The reason they don't show Ethan's face is more than likely because they're planning to bring him back in a later sequel. I mean we don't actually see him die on screen.
Considering that the final on screen message says, "the fathers story is now done," pretty much implicates that we wont be seeing this dude back anytime soon. Maybe mentioned in dialogue in a future title but for now we shall see. Rosemary winters will be the next new face, an antagonist, a protagonist. Will she be good? Bad? Memories of miranda, as well as Eveline, will forever remain with her as she now holds the power of Cadou

No. Resident Evil games have zero immersion because everything is so over the top, you're entirely out of the experience the moment the first thing goes down.
Immersive writing requires you to be a little grounded and within the reach of the possible.
The moment supernatural extra tall monsters with grotesque antics enter the picture, it's over.
Rose likely has the same regenerative powers as Ethan, Jack,and Miranda. In fact it's implied she was born with Ethans immunity as Miranda couldn't turn her into Eveline.

battling against the now Corrupted BSAA, and Chris Being part of the Newly Re-Formed (Blue) Umbrella corp. and Leading a team of Practically Competent Soldiers who can practically also solo an entire swarm of B.O.W.'s and not die. but this also raises an even bigger question if the BSAA is now using B.O.W.'s someone in their Command has absolutely lost their mind. and chances are they branded chris as a traitor to cover up their Dirty little secret, and this might end up really bad for old Re fans, since there is a potential for Chris to face off against old Friends such as Jill and Barry whom are probably still in the Bsaa.

Poor Ethan... he went through resident evil 7 and 8 and they did him like that. Oh well, at least Chris Redfield looks like himself in this game. I don’t know what was going on with him in RE 7.
In the games they've been trying to blend out the less realistic or campy aspects in favor of more gritty realism ever since 7.
Chris is mine famous among the protagonists (alongside Leon and his hair) for being suddenly Very muscle bound almost out of nowhere when he reappeared in 5.
In 7 he was made to look more like he would've back in re1 remake, but the change was too glaringly noticeable. So they went back to the 5/6 version and just toned down a bit of that beefiness while making him look naturally older. And it worked

If they wanted to tone down on the campiness, maybe they should start writing better stories and dialogue overall.
Back then you had campy story with campy gameplay and campy dialogue / writing and it fit.
Now you get "gritty story" and tonality with campy everything else and it bites, it doesn't fit.
Oh well Resident Evil will never be a good series.

I loved re4 for that exact reason. I think toning down the Campiness here was a Big failure. They could really have leaned in considering the characters involved in this story (like referencing Chris as that Boulder punching bastard).

She reminds me of saddler from resident evil 4 with those legs hanging out.
So, if Rose will be the next protagonist, and she has mold powers, what if we get a scene in her game where she's about to reach a breaking point, only for Ethan to show up (either in a dream or something) to snap her out of it, since he WAS a mold monster, and it seems Evelin herself might be able to be alive to a point in it, it could happen.

Man I gotta say this, I was not expecting a boss fight this good. Even though this RE entry was not one I fully enjoyed, I had a blast in this fight, unlike most of the bosses, this one has a lot of variety, mother Miranda's move set is really interesting.
WE DIDNT SEE HIM DIE THIS MAN SURVIVED FROM MULTIPLE BOSSES AND HAD SEVERED BODY PARTS FROM DAMN CHEM FLUID THIS MAN IS LITERALLY IMORTAL
Ethan may have some cringy dialogue, but what no one can deny is he went through hell to save his family.

Wesker JHG No, he’s talking about RE8. A 2021 game. Everyone knows the original from 1996 was made before silent hill.
Silent hill 1 is about a father searching his adopted child in the mysterious town name silent hill
I also played Silent Hill series. If you see, in RE 8, the protagonist often walk in the alley / small path in the house which it reminds me to Silent Hill And also the Ending about giving a baby ... also strange villains. All concepts and their feels indeed remind me to Silent Hill 1

Plot twist: Ethan had a whole bucket of that med juice and he didn’t die but now is the new enemy/boss in the next game
