It looks nothing like it did in 1991 during my travels there. Makes me sad. I was in Calengute (sp?)for more than a month. The people I met and got to know there were so kind and helpful. They really were wonderful.
From what I understand, the Israelis in Goa discriminate against the Indians. That's not fair to the Indians one bit, if you ask me. Also, 5:10 - the American dude is taking credit for Goa being cool. To the Israelis and other non-Indians in Goa: Welcome to Goa. Please be nice to the locals without thinking that you're better than them.
My daughter went to India to study massage therapy (at age 19) --I did not want her to go (her father encouraged her) -- she hung out in Goa and was raped repeatedly, drugged repeatedly and drank vodka all day long ---- it is a drug ridden place --- horrible place!!!!!! She got so high, she was hospitalized and we had to fly there and pick her up ----- I hate India, and I hate Goa---- they destroyed my child, they destroyed her life (that was 13 years ago) ---- she still to this day, in 2022, she has PTSD and occasionally severe depression, with suicidal thoughts. ------STAY THE HELL OUT OF OF INDIA!!!!!!!! This is an atrocious place and NO ONE should ever feel safe there, NO ONE should ever visit this nasty, ra
