This is such a well made video I don't understand how it doesn't have more views. As a beginner this video and the Part 2 are probably everything I could ask for to learn about how to set up my Antminer S9. Well done!

Please forgive me for asking a noob question.it mines bitcoins, I would like to know how you actually mined coins, transfer to your coinbase account or other accounts?Would that be explained in video part2?
    Thanks

I noticed towards the end that you had a power strip near the fan of the S9. You should really not have anything near the fans or in front/back of he machines. It causes them to work harder with the pulling and ejecting of air. Just thought I would mention that.

Awesome video. Thank you for posting. I’ve ordered 2 S9s about 10 days ago. I live in the US. How did you run 240v to a standard 3 prong 110v plug? Are you using something (transformer) to step up the voltage, or are use using a single phase 220v (like from a dryer plug) that runs 2 hot 110v wires and a neutral/ground?

hey, i have a question, in one of your other videos you have a whole shelf of these running at once? How do you route all of the power cables to avoid electrical issues??

I have the APW3++ power supply and it works perfectly well on the 120 V supply. I don't know why you say it needs 240V. In the US you actually have 110 V which is maybe not enough, but in Canada it works on 120 V. I even have an extension (big gauge however) on it because the power outlet is not close enough.
Your big power supply is maybe less efficient simply because bigger and more sturdy has a cost of trading some efficiency.

Considering the ear piercing loudness of this machine, would I be ok putting it in a small (7 ft X 11 ft) room and closing the door? The room has air conditioning but it doesn't turn on often due to the size of the room compared to other rooms in the house. Would I risk overheating the miner or would it run ok?

I have access to a 220v socket and power is a flat rate in my apartment because it's in an industrial area and built into rent. Is it possible to just hookup 10 of these things out of one 220v jack and rock n roll or am I gonna be blowing fuses drawing too much power getting the power company banging my door in etc?

🤭 so you connected one face to the small leg of a 5-15p outlet and the larger face to the other leg to create a 220v circuit? Is it because you couldn’t find a c13 to nema6-15p cord?

Hey, I have an issue with my AntMiner S9, and thought you might have an idea of what to do. I was able to get it up and running at one point. I even connected to it on the computer using its IP. However, the connection was poor and only lasted a few minutes. Since then I have not been able to connect to it at all. Today, my bitcoin miner will not even turn on when plugged in. What should I do?

These two videos don't really come close to explaining how to set up the S9. How do you set up the software? Where do you plug in the monitor? Where does the OS come from? How do you set up your mining account? [500 other questions]

    • @CryptoCrane
      @CryptoCrane  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Trey,
Great news: we're working on a series of 'Getting Started' videos at this very moment which will address almost of your questions. Still, here we go:
      - Setting up the software isn't really a need; all miners come pre-installed with the programming they need to run...actually, fun fact--every time a miner starts up, the controller board and hashing boards are flashed, so it basically writes its own programming (via reflashing the firmware) from scratch every time it's powered on.
      - You don't need to plug in a monitor, because you can only access the miner via its web interface. Go to your router's IP address (usually 192.168.1.1, but not always), find the IP address for your miner, then put that address in the URL bar and you'll be at the main page of the miner interface.
      - Similar to your first question, the OS is built into every miner.
-As for setting up a mining account, here's the easiest breakdown: choose a bitcoin wallet-->get the receiving address from the wallet-->find and select a mining pool-->create an account on that pool-->configure your account to pay out to the receiving address to your wallet.
