Great review! I realize this color theme, exclusive to Black Label, is a bit polarizing. But I find it refreshing to see a modern version of the striking jewel tones we fell in love with in the '70s and '80s. Since the early '90s, it seems leather in hues of oatmeal were the only acceptable interiors in cars. I love the Rhapsody in Blue theme, and I think this is a car Lincoln desperately needs for its survival. Very well done, both car and review. It's wonderful to see the rebirth of a brand that never should have died. Long live Continental.
Thank you for your comments, Robin Atkins. We truly appreciate them. We've come across quite a few people who find the interior attractive, as well, and even Chris will hint at it slowly wearing on him now. Thanks for watching!
Great review, It's a beautiful car. I really don't mind the interior color, I think it looks great. The interior has a personality to it, it doesn't look as boring as the CT6 interior ( that's just my opinion). I believe Lincoln has done a great job and will be back in the luxury game.
I have watched a lot of the new Continental reviews and your persona and review was the best. Keep up the good work. You have gained a subscriber. My only dislike is the rear exterior which doesn't seem to match and flow with the front exterior. Somehow the exterior rear end light treatment needs more prominence. To each his own, but I happen to like the town cars of all generations, as I am a Lincoln aficionado. (Past owned Lincolns: 63 and 64 Continentals, 89 Town Car, 83 Mark VI 4 door Signature Series 4 door) Presently own an 89 Town Car. Each generation of Lincolns reflect the era in which they were designed to meet customers wants and expectations. For me they represent American luxury, without the gaudiness of a Cadillac.
First, thank you very much for your support, williamabeck46. We truly appreciate it. Chris mentioned similar sentiments about the rear of the car, as well, the first time he saw it. It did wear on him, though, leaving only the interior as a conflicted area. We think the Continental is a good effort in making consumers notice the brand again. Sounds as though you've had a nice stable of Lincolns over the years. We can appreciate that. Thank you for your comments and for watching!
Nice review...you got a new subscriber. Love the Conti. It looks stunning in the Jade Green and that Magnetic gray as well. I would opt for the Reserve trim with the 3.0 and the rear tech and revel system and pano roof for about $65K and be fine...
Chris has experienced them as livery cars on a couple of trips this year, too. He said them make him feel important when he gets out at the airport. LOL Thanks for watching, Jose Liera!
It probably got the axe when Ford decided to stop selling cars, in general. Even my parents bought one of these. They rode in this one while I had it for review and bought the exact same one a few months later. They still love it, too! Thanks for watching!
Sorry for the delayed response, NorthAmerican Auto. You'll get more for your money with the Continental, but many would argue that the "prestige" of the Benz would outweigh the value. We appreciate your comments. Thanks for watching!
Chris. Nice review as always. Lol when when you said "Really" about the conti having rear ashtrays 😂. I'm with you on that one. I'm not totally sold on the package as a whole but, it a nice attempt from Lincoln. For a future review, Please snag that 2018 Camry XSE for review if you could. I love what Toyota has done with it.
AutoAcademics you're most welcome Autoacademics, to be honest I am actually a big fan of yours and really enjoy your video. You have a very classy and unique style that put you in totally different class than other reviewers maybe except to the Redline Car. I hope to learn and get more inspired from future videos. Thanks again for replying to my message👍.
Yeah, those ashtrays were unexpected, pedro fernandez. But you're correct. China has a huge luxury market. Buick is doing well there and that could be what Lincoln has been thinking about, as well. We appreciate you!
Chassis tech and turbo tech is the biggest thing, the chassis is the stiffest in the industry while being the lightest thanks to hydro forming and turning 20 chassis parts into one, plus a much faster and more efficient 8 speed (soon to be 10) and cyl deactivation the list goes on
+Justin Bouche He's not asking you, sick fuck. 3232 is asking AutoAcademics !!! GOT THAT ?????? Fucking nutcase...... NOBODY cares what you think... GOT THAT TOO ?????
