To get rid of the gap, losen the bolts for the bumper brackets by the fog lights on each side, and have someone push up the bumper while you tighten the bolts. I had to do it on mine when i replaced the bumper.

I'm with you Martim M. If you have to do it yourself without help...use a jack to put pressure on the inside brackets that hold the ends of the bumper. Slowly jack until the gap is narrower and then tighten the bolts. These trucks are known for this issue.
That "face bar" with the two holes in it I hate. It's on my truck and I hate the way it looks. Do you know if their is a replacement for it without the holes in it. I guess they are for...well hell I don't know why those holes are in the face bar.

It’s not an HD bumper. The gmc has a trim piece that fits in that gap.

to fix the gap put some spacers in between the bumper and mounts and get longer bolts
Get some clear DRL headlights for the Sierra
Should have swapped the brackets from your oem bumper to the hd one
The gap IS way too big, but that is the factory gap
