waiting on these videos.

So close! I'd really like to know how that hose became a fountain. I blame Tanner.
You got this, brother!
He installed it wearing his Edward Scissorhands costume.. I should have told him to take it off, but he insisted he'd do it quick. 🙃
Love the unicorn man! Hopefully things goes well soon on your build.
Thanks man 🙏 hope so too, I really want to just drive the damn thing 🤣

Damn so close, but you're not down and out yet! 💪🏾
Gotta stick with it. We'll get there 👊👊
I hope you get that win and a few more. I know you will be able get Mittens running back up and running.
Thanks man, yeah should be able to drive it once I get the hoses, and then we'll get the exhaust fixed up 👌
Wins incoming buddy, just taking a minute to get there.
Win . . . Loading . . . 🤣
Thanks for your latest video, keep it up!
Appreciate it man 🙏
You go this Matt! Only few issues left to address and be driving in no time.
Yuhhh. Need hoses, then we gooood. 👌👌
Great content dude but god I hate that low idle my outback does the same I think until I have it tuned it idles when rev it goes low

I had a Remark R1 on my 2019 WRX (video on my channel). Wasn’t too bad, very quiet compared to other single exits.

Sir, I will continue to use my phone for my videos, cant afford the car parts if im buying camera parts 😂
I feel this 🥲 it all gets very expensive. My phone glass in front of the cameras cracked in my pocket somehow, so I have the exact opposite issue 🤣

Tanner sabotaged the coolant line?! 😂
I'm not pointing fingers 🤣🤣
Is your Perrin downpipe still for sale? Are you selling the grimmspeed topmount ic?
Perrin is still for sale yeah, been too lazy to list it, lol. Grimmspeed topmount is sold.
@@MatlasDI how much do you want for it? It is catted but not gesi right?
@phoenix farm correct. Non gesi catted, manual fitment. Was looking to get around 500 for it.

Chop it and v- band it
Highly considering it, would fix the leaking issues as well, but not sure if I want to modify the downpipe or not.
It's a thought but to the extent of making things shorter doesn't sound appealing but it's a great way to shut the escaping gases tho