We have to disagree, Justin Bouche. While the CT6 is a fine car, we feel Cadillac's cars (excluding the V-series) have lost the emotional appeal that they had garnered with the previous-gen CTS and Escalade. While Chris needed more time to warm up to the interior of this Black Label Continental, he couldn't deny the emotional appeal that the car offers. This is something, we feel, that all vehicles in a similar or greater price range to this car should do. Otherwise, why would you spend the money for it? A $40k+ car can check off almost the exact same boxes that most $70k+ cars can. That is, except for the box next to "emotion." We appreciate your comments, Justin Bouche!
Sorry for the super-delayed reply, Gerry Scimeca. We just saw this comment. No, the chrome is not falling off. That is the rear door handle that you're seeing. Pretty nice touch in our opinion. Thanks for watching!
I watched a few of your reviews and like how detailed you are. I could not find your review on the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. can you send me the link? Thanks.
Thanks for your review of the new continental! I'm truly a Lincoln fan but I'm not a fan of the silver looking trim that comes with Rhapsody interior. I plan to purchase one in the near future in either Black Label Blue Rhapsody or Black Throughbred . I do have a question. How did you like the shifting of the six speed automatic transmission? I've looked at many reviews and many of them have said that the transmission is jumpy and somethings very hesitant. Thanks again, peace!
Lincoln should have never discounted there sedan lineup. These were way nicer then the suvs they are making, it would have been nice to see them with more personal choice options and wood reboot.
The host is awesome. One issue with the car is that it only has 6 gears, im sure theyll change that in later years but 6 for this price is just lacking, it should atleast 8
Chris really appreciates SYNC 3. It is smoother with better functionality than many of the other systems available right now. Thanks for watching, Hajji Daoud!
Great review. I hate alcantara on seats, would have been better if it was just straight leather. I hate the texture of it, at least the steering wheel isn't covered with it like some cars. Also, my parents had a dark blue interior on their 1990 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight. Some things should stay in the past!
Great review!! It is great luxury car for most part. 2017 Lincoln continental has few flaws. They are it has two levers instead of one lever, it should look more like previous generations of continental, and it should have 10 speed automatic transmission.
Thank you for the kind words, FrankypankyV8. We appreciate them. 20" wheels are becoming very commonplace. Thankfully, automakers have figured out how to tune the suspension so that the ride is still comfortable, while being controlled, too. The adaptive suspension on this Continental really works. Thanks for watching!
I just wished that Lincoln would have put center-opening doors (suicide doors) on the Continental. If that had been the case it would be one in my driveway right now.
We've come across a few people who don't care for panoramic roofs, Joe Hammond. We don't mind them, but you're not alone. Thank you for your comments and for watching!
Nice review! I'm a Cadillac XTS driver who is now definitely considering this car as my next vehicle. And BTW, to all the commenters who said you're yelling in this video, I disagree. You are clear, concise, and confident!
The black label doenst stand out enough from the standard package to justify the orice difference. Just wait 2 years these will be under $27K used with 60K miles or less on them
Great review and video but I am not a fan of the Continental as hard as I try. Not for that price but I can see how far they have come from the Town Car. The door handles are cool and I like the front end treatment but for some reason everything else about the car fails to impress. For what it's worth I love the Cadillac CT6 even though it too isn't my dream car when it comes down to signing on the dotted line.
It's too late now. I would not buy one now in 2020 as I understand this is the last year they'll be produced. I think that's a mistake on Lincoln's part, they need to have a flagship sedan (Not just SUVs) as all the other premier car makers in the world have.
They'll more than likely put the 9 speed auto in it in the near future but for now I don't believe it can handle the power/torque the 3.0 ltr produces. I do believe the 2018 Navigator will have the 10 speed auto.
A lot of the 9 speed transmissions add middle gears without increasing the size of the low or high end gears, which really just adds weight a in some cases even decreases performance.
Rest assured, John Heath, every car we review had idled for about 30 minutes straight, possibly more while we get other shots, before we even get to this part of the video. Not to mention, we drive it about 2-3 miles to this location prior to shooting. That's the magic of editing. We can wrap an entire morning/afternoon of recording into a 7-8 minute video. Thank you for your concern and for watching.
unfortunately it falls behind in build quality material quality and luxury features compared to the likes of the new Lexus LS and the Cadillac ct-6 but it does give the Buick LaCrosse a run for its money
The black label doenst stand out enough from the standard package to justify the price difference. Just wait 2 years these will be under $30K used with 60K miles or less on them.
