Sorry for the terrible audio quality, idk why it sounds worse than it did in premier pro. 🤕
Reiner is easily my favorite character of the show. His growth from protecting himself to protecting others is so beautiful
And that moment where Jean has Reiner by the hand and says, “We’re scouts,” is just such the perfect payoff and Jean’s way of forgiving his old comrade.
I didn’t not expect this video to start with “Reiner Braun has the highest body count” 💀
He said ONE of the highest.
Bro😂💀
His years behind the walls were the happiest years of his life
Did you just say but I digest? It's I digress
👀
ong bro 🤣
Lmfao
Man I noticed that too.... I'm wondering if it's a titan pun but tbh I don't think it is lmao
Shaubism?
It's like Reiner and eren are really the same when eren goes to Marley
He completely understands Reiner
Not being the best at anything
But his drive and will
This was really good and honestly had me choke up a few times, you made him an easier character to understand. I always just saw him as the guy losing the fights and understood him on a surface level without much thought but this made me really appreciate him in the story great video!
Love your voice! Reiner is my favorite character and I never really could point to why, and now a lot makes sense. I'd make the video a lil more visually interesting with editing, but you have a lot of potential! Looking forward to your next video :)
Thank you, I agree I'm no good with editing
@@RikoDiko you could seriously tell bedtime stories on TH-cam
This is an amazing video documentary! Reiner is my favourite character and this really helped me understand him more 😊
this was like asmr and lore, and i love it. music and the soothing voice was perfect for background noise. love the video.
man this was fire
Thanks for this video ☺️ Reiner might be my favourite character in the whole show
Yeah this channels gonna blow up in like 2-3 months. I wish you the best and i’ll be here for the content for a long time coming!
this is a well made and great video keep up the good work id love to see more content like this
Thanks for the kind words!
Your voice is so beautiful. Also, the video is amazing except for the copyright😅. I always loved Reiner and I think that he also tries to be like his idol, Marco, but when he stops trying he truly becomes like him. A true leader and a fixed person with one personality. His character arc is one of the best written in all of fiction especially with how he interacts using his personas.
Appreciate the love, and couldn't agree more!
This video is amazing I can rarely pay attention to long form content and it blew my mind to see that you weren’t at 100k plus subscribers
One day 🤞
very pleasant to watch, thank you for helping me explore this character more yee
15:07 Actually, Reiner is talking about both the walls around Paradis and walls surrounding the Eldian "zone" in Liberito. He came to hate both walls. Due to his past mistreatment, and the trauma that came with it, he hated the wall in his hometown in Marley (and Zeke probably made him hate it even more). Then he sent on his mission in Paradis, sees a reminder of that wall there, had already been giving Marley brainwashing to make him hate it even more, hears Eren views about it and hates it further. Add in the trauma due to betraying his friends on Paradis, and now both walls, and ANY OTHER WALLS, reminds him of ALL his trauma, ALL his hate, AND ALL the bad things he heard about each. He probably at that moment wanted every wall in the world torn down, espiecally those two walls. Someone should have told him to be careful what you wish/ask for!!! (Not that he was the only one needed to be told that, lol!)
ugh I never thought about the internment zones walls, I can't believe I missed that. Good point!
omg first point about reiners patriotism. he didnt start out smart or strong but bc hes extremely loyal, he makes for the best candidate for manipulation and loyalty to the marley. and thats smth that gabi has tht we hate her sm for but i feel was extremely neccessary, she mirrors young eren AS WELL AS reiner. ik ppl hate her but i feel like her existence is extremely justified as a by product of the place she was born in
i love this character analogy u rlly nailed it
I have never understood why reiner had a harder time with gaining acceptance and forgiveness by the main cast of AoT... yet they acted like Annie was part of the crew from day 1 or something. None of them really acknowledged any of her past murders, literally spinning people like it was fun for her. Reiner is way more human than Annie, yet they treated him like more of a monster. The scene of connie laughing as annie stuffs her face is so off-putting to me,
i think there are differences in their relationships with reiner and annie, annie didnt really get as close to them as reiner did and yeah, they still appreciated and respected her but reiner was much closer to them, like a brother, someone they could always rely on, so i think thats why his betrayal stings more. it doesnt help that they learned reiner was responsible for breaking the wall and killing marco. id like to point out how eren was just as hurt when he learned about annie as he was about reiner betraying them, he was the last one who got on board with fighting her in stohess.
