Good lord Mike, you just did the best promotional video for the CASE boys that could be done!!! I wouldn't have done that myself for any money let alone volunteering to do it!! Thank you for bringing us along on your journey!!
Dude, you have my respect tackling that hill ...mighty impressive and btw the township is lucky to have a citizen such as yourself for all your efforts 👌
I always know that whenever the three of you guys get together this is gonna be some interesting type of video/TH-cam entertainment. And you didn't disappoint me once again, Thank You.
Mr Simon... All I can say is you have one helluva set of steel cojones mowing that hill! My hat's off to you sir!! The Minotaur and the Baumalite are the bomb!!!
I had to mow a hill side like that so we could access our manholes. I was using a Cat 299D3 skid steer with rubber tracks. It was raining and I made more of a mess than anything. Only difference is you had a mud pit to worry about at the bottom. I had a 150' cliff leading straight into Puget Sound to worry about. Scariest job I ever did. Those skid steers are something else.
Totally amazing performance of man, power unit and mowing tool on a seriously dangerous slope of rough grass. Congratulations to you all including the camera man.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Well, I know right ! Been about 3 years or so but I mentioned about these,,,I had the JD333G, with that mower out front- it adds to front weight and balances out for much steeper climbs, I done 55 degree with a 84" triple blade, I could also go up at a 45 angles cross ways--the lower tail end of the downhill side track helped with a slight better stance, simular with excavator. You are correct, those steelys are the cats meow. I almost got a set for the ol 333G. I gotta say - I noticed no one was standing in front of the cutter towards the end of the video HUMMM. THAT'S ALL I GOT TO SAY ABOUT THAT ... I have sent rocks over 100 yards before, over a river edge straight up and down nearly 100' - drive up to it and tilt right on over and catch all that tall stuff and raise up as backing - nothing but horizon after wards - clip a rock and she flys . Have some pics and videos myself too. You would do yourself good with that Case - gonna need someone to operate her though because ya can't be in the 120 / Minotaur / dumper Dan / 240 / and prepping the Home Oval Track at the same time 🔥
From the first time I saw this machine I knew it would shine on a slope like this…that forestry vibe was very obvious on this job. The 550 looks so overbuilt and tank like , that extra weight really made this thing dig in and not slip tracks. When I saw you trying some side-hilling I thought “man DP is nuts” but it held pretty good for a straight cleat machine. The HP was on full display here..considering that you backed up that 1to1 grade in a 20,000 lbs. machine with no sound of any great laboring was pretty impressive.
I'm impressed with were that machine will go and what it can do. I thought steel tracks would tear up the ground more than rubber, but how wrong I was. Full credit to Case for designing such a machine. I bet the pucker factor was quite high at times on those grades. I think when the time comes to return it you will buy it if you can afford it. A Dirt Perfect sticker would look good on the panel above the sprocket. Keep up the good work and content,
You sure got all my respect...That was super steep! That was a great commercial for the equipment. They should use that as a selling point, for just how it got thru the adverse conditions!
That Case 550 Is a Beast of a Machine ..They would work slick out on the Pipeline in certain places...I've been on those hills like that. And It only takes a half a Sec too get yourself in A Real PICKLE..Great Job Dirt Perfect .MBTS did a Great job Filming...LOL .Farmer Chris has BOSSMAN down too a T.... 🤣 🤣 Great Video Guys..
The more I see of the 550 in action and its capabilities the more impressed I become. This project would have been a bear, in my estimation, without the horse power/ torque, steel tracks and the weight of the machine. As I have said before, I don’t pay your bills, I don’t know what you have for upcoming projects, but I would think if It were me, I might take a hard look at what the 550 might be able to do as far as opening a little niche market for future filler jobs to keep things rolling, just the bucket alone with its capacity is a game changer for me, not mentioning everything else about it. Thanks for the tag along video sir. Enjoyed it.
Mike this proves it! You have to cut a deal and buy the case DL550! Can’t wait to see video with it using the Fecon mulched, it will be a beast with it
That is one impressive machine. I do believe you found a winner Mike. Not sure I would have wanted to make the first trip down that hill but it sure seemed stable.
Nice work. Case new demo video. Jerry coming around to it yet ? Way it going, in a few years you be able to send a drone in and drive it from fence line.
There is a fine line between bravery and stupidity, and you where on it. Well done. The DL550 is a very impressive machine. A ruckus rake attachment on the back and it would be the best finishing machine on the planet. Finish grade and ready for seed in one pass.