This is the first car ever to look good in every colour
never though i would fall in love with American luxury car until recently.
Great review! I realize this color theme, exclusive to Black Label, is a bit polarizing. Damn this car is loaded. And exclusive.
Great review, It's a beautiful car. I really don't mind the interior color, I think it looks great. The interior has a personality to it, it doesn't look as boring as the CT6 interior ( that's just my opinion). I believe Lincoln has done a great job and will be back in the luxury game.
We were surprised with this one, Drew Crew. It drives really well for a car of this size. Thanks for watching!

A fantastic automobile. So happy to see Ford/Lincoln back in the quality business.
I just purchased the reserve 400 horsepower and I love it great video.new sub.
We appreciate your support, Mike Benjamin. Enjoy your new car and thanks for watching!
Looking back on all the reviews yours is phenomenal
I truly appreciate that. Thanks for watching!
Love your reviews, personally, I love the interior color on this thing! Completely agree about more personalization available too
I have watched a lot of the new Continental reviews and your persona and review was the best. Keep up the good work. You have gained a subscriber.

Dude the blue on blue reminds me of my first car, my ‘92 Cadillac Seville and I miss that car so much! I oughta get one of these like that
Love that chrome and available ashtrays for us Retro fanatics, but does it come in Purple?
Ha! No purple, Stephen Bradley. Thanks for watching!
Stephen Bradley Take it to MAACO and have it any color You want. Ouch😵
Nice review...you got a new subscriber. Love the Conti. It looks stunning in the Jade Green and that Magnetic gray as well. I would opt for the Reserve trim with the 3.0 and the rear tech and revel system and pano roof for about $65K and be fine...
Thank you very much for your support, LaQuan Miller. We truly appreciate it!
This is the First Lincoln Review I have seen that did not criticize the PUSH BUTTON SHIFTER. THANKYOU as I have it and LOVE IT IN MY 17 MKZ..
I want this Lincoln now...truly!
Love the Blue interior!!!!!!.... Get Over It!!!!
a lot of these cars doing taxi out here in Chicago and they look gorgeous
Chris has experienced them as livery cars on a couple of trips this year, too. He said them make him feel important when he gets out at the airport. LOL Thanks for watching, Jose Liera!
Learned my 17 continental has foot opening trunk from this video. Went and tried it. Yep ot works.
Happy to help. Enjoy your car and thanks for watching!
Probably the best review channel on youtube
You are too kind, Elpacto16. Thank you for the kind words and for watching!
Great review.
Thank you, Bernard Diggins! We appreciate your comment. Thanks for watching!
Wow Man !
Your reviews are worth watching....
Where have I been lost for this long ? 🤔
We appreciate the kind words, Doctor Cook. Thanks for watching!
Good video. I’m going to check you out more often. Have you ever reviewed a car that you liked and purchased it?
Hey man, what can you say why Lincoln discontinued Continental ? Because this vehicle is just perfect for Livery.
It probably got the axe when Ford decided to stop selling cars, in general. Even my parents bought one of these. They rode in this one while I had it for review and bought the exact same one a few months later. They still love it, too! Thanks for watching!
Amazing review Amazing vehicle.I was just looking at one of these yesterday! I think ima purchase it.Great video.Thank You 👍
Greetings from Mexico
Truly an American luxury cruiser..... Good job Lincoln....
Good review. Thanks
I would like to see wheel well arch chrome liners to brighten up the wheel arches.
Great review, really like the style!!! I subscribed!!! Also, would you recommend this or the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E400 Sedan?
Sorry for the delayed response, NorthAmerican Auto. You'll get more for your money with the Continental, but many would argue that the "prestige" of the Benz would outweigh the value. We appreciate your comments. Thanks for watching!
No problem, thanks for your opinion!
We hope to have a Camry to test in the near future. Not sure if it'll be an XSE, but we'll see. Thanks for watching, Alex B!
