you missed two things to mention sir....25% to 30% water change weekly and only water change won't clean the water siphon all the waste and food which is lying around is very much important. :)

Right I miss to siphon for two weeks and my tank is near to gallery so plenty of sunlight which resulted in algae and lost my two precious guppies 😭

@@MayurDevAquascaper I am using aqua guard purified water for 30% water change weakly. I keep that water overnight in bucket for temperature balance. Just wanted to know your opinion on this. Is it correct method? Have planted tank with Java ferns and Anubis and tetra fishes.

it is possible that the shrimp will eat fish, these are called ghost shrimp

Mayur ji.. I have clearly observed that the lesser I do water changes, the longer my shrimps have survived. Kindly provide a video on this because water changes means a change in water parameters and sensitive ones are not able to deal with it.

Sit normally I place a thermocoal sheet and pour water to avoid distrabance in the scaping is that the correct method of filling up fresh water
The themocol sheet can have dust on it and can be contaminated, using your hand is the best method
Sir I have a 70 litre tank, 2 month old setup. I am using a big piece of drift wood which I got from jungle river. I have properly sterilized it.
And I am facing hair algae issues.
My schedule- 6 hrs light, 3 hrs co2, Apt complete 3ml, 2 times a week.
My question is, can a drift wood be a cause for algae on plants and substrate?
I feel the problem here is the quality of lighting and the quantity of plants used

I do water changes weekly 2 times or minimum weekly once is fixed around 40%. I don't have any kit to test amonia. But everyday I do check the smell of water. If smell is neutral and no smell at all. I assume amonia is less or nothing . Is it good idea to check physically?

If you don't change water weekly then the filter will not be able to handle the bioload of an aquarium,planted or non planted, because even bacteria has a limitation to control amonia,minerals of old water is used up by the system for various process, so neglecting water change will bring fish disease , I change 40% water of my 300 lit oscar tank every 12 days

You don't need to remove the fishes. You can change half of the water and siphon out the dirt also wipe the glass.

Not compulsory, and never in a planted tank, in a fish only tank you can add a bit once a month
Hi Sir, I added green neon tetra 10pcs in 60cm planted tank, tank has co2,cannister filter,skimmer all set up.
But after my water parameter is fine I added green neon tetra but they are hiding when anyone comes near tank...
It never happend before with neon tetras on my other tank, the water quality and all setup is very good in this tank but why they are afraid...

Fish will hide when they are stressed or uncomfortable, check the flow of the water in the tank, if the flow is fast they will tend to hide

I normally take the new water into a bucket and add the chlorine removers there and bubble for 1 hours. And I use a small pump to fill it back to the tank. Hands should be clean because sometimes the dirt / oil can be mixed into the tank. I used to use my hands like Pooja did. It was a great method too. You can feel it..