Yeah that is the same Brand as my Grandpa's caterpillar tractor Case as well as our neighbors' wheel tractor excellent brand you could do a lot worse, I was 9 years old watching my grandad push over trees with his Case tractor, still love watching heavy equipment push over trees.
I’ve seen “Brush Hogs” on lots of different equipment but the combination of the DL550 with the Baumalight brush mower is nothing less than impressive!
A great Mulching order with the Case DL 550. In a steep fract of Country to Mulch a mix from old long Grass with Bush between. The result very good. The Tract of Country to other to use.
Case owes you for the demonstrations and endorsements of the Minotaur. I’m certain they will get some sales just because of your TH-cam videos. Impressive machine.
As sphincter retention exercises go that one was a doozy Mike. Closest I got to that was pushing the top edges of a borrow pit in in Bosnia operating an old D8 (with turnbuckles ) serving in the UN . The Pit wasn’t benched and the drop off was over 60 foot with some serious cracks running up the face. I aged about 10 years in under an hour. Kept my seatbelt off for that one 😬👍🏼 Cracking job that machine is a beast but in the right hands perfect for the job. Skills Mike 👌🏼
Mike is Proving the 550 to be a unbelievable durable multitask machine. It’s weight alone puts it in a class above the others. Great video Mike. You are a brave man…lol…🧐🫣👷🏻♂️ Farmer Chris needs one of these 550’s for the farm with some of the attachments.
Hey DP! This video is amazing thing to watch I could see this DL550 being a very good piece of your fleet! This proves right here that this DL550 is like a tank! Compact but really amazing and its has proved to myself that this is a amazing machine! I hope you purchase it! Would like to see a video with the grader blade attachment! Thanks for sharing this!
I've seen the County on some sketchy slopes along the highways with a tractor. One home in the area has a very steep slope and I saw the guy mowing it using a zero turn going across the slope with a winch attached to the side connected to an anchor in the ground at the top of the hill. I have a steep section where the road is 8 feet higher than my yard but I mow that downhill with my zero turn.
Impressive performance by both the machines and the operator. I'm sure that at times the pucker factor was high enough that the seatbelt was superfluous. The camera angle from the roof was the best of the video. Well done!
You are a brave man. I can't imagine trying to do this in a tractor. I'd be tempted to call in one of those folks with a small goat herd and let them take care of the vegetation.
Wow Nice job Mike. The 550 is in Legend Mode now, it managed to make that "look" easy, hat's off to the operator and his cheering crowd. It's a keeper to me if you can work a good deal out with Case, you can't beat it. Keep up the good work Mike.
Wowzers, that Minotuar sure proved itself the best skid stear out there these days taking on a hill with that steep a slope. It's easily the most versitile. Now if you can get a certain Lady to sign the check to add it to your fleet. The comedic banter between y😮ou and Arron with Farmer Chris added in was awesomely entertaining. Thanks Mike, for the Friday morning smiles.
I grew up a 4-H member. I fully support them and I love Country Fairs. With admission prices and the cost of everything at a county fair... what you did is a paying job! Period. Food vendors, ride operators/owners etc... typically pay either a percentage of sales or a flat rate to be there. Monster truck, tractor pulls, demo derby, combine demo derby, stock car/sprint car races etc... usually have entrance fees and/or sell tickets to get in. There's enough money for you not to need to volunteer time, fuel, equipment maintenance expenses. Maybe time if you've got a big heart...
It's y no Brainier, if you can swing it, buy it! Very impressive machine! Sell the Taco, to off set the cost ,a bit. Everything you need, and more,in a skidsteer. Good Luck 🤞 hope you keep it. The Old VT logger.
Our Deere 333 is supposed to cut across a 50 degree slope. I go down slopes like that. We have some pond dam backs that are about that steep. We have rubber tracks and once you start down you are mostly along for the ride steering is all you can do.
I used to work for a guy that had a contract to mow ammo bunkers on a Naval base. We had hills like that on 3 sides. Too steep for mowers and couldn’t drive tracked machines on them due to weight restrictions, so it was ALL weed trimmer work…. Hot, dirty, muscle aching steepness, and CHIGGERS (if you know what they are, you’ll understand the agony)! As always, another great and entertaining episode. Awesome!
