Fry in small batches in heated oil 2 or 3 minutes keeping onions separated. Remove pork from pressure cooker with tongs when done. Put a small amount in a side bowl and mix in the sauce to taste. Onion buns: add a little olive oil to the cut side and toast on a hot griddle. Put mayonnaise and a little of the sauce on the bottom bun. Top with pulled pork, slaw, fried onions and the top bun.
Made the sandwiches this weekend and they were outstanding. I smoked the pork butt for 9 hours though, made the sauce and slaw as instructed. I added your spicy mayo from another video, hot pickle chips and put it all on an Hawaiian bun. I was a hero with the family and I got you to thank Sam...

If you use the pork butt you made in this video with caramelized onions and smoked Gouda, you can make an awesome “grilled cheese”. Serve that delicious, fresh slaw on the side.

This is, by far, the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever made. Nearly everything is scratch made from the sauce, the slaw, all the way to the thin onion rings which offer such a wonderful texture component to the dish. The sauce is the MVP hands down final answer. First time I made the dish I sent a picture of it to my parents and they showed up at my door a half hour later not invited so they could have some. First day of college football…I’m making this! With a few variations. I live in Memphis, so more Memphis style, but the same principle. Thanks for the inspiration Sam! And the humor of course.
Just made this yesterday minus the onions and it was the bomb. The sauce was tangy and extremely tasty and the slaw was extremely good. I used a brioche bun vs what Sam used. I'm using the left over pork this morning to make egg stuff tomatoes with mozz chees, an egg, pork from this recipe, more cheese, bake and serve.
Exactly pulled pork is WAY to sweet most of the time, I prefer a little sweetness but mostly the salty vinegary mustardy to come through. I’m making pulled pork and smoked ribs right now and the best rib slather to put on is a mustard vinegar base with a bit of salt sugar pepper and some Smokey tobasco chipotle hot sauce. It’s literally the best smoked ribs I’ve ever had. It’s my pops recipe and I ask for it every year for it on my birthday

Thank you Sam and you're whole crew for all the hard work you put into each recipe and episode! My Latina finacee didn't even know what pulled pork sandwiches were until I made this for us and she absolutely loved it! Even without the bun lol. Thanks again and keep up the good work!
The pressure cooker has a separate over-pressure valve. It's either stuck open or missing. Sort that and you'll get pressure back.
toppledgod that’s it, mine does that about every 4th time I use it. Take the lid off and check the over pressure valve and then it works fine.
Lol I think cuise may have paid him to leave the valve open. Just saying...
I’m legit obsessed with this channel.
THEN YOU NEED A LIFE
HES AN ASSHOLE
AND HATES DOGS
Sam you like a broken pressure cooker, always venting. 🤬
First day of college football…I’m making this! With a few variations. I live in Memphis, so more Memphis style, but the same principle. Thanks for the inspiration Sam! And the humor of course.
off the charts!
Finally a slow Cooker recipe

Just made pulled pork last night in the slow cooker! Now I need to make a pulled pork Benedict. Tomorrows video????? #Please
LOVE LOVE LOVE your show.Thank you. Coming from Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Today marks the 3rd time I have made this pulled pork. It's a hit with everyone who tries it! Thank you again, Sam!
Foresty Forest sent me here.
Me too and it was fuckin awesome! Made it on July 3, sooooo good!!!!
I love Foresty!
I came here to say the same thing.
Mayb the pressure cooker wouldn’t lock bcuz the pressure switch was open and it couldn’t build to temp?? Idk just an idea never used one before.
No word of a lie, the second he yelled "HAY" at the dogs, my neighbour's dog started to bark outside 😂
This is the first of your videos I have watched. You are hysterical. I am hooked!! Thanks for sharing your love of cooking with us.
One of the most entertaining videos IMHO I actually was looking for your onion finger cook lol...keep on keepin on
Bro, you make my day every time you curse, LOL
same here bro hahaha keep politics out of the kitchen, for all the politically correct mf's out there we cursing folks cook for real for real
"one of my beefs with pulled pork sandwiches.." lmfaoo
works just as well with pulled beef.........chuck roast comes out the same way.........tried it and loved it..............
your teaspoons remind me of the woman in the "2 shots of vodka" video
Love ya Sammy. Next time close the valve on the top so it come to pressure. If steam is coming out then you are doing it wrong
Thanks Sam for using additional cooking methods.
It wasn't sealing because you had the pressure valve set to open. If it was closed then steam wouldn't have been pouring out the top.
Sees "slow cooker" in title, notices no slow cooker anywhere in the video
it’s literally 5 minutes into the video
@@alexdemps Maybe it's just my definition and many others but a pressure cooker is not a slow cooker. By definition is cooks things incredibly fast
@@Shadogi he says that if you don't have a pressure cooker you can use a slow cooker but for 6 hours
@@christianshammami I somehow missed that part of the video. Thanks for pointing it out
@@Shadogi Looking for a reason to be dick, watch the video and try not to be a prick.
"It does everything an instapot does" except work.
Sam you need to close the vent on top of the lid my DEAR
He did.
Thank you for finally saying pulled pork sauce tends to be too sweet!!
Maybe an Osso Buco with risotto.
racerxnk ohh nice one
Very nice 👍
My wife and I started watching Sam recently and it has been amazing my wife love making you recipes!&
I am on my way to go pick up an instapot right now!
I make a ton of these recipes and have not been let down at all! Thanks Sam
Dollars to donuts he didn’t turn the vent cap on the top to “seal” and it’s still on “vent”.
CantankerousDave I’m glad I wasn’t the only person who noticed that 🤣🤣
He probably got so mad when he figured that out or someone told him later. Usually After me yelling “ Sam! You forgot the garlic! “ just minutes later he focuses & boom he gets it.
Mmmhmm.. I'm judging him and 😂
Yep thats why the steam was shooting out...lol..
They literally showed him turning the vent cap to “pressure” in the video.
Did you hunt the pork? Cauz if not then it's not homemade :D
cool story bro
A new drinking game - you take a shot every time Sam get's Beeped!
I'd pass out in 10 minutes.
or when he says tremendous
Sam you have helped me make the single best pulled pork I ever made! Thank you
I don't even like half the stuff he used but I used it anyways and it was so amazing!!! One of the best pulled pork sandwiches by far!!! Thank you!!!