the other aspect i think is that when they got annie back a lot of time has passed since their initial betrayal and they went through a lot, having to betray their friends as well and also they had to deal with erens betrayal and the rumbling. so by the time they ran into annie eating pie i think they understood, maybe not consciously yet, that they were the same. they only later put it into words on the plane when talking to reiner. also, they havent seen annie in years while they had to face reiner over and over again during those years. idk it makes sense to me. oh and theres at least one person who didnt just accept her back: levi.
and as for connie laughing i get why it gives you the ick, i think thats his coping mechanism though so in a way i get it
and just to be clear, i wish theyd accepted reiner sooner as well, so im completely with you on that, im just saying it kinda makes sense to me
Reiners my fav cuz he can move his conscience to his balls
I still get chills to this day from that reveal. Even after seeing it over 20 times
Honestly same, it's just a masterpiece
Amazing video bro also love ur voice
Thank you so much
This was a fantastic video, great job
Ayooo, this was really good. Love deep dives into misunderstood SnK characters! Who's next?
Thanks! I'm wanting to do Eren and Armin but tbh not sure where to even begin with Eren
@RikoDiko Hey, maybe using a similar approach to this Reiner vid. Diving into everything were were given of their respective childhoods. Imo, much of what was missed about Eren's character development stems from a glossing over his characterisation prior to Armin introducing him to the concept of the world beyond the walls. However you go about it, if it's anywhere near the quality of your last 2 SnK vids, it'll be a banger!
@@yuukichan12 appreciate the advice and kind words. I agree Erens misunderstood, or atleast people have different interpretations of his character, and I'm not entirely sure how I feel about Erens character, I'd need to rewatch a lot of scenes to iron out how I feel
You have a very nice voice
Dude... I've always been an AoT purist, preferring the sub over the dub since I first watched it when there was no dub and I felt like the japanese dub voices were those of the original characters. But damn, does the dub go HARD! They're such talented voice actors!
I love both but sometimes like with Erwin's speech I prefer the dub
Dude Reiner relates to so many people out there in the real world.
Loved this!
Lmao that cutoff at the end
I like you I bet you will get to 100k subs in a year if you keep that tempo
You got that vaatividya voice, you could narrate paint drying and id listen
that's some high praise ty
your voice makes something tingle inside me- yeah that was weird asf to say ik
Pause
@@RikoDiko ;)
Great vid
Nice voice!^^
Thank you!
Attack on Titan just get ended 😭 and I am sad because the heroes lost everything and villains one everything and whatever you say I am ok having redeem but he redemption have to earn
But he did earn his redemption.
Standing here, I realize you were just like me trying to make history
But who's to judge the right from wrong?
When our guard is down, I think we'll both agree
That violence breeds violence
But in the end it has to be this way
- Metal Gear Rising Song
Too low volume :(
I'm working on fixing that
Not me skipping the dialogue so I don’t have to hear the English voice acting
It is not that bad at all. Just eren and zekes va with some others
Weeb
@@frostypoot2299 yes
Reiner only directly killed 1 eldian soldier in the entire series. The dude who uncovered his hiding spot. Stop pointing fingers at him when the reality is that Eren sent Dina and more so allowed for all the events to happen. Videos like this piss me off because you clearly dont know what youre talking about.
oh yeah, what about all the people he killed and trampled on when he breached the wall? just because we clearly see him kill 1 person doesnt mean he only killed 1 person
and what about the middle eastern people he killed in port slava
Love the confidence but that's not true. Firstly Reiner directly kills more than 1 Eldian, there were those stationed at the wall when he breached it, those he killed during the fight at the port with the Jeagerists, and ofc his murder of Marco. Just to name a few.
While Eren played his part in influencing the past to lead to where the story goes, even by the end we're still not sure to the entire extent to how much he can change. We see him in Marley wanting to change the future when he rescues the immigrant boy, but we also see him change the past with his father, so it's unclear how much he can really change.
But what we do know is that he doesn't influence the other Titan shifters freedoms, even though he has the ability to, the only ones we see him have influence over are the previous Attack titans. So with that in mind we can know that Reiner and the other Titan shifters actions are their own. Additionally, the initial plan to recover the founder was a Marley plan, as the Titan powers were diminishing on a global scale. From what we see throughout the story this is never shown to have been influenced or initiated by Eren.
Finally, regardless of whether or not you believe Reiner killed all those people, he believes it, which is more so the focus of what I was discussing in this video.
@@RikoDiko wrong once again. It’s funny you think he killed Marco and those guarding the wall. Reiner was there but no he didn’t kill those people. Idk what show you were watching.
@@arclite95just like Charles Mason didn't kill Sharon tate? Bro stop glazing for a fictional character like wtf