The blue interior looks better in pictures than in real life. I looked at one yesterday and the blue interior just screamed at me.
Love the blue interior!
It's a bit polarizing, but we're beginning to find more people liking it. Thanks for watching, Elizabeth McKenna!
finally a test with the blue black label...nice review
Thank you, patrick velencia. We appreciate you watching!
Great review Autoacademics, like the car. It looks really good and kind of suit you Sir .
Ha! Thanks, Fabrice D Jemeni. We think we saw Chris pop his collar once or twice while exiting this car. Thanks for watching!
AutoAcademics you're most welcome Autoacademics, to be honest I am actually a big fan of yours and really enjoy your video. You have a very classy and unique style that put you in totally different class than other reviewers maybe except to the Redline Car. I hope to learn and get more inspired from future videos. Rear seat ashtrays? Rich Chinese buyers will love it!
Yeah, those ashtrays were unexpected, pedro fernandez. But you're correct. China has a huge luxury market. Buick is doing well there and that could be what Lincoln has been thinking about, as well. We appreciate you!
Thanks
Another clean, concise and informative review from AutoAcademics. How would this compare to a CT6 ?
3232e's Bricks not even in the same league the CT 6 is miles better in terms of interior material quality build quality technology and performance
Justin Bouche thanks for the info. The new CT6 does have some cool camera technology

Is it me, or at 6:13 is the chrome trim on the rear window falling off this car?
Sorry for the super-delayed reply, Gerry Scimeca. We just saw this comment. No, the chrome is not falling off. That is the rear door handle that you're seeing. Pretty nice touch in our opinion. Thanks for watching!
I watched a few of your reviews and like how detailed you are. I could not find your review on the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. can you send me the link? Thanks.

That's a beautiful Lincoln
It's a very nice car, Keith Bowers. Chris' parents actually bought one because of his review of it. Thanks for watching!
Good review as always .. please review a 2017 Volvo XC90 Inscription please!
We'd love to get our hands on an XC90, Sowmya Deenadayal. We just need Volvo to put one in them. Thanks for watching!
Come on, the interior is pure luxury. Nice review.
Thanks for watching, M. Miranda!
Lincoln should have never discounted there sedan lineup. These were way nicer then the suvs they are making, it would have been nice to see them with more personal choice options and wood reboot.

Thank you for the kind words, thatamerican550. And thanks for watching, too!
Outside door handle on drives light don't work
This takes me back to when cars from Detroit had unique style and didn't come off a cookie sheet. Highly impractical, but stylish
Yes. Lincoln definitely tapped in to their design trends from the past, Iris Gross. As always, thanks for watching!
Thanks!
Thanks for watching, Thaddaeus Westbrooks!
Is it just me or does the SYNC 3 infotainment system look like the smoothest out there. Wayy smoother than the 17 S class I saw.
Chris really appreciates SYNC 3. It is smoother with better functionality than many of the other systems available right now. Thanks for watching, Hajji Daoud!
Sync 3 is really smooth and easy system. It is my favorite system out there.
Great review. I hate alcantara on seats, would have been better if it was just straight leather. I hate the texture of it, at least the steering wheel isn't covered with it like some cars. Also, my parents had a dark blue interior on their 1990 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight. Some things should stay in the past!
obcRadio I for one, love the blue!
Great Review. I feel like this car is way over priced. Not sure how they can justify these prices.
All these cars are getting expensive, canonlybeme4life. We appreciate your comments. Thanks for watching!
Great review!! It is great luxury car for most part. 2017 Lincoln continental has few flaws. They are it has two levers instead of one lever, it should look more like previous generations of continental, and it should have 10 speed automatic transmission.
Thank you for the positive comments, Joseph Dan. We truly appreciate them!
Wow congrats fix. The new Lincoln is going to resurrect the brand the new Navigator is turning escalade heads toward Lincoln good job.
Looks great to me...but 20 inch wheels? I would prefer 18 inch for more comfort.
Good report 👍
Thank you for the kind words, FrankypankyV8. We appreciate them. 20" wheels are becoming very commonplace. Thankfully, automakers have figured out how to tune the suspension so that the ride is still comfortable, while being controlled, too. The adaptive suspension on this Continental really works. Thanks for watching!
