In this guide, I walk through the pool configuration on the AntMiner S9 as well as discuss the profits earned using NiceHash.com after mining for 24 hours.

SO it goes like this :
1. Antminer S9 gets plugged into power and modem
2. Find IP of Antminer and bring it up on your computer
3. Make account on Antminer, the most profitable pool, over all others and over the risk of solo mining
4. Make a Bitcoin Wallet and type in the wallet settings to the Antpool page, and as Bitcoins are mined, move it onto an offline wallet, such as Ledger Nano S
5. Type in the Antpool settings to the miner page
6. Once connected and running everything is done and the cash will now flow

hello again, Ross, I notice that the accepted-speed in Nice Hash varies all over the place. Right now it's reading 37.5 TH/sec. . . impossible with the S9. This stuff must just be the software hopping around. I'll check after 24 hours. Again, great video.

Weird question 2: if you have your AntMiner set up for multiple pools will it split what it mines evenly between them?

Do you need nicehash if you are mining bitcoins? Cant you just enter your wallet adress in the miner(coinbase)?

So it shows you only make around $15 a day before the cost of electric, but on nicehash their profitability calculator has it at around $29 before electric costs. Is this accurate with the current increase in btc? I live in an area where electric is around .22 kWh and so it will come out to around $7 a day in electric and just won’t be worth the investment if the profit is only $9 a day
If using nice hash in the Caribbean e.g. Jamaica, what option would I select and how does this affect payout? Subbed!

Jay Nguyen it's auto run but if u mean to check if it's working or not yes u can check stats on nicehash.com if u r using it for mining bitcoin
Run an ethernet cable form your warehouse to your house?
You can set up a computer near your miner and use ChromeRemote to access the miner or other remote access program.
you need to host a virtual private network (VPN), that way you will be able to access your network and access your miners settings via a web browser as usual. Be careful because this way, you are potentially increasing the chances to be hacked. So make sure you check your miners settings often, you set strong passwords and you also change them often.
Do you think pool.bitcoin.com is better than slush pool?
Weird question 3: if I have a software or a plugged in hardware wallet can I mine directly to it?
How do you connect your wallet ID
i am not using a modem or such a thing i just use my mobile data and i use the data with a router connected to my PC, what now I should do to get my miner to get connected with ethernet cable???????????????????????????
You'll need a Wi-Fi bridge. Just connect the bridge to your mobile hotspot, then connect the enternet cable from the bridge to your Antminer. Good luck!

Hello Rosss, I'm up and running with my S9 on Nice Hash thanks to your video. Thanks much. Question, if you would. What does it mean when the Antminer page says I'm hashing at 14.1 TH/sec, but the Nicehash page is only showing an accepted speed of 7.8 TH/sec?
I ran nice hash and it said that my asus mb and amd phenom and my invidea 760 were not supported.
IF I buy an antminer,, I would not have to upgrade my pc?

It comes down to odds. The likelihood that you'll solve a single block on your own is reeeeeeeally small compared to the likelihood that you'll solve a block as part of a pool.

this doesn't mean my miner is a dud right? I followed Bitmain and more importantly your instructions to a T, and yet nothing is showing up.. so I can't even start to mine, since nothing seems to be recorded.. any thoughts?

Sure, if you have enough power and there aren't any local restrictions.
how do you reach those chips temps? mine are always around 90°C
Hey Erick,
If your miner is running that hot, odds are good you're not getting enough air flow to it. The 'how' all depends on your setup, but the better you do at getting cool air in while actively removing the hot air that's expelled, the lower your temp will be. We've also noticed some variance in temps on a batch-to-batch basis, with more recent batches running at warmer temps that earlier batches.

Not really sure what you're asking...the only thing you need a computer for is to access the miner's web interface. And so long as you know all the different IP addresses, that one computer would be able to access all of them.

Is it possible to use nicehash wallet no matter what pool you use?

Right off the bat: we really don't recommend leaving your wallet on Nicehash, or any pool for that matter. That said, you should be able to use your wallet in any pool, though there are factors that could delay the availability of your earnings.

Either use a hardware wallet or store it on a software wallet on a secured computer that gets backed up frequently.
