Just wanted to set the record straight since this video is a great record of RL's history and people will likely reference it: Bakkes and the rest of the BM core devs (Alpaca, Arator, HalfwayDead, Martinn, Stanbroek) deserve the credit for BakkesMod. A lot of people tend to think I made the core mod, but I joined the team a few years after it was first released. Most of what I was known for was making plugins for youtubers (like Sunless' aimbot video) using the tools that BakkesMod provided, and then releasing those to the public. I also made or helped make a few quality of life and tools mods, like the arena color changer and rainbow car cosmetic mods, and the netcode plugin that forms the basis for some multiplayer workshop maps. Since I contributed a lot of plugins, people generally confuse that with thinking I made BM itself. I was the one hired by Psyonix though (April 2021), but I think that's because I was the only one from the team who applied. I added the freeplay binds along with the custom training mirroring and playlist-style navigation.

I know a lot of people really loved the early days of rocket league but my favorite time was 2017-2018. Man the radical summer update was so fun. Truly unforgettable game and the competitive scene gave us so much memories.

I played this game science the beginning and I was there watching every major, discovering new mechanics and seeing the community grow. I made a new friend in real life and we were best buddies from 2016 to 2020. There life kicks in he went to military and I am stuck in university. I haven't seen him in more than a year and I stopped playing RL actively for a year. My friend has not been online for 6 months. He still got my cert. titanium white apex... I have sooooo many great memories with this game and while watching the video I was remembering lost memories. I think I'll pick it up again Thank you very much ❤

Yes! SARPBC had so many unique features, I wish I could have covered some of them in this video but I feel like the majority of people watching wouldn't find it very interesting. I'm one of the few who put thousands of hours into Supersonic back in 2008-2011. I loved the game even though the servers were laggy. There was a good amount of content in the game potentially more than what Rocket League has now
I remember back in the days playing rl on my parents laptop with a scuffed 3$ controller and 100+ ping with 3 fps on 480p. Thanks for giving me back these memories

Man this is such a throwback, I remember watching NeatMike and the boys in 2015 and 2016, I was so into rocket league but my PC wasn't good enough to run it lol
behold upon the beauty that is a 10 year old game filled with bugs that were never patched by developers eventually evolving into high skill ceiling mechanics and then still not being patched by developers, truly breathtaking
Rumor has it that the reason the Winter Major is in San Diego is so Psyonix can take the pros to their HQ to test out RL2, then they'll have two months or so to iron out the kinks before releasing it at the beginning of next season.
