    At Salesforce, you’ll be offered a salary and 8-15% annual bonus. As a Salesforce employee, to take exams for certs, you’ll pay $60 per the $200 cert and $68 per the architect exam. I declined after passing multiple stages of interviews because…
    As a Salesforce Consultant for a partner, I got $125,000 salary base plus a $5,000 signing bonus for my 6 Salesforce Certifications, and I was paid bounties for certs, which were free to me. I earned 2X marketing cloud certs in my first 3.5 weeks and was paid a $600 bounty. I also got a $400 exam voucher and passed my guest architect exam. But… no annual bonus, unlike Salesforce was offering me.
    At the end user, I wasn’t asked about certs or offered any and no signing bonus for my certs but the largest salary base.
    However, I chose the partner agency as the growth opportunities are the best, and various bonuses add up in addition to salary, plus free certs matter to me.

    Thank you Ben for taking the time to create this career content and additionally author the complimentary article on your blog. It was highly informative and has helped to me to define a clearer path and strategy for my career. Now I have a bigger picture of where I currently sit in the ecosystem, where I can go within it and where I see myself fitting in the future.

    It is almost impossible to find SF freelancers who work solo because of the insurance risk. The ones that I have encountered were freelancers who operated under a talent agency umbrella.

      Hi there, check out our full rundown of a Salesforce Business Analyst here: www.salesforceben.com/salesforce-business-analyst/

    Thank you Ben. I am a business analyst since couple of years, will it b good for me to switch in sf ? If yes, what should be the starting point for me in sf? Should I get an admin certification first ?

    • @OfficialSFBen
      @OfficialSFBen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Amaan, switching to Salesforce is normally a really streamlined process. Starting on Trailhead and going through the Business Analyst pathways/modules is a great first stop to get up to scratch on Salesforce BA content.
      You would need to get the Salesforce Admin Certification first as that is the prerequisite cert before the BA Certification. Hope this helps!

    Couldn't agree more with your points on the path of Salesforce consultancies. The rate of learning can be intimidating, but well worth it!

    I actually am starting my CRM journey within Microsoft Dynamics, but I figure the atmosphere around that will be very similar to this. Thank you for all this info, I think the best part was breaking down not only the type of roles but why you might join or leave a company for these roles. That is a unique perspective a lot of videos like this don't give.

    Can I pursue a career for SF from anywhere in the world?

    • @OfficialSFBen
      @OfficialSFBen  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Judith, you certainly can! Salesforce roles are prevalent in so many countries, so it's just a matter of finding the right one for you.

      Oracle, SF and Microsoft are used in almost any country/continent. Even in countries with weaker economies SF consultants/specialists get paid better than their IT counterparts.

    Hello Ben
    How much coding (Python) is needed for a cloud architect job?

    • @OfficialSFBen
      @OfficialSFBen  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Manpreet, different cloud computing/development roles need different amounts of knowledge when it comes to code, and it's worth checking Trailhead for this.
      For a Cloud Architect, a good understanding of code will be a great starting point, and you can choose to develop your skills from there. Hope this helps!
