- I finally made my way to the Monarch Crest trail and it DID NOT disappoint! This 30 mile, mostly downhill epic in Southern Colorado is definitely one of the best day rides that I've ever done.

I have to say the music you chose for your videos combined with the trail noise (maybe except the super rough sections 😉) puts me in a such a relaxed state. It's almost like meditation. Your videos are so awesome. I have watched so many of the past few months, thank you for all of your content.

This trail was soooo fun, I was smiling for 5 straight hours until my face hurt!!! Have any of you ridden monarch crest?
No but I have seen a lot of video of cyclocross bike guys blasting it. I also frequently smile til the face hurts. I have muscular cheeks now.

July 2021 I was in the place where you started the trail, leaving Crested Butte without my bicycle, then I saw this trail and “tried” to hike uphill to take a look, 10 minutes after that I was dying, my lungs were screaming for oxygen!! No I don’t smoke, I am from Texas!!
How can I get the fitness to climb what you guys climbed?? 🥲

This is also a great example of how different bikes handle the same difficult terrain. Especially for folks like us who have a hard time understanding different bike styles.

These videos keep me going. For the rest of my life I want to work with nature as my office, because life is about living. Just clearing out some financial rut I've been stuck in for some time, though next year will create a lot of new opportunities for me. So looking forward to do things myself for a change(hiking, biking, photography etc)

One of my experiences on Monarch Crest is getting passed by Don McCLung (the lung) on the hard uphill right before it drops down to Foosies creek I believe (Right before your drone footage spot). He was on a single speed and he was nearly 65 years old while I was nearly 40.

Way cool! Love the downhill! Drove from chico CA to Pikes peak to make a run down on mt bike (illegally),,,then went to crested butte for 5 days. Then To Mammoth CA to race the Kamikaze! Fun Fun Fun.....the Hermosa creek trail above Durango is a great 22 mile downhill,more fun!................(Pikes Peak,you can hit 55mph and quick right off the top,rangers tried but never caught me!)

I started riding when I was 24, and been riding for 42 years, most intently the past few years. Recently started single track mountain biking. But you have inspired me to work towards long distance biking, and your BRAGBRI videos are my inspiration for long distance biking, both here in CO and WY.. Hey Ryan...just rode Monarch this past Saturday (9/18) with several friends from here in ABQ. 4th time for me, 1st time for the other guys. Conditions were pretty good although we found the Rainbow trail to be pretty torn up in some places. Sure hope this winter brings a great snowpack as it seemed very dry. Thanks for making a video of this ride, I am sharing this video with family and friends who always ask me what these rides are like, your videos certainly help show what the MTB experience is like.

Man what an amazing ride! My wife and myself went to Colorado for the first time last year. It was when there was that big slide on 70 so we went down through Aspen and Leadville to get to Denver. What an awesome detour! I would love to MTB out there someday! Oh and btw that Reeb is the bike I want oh so badly!!!! Forget all the carbon bikes out there! Those guys make some amazing bikes! Metal for the win 🤘🏼

REEB is actually BEER spelled backwards. As Ryan quit drinking a while ago, it makes it the perfect bike.

Not surprised to learn it all began with a Woman.
Trail Magic, I was trying to set up a trail, to link up 3 valley villages, where I lived at the time, which I hoped would spawn businesses along the way.
Epic for sure! If you are ever near Owensboro, Kentucky you have to try The Rudy Mine Trails in Ben Hawes Park. It is just a mini Epic, but Epic nonetheless. Thanks for all your fine work on the videos! Elvis Oost.