In white it is a handsome auto.
Don't know if I like the blue.
I just wished that Lincoln would have put center-opening doors (suicide doors) on the Continental. If that had been the case it would be one in my driveway right now.
They did. But it's a special edition costing $40k more.
I love this car, but would choose black leather interior.
I must be the only person in the US who hates pano-roofs, just don't get it. I do like the B-pillar AC vents, nice touch.
We've come across a few people who don't care for panoramic roofs, Joe Hammond. We don't mind them, but you're not alone. Thank you for your comments and for watching!
Lincoln navigator index 👍
Can you do a review 2017 Lincoln Mkz
Jun Dollasbe I have a 17 MKZ SELECT and LOVE IT!!
Nice review! I'm a Cadillac XTS driver who is now definitely considering this car as my next vehicle. And BTW, to all the commenters who said you're yelling in this video, I disagree. You are clear, concise, and confident!
Thank you, Eugene Romano. We appreciate your kind words. Thanks for watching!
The Curb Weight of that Car is 4523 Pounds they need to trim it Down to 3000 Pounds and with that comes less fuel and less maintenance .
Wish we have it in Europe 😞
Love my #LincolnContinental
The black label doenst stand out enough from the standard package to justify the orice difference. Just wait 2 years these will be under $27K used with 60K miles or less on them
Nice!!!
Mercedes Maytag- for those who can't afford Rolls or Bentley
Looks like he is rapping 😂😂 great work ✌️✌️
Great review and video but I am not a fan of the Continental as hard as I try. Not for that price but I can see how far they have come from the Town Car. The door handles are cool and I like the front end treatment but for some reason everything else about the car fails to impress. We agree, Greg T. Cars are still relevant, especially in the luxury space. Thanks for watching!
6 speed auto in this price class ain't gonna cut it.
as long as it does the job it shouldn't matter. This motor has so much low end torque you wouldn't want any more gears.
Yeah, I know that, but people think the more number of forward gears, the better the powertrain
pedro fernandez Using the word "Ain't" gonna cut it either...
Can't do the seats that look like suede. Yuk.
lol..."relegated to yes sir responses"
Chris thought that was witty, too. Thanks for watching, nub Fishin!
4:16 LMAOOO
I would never start and rev so fast. Wtf
Rest assured, John Heath, every car we review had idled for about 30 minutes straight, possibly more while we get other shots, before we even get to this part of the video. Ford has to know their target market grew up with muscle cars. start installing the Shelby engine in the black label and i'll buy.
i loved you in fresh prince
should have included suicide doors
Why are you yelling?
Nice 70's porn music in the background... boom-chicka-wow-wow.
The Joker seemed to have designed that interior. Ugly stuff. Cool car otherwise and very good video 📹
LOL Thanks, logan walsh!
Lincoln low it with the demise of the Towncar. I don't waste my time looking at Lincolns anymore.
unfortunately it falls behind in build quality material quality and luxury features compared to the likes of the new Lexus LS and the Cadillac ct-6 but it does give the Buick LaCrosse a run for its money
LMFAO.......
Oh
The stalker is back again
So are you......... Oh !
You are on my thread chubbybitch
77 Large? It's a Ford Fusion at heart.......
More like the Taurus. The Fusion is the base car for the Lincoln MKZ.
almost 80k for a Ford sedan.....that's crazy!! ...I'd forget the interior and exterior both at the same time...lol...
Waste, Garbage, Rubbish, Trash is just putting it lightly when it comes to this CAR???? One hit wonder! (this just my opinion) based with fact.
"Tons of chrome".. yeah chromed Chinese plastic
This car is so blah on the streets when you see it and looks like any other Toyota Avalon.
This looks like the Hyundai Azura 🥴😂😂
Don't insult Lincoln
What a corn puff and no not the car
what I really like about it is that a African American designed that new Continental body shape for the car and SUV.
Wayyyyy over priced
Man you mad niggaish...subscribed.
We appreciate the support, Con Tra.
Nope
Just a dressed up, overpriced Taurus
Shiet right on Bruddda. Next review!
