Benicio really captures the art of being an actor, bend it when you can bend it, take it somewhere where no one else would go. Now all his scenes are iconic.
Apparently when the actor playing the detective said “what are you saying?” He really didn’t understand what he was saying and that was his response lol
@@patriceaqa288 funny story too, the almost unintelligible voice he uses was his and the director’s idea. Del Toro improvised it because he reasoned the only real thing his character was to do was die to set an example to the rest of the team if they chose to run or stab Soze in the back. I love how this video is the only video on this channel and this channel is called Unusual Fenster. I guess I'm not expecting more videos so thank you random guy for posting this. Exactly what I wanted. Also Fenster is the most underrated guy in this movie. Best Supporting character ever. I wish he got nominated for best supporting Oscar and I'm glad Kevin Spacey won it.
Watch dead presidents from 95,same year as this...and watch Terrence play a mumbling, welldressed crook. He´s like black Fenster there soi youre not wrong.
This is an excellent film; full of hidden details, subtext and nuances. It's one of my greatest films of all time for many reasons. What I really love about this film is how the production team was able to tell us that Fenster and McManus were intimates without a bunch of shots of the two men making out. You had to pay attention.
This dude shares my last name which weirds me out when people say it bc it's such an uncommon last name and I usually automatically assume they mean my family
I knew right away it was going to be Spacey because they were leading the viewer to think, well whoever it is, it’s not Spacey. But Spacey is a hell of an actor, he’s not going to be in this kind of movie and not be ‘the man’…just play some insignificant nothing role…nah, he’s there for a reason. (This was back when it was allowed to like Spacey)

Del Toro gives a performance so real and audacious it reminds me of Marlon Brando when he was young. Just brilliant.
No dislikes on this video. That is refreshing, well met, and not surprising. Well done to Mr. Del Toro, and well done to this maker of this video.

Lol he does
In the end fenster knew the most about soze. Says a lot.
The fact he’s arrested in a red tuxedo is so subtle yet genius.
That was his idea to dress up unique so his small part would be memorable including the garbled accent .He came up with it not the writers 😉
There's nothing subtle about a red tuxedo, but I get your point.
It's a black suit. Red shirt.
Everybody keeps asking him, "what did you say," but I understand him perfectly. I guess it's because I'm from the South.
“It’s fuckin’ ain’t right…no PC…not goddamn right” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
