Arman Pabla, finally !! it gets old when other car channels complain about a full luxury cruiser not being able to carve corners !!! This car is meant to gobble up miles in silence and comfort !!!
Some of your complaints don’t make any sense. The Rolls Royce has buttons for changing gears and they’re also next to the start/stop button. You won’t mistake a metal, round, engraved button for plastic, square buttons. Lincoln did an amazing job. Also, for the curious minds - nothing happens when you push that button while driving. Lincoln thought of everything! It’s luxury in detail. That headroom on the back seat you’re complaining about is because you’re sitting upright. There is a groove in the roof, positioned where your head would be if you actually sit right. It gets even better when you adjust your seat back. Don’t complain or people wouldn’t buy this car! We need more of this leather, metal, wood and class and less performance, spoilers, fake vents and plastic everything! Go Lincoln!
Great review .. my first time watching Chris and I'm quite impressed. The color of this particular press car really added some pop to the already great shots, also the reviewers concise, clear speech was a nice departure from many of those out there who are trying way too hard. Onto the car, my only criticisms are the horrific burl wood trim and the fact that Ford shoved a hell of a motor under hood and fitted it to a 6 speed slush box, in a car that costs 77k!! Fit this baby with the 10 speed auto and offer a "firm" or "sport" mode for the dampers, let's see what she can do when the mood strikes !! The Fusion platform has at times been praised for its handling chops, so we know the bones are there.. Almost every driver gets ambitious at one point or another ! Great review guys. I've been waiting for some good feedback on the Conti for a while now, this is the best I've seen yet. Thank you !
In an odd way, this is the best review of this particular vehicle I have come across, kudos to you young man! All of the negative faults of this car and the manufacturers reasoning behind them were explored and "pleasantly" rejected - the rear seat headroom is unfathomable - ("I'm 5'9 and . . ." ) that said, in my opinion (and I realize that matters not) Lincoln has a few more iterations to go before achieving their goal with this car (whatever that 'goal' is) Looks wise however, the exterior is way better than the Cadillac edge-machines and the interior is heading in the right direction.
I can dig it... I owned a '13 MKS twin turbo & loved that I was one of few cruising around L.A. county & probably all of CA period, that wasn't a limo or livery service vehicle. There were a few things that I wanted my stankin' Lankin' to address & this car does... but honestly, I feel all of what was done here could've been embellished into the MKS & have it caddy on for a few more years; LWB... power increase... black label it...
"This Continental doesn't have a sporting bone in its body"... as someone who has test driven all three engines the 3.0 is total sport in that its beyond quick. And the shifter buttons why are you asking why they would place those next to the start button. WTH comment is that. Where else would you put them?! Ppl complaining about this bend my mind. Its the easiest simplest way to put a car in gear because its one touch of a button. Find something useful to report on like the torque vectoring which ahem is SPORT, and the car has a SPORT setting. GET COOLY OVER HERE PLEASE!!!
Aurora Jones I had an MKC loaner for a week and I loved the push buttons. Unless you're geriatric I don't see the real issue.. SUPER simple to use and a breeze in 3 point turns, parking maneuvers etc. I'd choose this method over a rotary knob any day !
Beautiful! Now that the Aussie Falcon and Fairlane are dead I'd love Ford to import this into Australia with RHD. The only thing I think Ford should consider is adding a wide chrome garnish across the front and rear bumper which would set it apart from all the other painted bumper cars. The other thing I'd like (but know will not happen) is for this car to be RWD like all our Falcons and Failanes were.
It's not like you're going to accidentally turn off the car if you press the engine start button instead of the gear button. You would have to press and hold that button to turn it off, or press the brake and put the car in park first. The engine start/stop button is not to the gear shifter on a lot of cars.
Decent review, although are you really going to mistake those shifter buttons? Shame to hear about the backseat headroom, I think this is a criticism that is far too common. If an average 6ft tall person can't sit in the back, what are the seats really good for? It's a shame his delivery of the review was just so bland. Where's the style, emotion, acting? Pity.
The comment you made about the Continental being targeted for the Chinese market. I heard something like that before and I don't quite understand it. Lincoln was more thinking of the Chinese sales when making this car? Do they sell that many more Lincolns in China than the US? Is this true for any other cars? Can you tell my mind is blown?
Who sits in the back of Luxury sedans anyway? I always feel like the designers are trying to pamper a person who doesn't exist. Do you know what its like to have a friend hop in your car and either not know how to work anything or worse yet screw everything up by trying to work things?
What's wrong with the shift buttons near the start button, the first thing you do after staring the car is put it in gear so what's the issue? And you can't miss press them either
@@walterd7331 Not so for my aunt. She paid full price for her Black Label version in burgundy with a cream interior because she recognized it as a quality car that she could keep until she dies. I've ridden in it plenty of times and I agree with her decision.

I know "if you can buy this car you can afford to burn gas", but that's not the point. the point is, it's not an missle lime the 5 series, so it should have fuel economy at least on part with that car, if not slightly better. but it actually gets significantly worse, which is a let down

the problem with the continental is they made it look EXACTLY like the cheaper MKZ and the mkz is just a rebadged Fusion. Jiwoon Hur I mean Audi does the same thing but they are still amazing cars
His presentation is so forced, needs Cooley to teach him more natural presentation
i like the front and the side. the rear is horrible and looks cheap.
Shit brick on wheels from Ford, painted like a Nissan Murano ...
that's not exactly an argument. it's a great car
push button shifter??? wtf Ford. that has got to be very annoying.
it's better than the circle that one has to turn on some fords. count me out
Akeem Perez drive a car with it its quick and easy
Ewww no ones going to buy that
My aunt did.
since it has no sportiness at who is it for. To me not offering a high hp model. Leaves me uninterested but i am not the audience i guess
Biggest problem? Because they neutered it from auto-show to dealer-floor... I cant tell if this is the new Continental or a used Lincoln MKZ... ya know, that small little Lincoln based on the Ford Fusion that you can buy used for about $18k? Never has my guess for how much a new car costs been as off as this one. Seriously, a sedan, from Lincoln, not even a V8, and you want HOW much? Wasn't your last epic sedan based on the Ford Taurus? And reviewers hated it? And resale was terrible? And you want how much? Meh. Oh, and when a car is offered in FRONT or AWD? Not REAR or AWD? You know exactly where its pedigree started... budget front wheel drive econobox.
Then take your fat ass mouth and wallet and buy a Mercedes or BMW. Sorry this car isn't perfect...but iti obviously sounds like you don't like it.
$77,000 buys you way better cars!
This guy is very boring and his attitudes are forced
