Poor Nicki. His "inner darkness" described from the beginning felt so relatable, so much like depression and self-destructive behaviour, and each step after Lestat was turned just made things worse for him, it seems. He deserved joy in his life. I wonder how things would have turned out, if neither of them would have become a vampire. Being left behind by who he loved without knowing why and than turning into the dark being he apparently aways saw in himself, even if by own free will, really did destroy any light left.

I love how I just listed the entire series when you asked for one book 😭
pretty sure that's exactly what Gabrielle is considering the panic attack after discovering the hair grew back the next day is very much gender dysphorphia coded
An observation: I originally read the series when it came out. So, decades ago. After watching the first two seasons of IWTV, I decided to listen to TVL. I must say - I was expecting a lot of sexual inuendo that I perhaps hadn't picked up on as a youngster. However, despite all the YT headlines like "Why are all Anne Rice's vampires gay?" TBH, there really isn't any solid indication of their sexuality, and certainly no sex scenes in (the first 13 hours) of this book. All of that overt sexuality seems to have been added by the scriptwriters. I adore both versions, but it's just an observation.
If 1/2 the parents in this world could be 1/2 as loving, strong and supportive as Gabrielle (apology if I butchered the spelling) our world could be a better place for everyone. Too many parents pass on their pain, abuses and horrible things to their children while ignoring the love and support they really need.....
I don't think that Gabrielle is a good mother but she did love Lestat enough to try and understand him even when he is the same in neglecting her wants and needs. To the point that she even love him despite being diffent from him. The fact that Lestat could not even be bothered as to try to endulge Gabrielle even for a while is very poetic although I find it more painful in part that Lestat cannot bring down his pride for the one he loves so much, the one that gave him the tiny bit of light when he needed it the most, and specially when he did not even see the true reason behind the efforts and actions of Gabrielle.

@@jameshermes5576 I think she was leaving a bookmark for herself to come back and listen to😂
I love all of these books, thank you so much. Does anyone know where I can find The Vampire Armand & Blood & Gold ect...?
Audible and/or Torrents. I have them all, but they're blocked by YT worldwide. :(
Are the Mayfair witches books also blocked? I have all the books but I love the audio books I can listen to them while I'm doing work around the house.....
@@wendymurphy5708 Yep, they're all blocked. :(
Well that just really sucks 😞 thanks for posting what you've been adding for us.
They should make a movie of the vampire Armand
They are in Cairo and his mother asks if he will come with her to Africa, but Egypt IS in Africa.
“Come with me into Africa” is what Gabrielle says. I believe this can be correct, even when in northern Africa as it just implies to travel further south/south-west into the heart of Africa
This is almost better than a book that I’m so used to no better than yes I’m sure of it
😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘 can you post The Witching Hour & the Mayfair series please?
Finally made it to part 2!

Thank you for the sharing of this reading.
I would very much like to find someone do the same
of Servant of the Bones.
Love you for this
Given Hollywood's love of a franchise, I wonder why this was never dramatized?..
AMC recently bought the rights to the vampire chronicles and we should be seeing a tv series within the next couple of years
@@shaybaybayyyy Thanks for the info... we can start a book on the cast list, now!
It was. Poorly
Hollywood has a formula for movies. Rap music, guns, profanity and blatant unnecessary nudity. This has none.
They bastardized the interview with a vampire series! Very agenda based.
Wow 🤩 speechless for once ❤
You look like a vampire yourself in that picture! 😉🌟🫶
♥️ the narrator & she’s my fave author ♥️♥️♥️
This is exactly how lestat sounds to me in the books brilliant ❤
What happened in the first chapters that are missing or did the book start at chapter 6??? 😮 part two 😂 I’m dumb!!
Love these
Why isn't Pandora available to listen to on youtube like these are? I loved that book! It was timeless! I want to hear it Narrated by a female voice actor!
😂 lol I love how Armand told lestat he couldn’t destroy him. Lestat cut his fucking head off all he needed to do after that was set him on fire and that would’ve been it for him lol I’ve always despised Armand
I think he was saying He would have never had the heart to kill him
Gabrielle is one of my favorite characters, only after Lestat.
Thank you so very much🦇❤️🦇
So I've seen interview and listening to this. Witch book is next?
After this its Queen of the damned, then Tales of the Body thief, Memnoch the Devil, the Vampire Armand, Merrick, Blood and Gold, Blackwood Farm, Blood Canticle, Prince Lestat, Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis, Blood communion: The Tales of Prince Lestat, Pandora, Vittorio the Vampire.
I love how I just listed the entire series when you asked for one book 😭
The guy who read “Alien Covenant” was a joke. He’s good.
Boy, that Lestat is really a mamas boy. Just let the poor woman go already, let her live her own life!
Amazing
Lestat’s mom give trans vibes
pretty sure that's exactly what Gabrielle is considering the panic attack after discovering the hair grew back the next day is very much gender dysphorphia coded
Eh...
More Tom boy feel. A woman who knew what she had to be, wear, and look. But had a desire to be free to do what she wanted.
Ann Rice herself stated in an interview that Gabrielle de Lioncourt was transmasculine. So yeah, they definitely were.
where can I find this interview?
@biib6318 Google. Search for Gabriel Ann Rice and Transmasculine. Or variations of the three. It should pop up.
Are there missing chapter's? Seems to be missing content. Or chapter's are out of order.
I want The Story of Maurius! Does it exist?
The book from his view is called "Blood and Gold"
This is her magnum opus and I see why is just so good
Bruh, please stop lusting after your mom. PLEASE 🙏
So wait... it switched to armands story in the middle of the book? Or is that a mistake?? I'm confused.
If you haven't found the answer yet. Armand shared his memories with them so they what he could offer them and so he could join them

Rip Anne Rice
If 1/2 the parents in this world could be 1/2 as loving, strong and supportive as Gabrielle (apology if I butchered the spelling) our world could be a better place for everyone. Too many parents pass on their pain, abuses and horrible things to their children while ignoring the love and support they really need.....
She is an evil fantasy....simpelton
Yes, more parents who can't even be bothered to teach their children how to read. Brilliant.
Wtf are you talking about. Do you have any memory retention.
@@kylmbnerva145He sent all the comfort he could, saved her from death and indulged her for weeks afterwards, not sure what you are talking about.
Tom Cruise is Lestat he fleshed this complicated character out fully
Honestly who I picture reading Lestat
