Must admit, was not the biggest Showdown fan but this is the kind of stuff that can change a mind. Both his voice and his interaction with the crowd was absolutely top notch. The guitar work was just as impressive. I just became a fan.

I met Brent today on an airport.. what a regular guy, he couldn't have be friendlier.. so down to earth and genuine
One of the best front men in the Rock... His voice is full of southern soul that you can feel in your bones when he sings.
Never heard of shinedown, but, one night I was listening to various songs, and then "Simple Man" came on. But it didn't sound right...it was better than I remember (I'm 64). I looked at my phone and it was Shinedown from 11 years ago! That was about a year ago. I fell in love with Shinedown's version of "Simple Man". When I saw this video, I was super sad! Because he is so right! What a memory that audience has! I wish I had this memory! I hope I get to see them sometime soon. Thank you for such a beautiful version! 😍
I'm 53 and this is my favorite band . I grew up during the 70's lived through the big hair bands ,grunge basically watched rock progress into what it is today. I love the humble attitude of this band . They will go down as one of the greatest bands ever.
They should. Truth through lyrics and concerts. The way it used to be. Deserve so much more credit and popularity!
Definitely one of my favourite bands. Been to quite a few shows and each time the atmosphere has be brilliant, energetic and friendly.
Been listening to Shinedown since I was a very young man. So been I believe 18 years. Stumbled upon a video of Brent singing this song on TH-cam in a living room. I believe at that point there was only 1000+ likes. Been a fan ever since. From leave a whisper to today. Can't wait to see them in February!!

Okay now Brent, I (at one point in time in my life) I was 15, and AT A Led Zeppelin concert in Denver, Colorado! Right after "Led Zeppelin 4" and just before the "Houses of the Holy" release. Yes, there is no doubt you bring to the house (of your own) memorable events and do wish I can attend one soon: but you Sir, best not disrespect My Zeppelin! Seen them live 4 times and I will go whenever they come close. Love them and they sound exactly like you think they would sound live. What you get on the album is what you get live. A perfect band

Do it, Just get gen admission tix and grab ahold of a barrier in the front and get ready for the show of a lifetime. I've seen a LOT of bands in my 51 years. The SD guys sound as good and even better live as they do in studio. The atmosphere of a SD show and the love these guys have for thier fans are immeasurable.

I think ive said this before Zach is just a great guitar player i love his style. Zach is the perfect guitar player for Brent and Brent is the perfect singer for Zachs playing. They just fit perfectly.

Led Zeppelin would love to be as talented as Shinedown. Say what you will, but I have attended concerts over 4 decades (from all genre's) and can tell you that the ONLY band that has ever come close to producing the vocals Brents Smith has, the passion and meaning with which the lyrics and music are performed and interaction from the crowd, was Guns N Roses. I have seen some, if not most of the biggest and most talented artists and I would go see Shinedown over ANY that I have ever watched. Lyrics that have meaning, vocals that will blow you over, amazing percussion, all with spot on musical timing. There are so few artists who produce a timeless sound and able to stay relevant. Shinedown is not only one of those, but able to do it with every single album for over a decade.

I misread the Guns n' Roses part but not the Led Zeppelin part. Im pretty sure that they could care less about shinedown. Theyre one of the biggest, well known, rock band of all time. They made some of the best music for their era.
Rob Wilkie idk, zeppelin was the best live band I've ever heard. I was 17 when they played the garden and it was without a doubt the most moving experience ever. And I've seen both queen and GNR, but something about zep that nothing will ever be able to come close to touching. Shinedown reminds me a lot of stone sour in a way, Corey Taylor gets personal with the crowd the same way he does. Both put on great shows