The case is the best I have seen, really at everything you have tried it on. Five days a week I mow lake banks, some even steeper, they wake you up after lunch. We use Zero turn mowers, once you hit a wet spot your along for the ride. Great stuff, Mike. I hope you don't pay Aran for all his support . (-:
WOW! That is a steep hill and Arron is a great spotting coach for that grade. Excellent team work. You can sure see where the rubber tracks were NG. The Case Minotaur/Baumalight brush mower (& Mike) was the boss on that hill an I'm a big John Deere fan.
Wow MIKE the 550 is amazing it redefines skid steer technology ,I reckon Case has put a big challenge out to other manufactures ,OH the OPERATORS no slouch either ,and the camera man's very brave filming on that steep sloap would have made a great action shot Aaron rolling down the hill filming all the way LOL.As always very entertaining mate thank Cheers Kym Adelaide
My JD 2010 Row Crop tractor, with the rear wheels screwed all the way out might mow it sideways. But, if a rear wheel drops in a ground hog hole - it may be game over! Great video. Thanks; Mike, Aaron & Chris! Lee
That is exactly why it is so dangerous to go sideways across a slope that steep. Most people dont get that, but a 25 degree slope can quickly become a 40 degree slope via a pretty gentle depression.
To think when we did road construction back in the seventies even, we would groom the hillsides by hanging by cable off of another dozer with a winch and we sucked our way up and pushed our way down depending on cable to keep from just dropping nearly straight down.. in places, the dozer doing the pushing would swing out from the hillside and just hang from cable only... very few accidents, a real testimony to american steel cables in those days
Slow and steady with no sudden movements and trusting the vehicle after your initial look over the problem at hand.. that's a good class in how it's done there Mike!
Love that machine where would you put the DP sticker? I enjoyed how Aaron was your safety man and it showed how much he cares for your safety not to mention the trust you have in him, great team work.
we used to do that with hands shears.. honest I don't know how it feels inside the machine but the bottom is not bad but when you started backing up the hill I could see how steep it is. most of the weight is in the back end, and the machine is like that too.. I had to add AWESOME STICKY CAMS
The camera doesn’t show the steepest, but it do show the dirty WINDOW.😂 comment generator. Good job DP. If I turn my computer on edge you are mowing on flat hill. Love you guys!
that is an impressive machine! Kudos for the volunteer work. I was wondering if you could just do a controlled burn, but then I saw the fence was wood, and I also imagine a controlled burn would require a whole bunch of county involvement etc. Again, impressive machine. Cheers from Tokyo!
The DL550 is just bad ass. Brave mowing DP. Hope we get to see that ripper do some working the ground in future videos. Great use of the ripper as a stabilizer.
i remember pushing brush with aj d 550 down hill you put seat belt on feet on roll cage blade all the way down the hill and winch up after you got to the bottom .
Wow , what a mighty machine , for its size it outshines a lot of other larger ( and smaller ) machines , and the brushcutter isn't bad either . Great job !!!
I’ve got that exact mower in stock if anyone needs one
sell sell
that one was an easy sale when you thru in 2 cases of pepsi
Clint how much for high flow 72” if available
Does man behind the scene get paid when your doing these freebies?
Does it come with that model of 'pusher' on the rear? 😂 👍
Trust me , it showed the hill. Nice work. Keep on smiling.
At about 23:34 that shot really does a good job of showing just how freaking steep that hill is!
I always know that whenever the three of you guys get together this is gonna be some interesting type of video/TH-cam entertainment. And you didn't disappoint me once again, Thank You.
Yeah, I know three get together there’s a lot of grab ass. I do enjoy it a little.
Mr Simon... All I can say is you have one helluva set of steel cojones mowing that hill!
My hat's off to you sir!!
The Minotaur and the Baumalite are the bomb!!!
What’s really impressive is the amount of time you give free of charge to local community stuff.
The cliffs out at Hansville?
Totally amazing performance of man, power unit and mowing tool on a seriously dangerous slope of rough grass. Congratulations to you all including the camera man.

For some reason, I can watch skid steer/brush cutter videos all day long. So satisfying! Thanks for posting DP! Keep up the great channel!

Your town should send a thank you to Case for you having the 550 on promo and showing it to them.
You sure got all my respect...That was super steep! That was a great commercial for the equipment. They should use that as a selling point, for just how it got thru the adverse conditions!
Definitely seeing the slope on camera. Very satisfying seeing the results.
Masterful operation of the Mino in a very dangerous project. Awesome work DP
The side view of you coming down the hill really illustrates how steep the hill is. The words “guts” and “glory” comes to mind. Excellent video.👍👍👍 🇨🇦
You and the Case did really well! That was scary steep! It's nice having a spotter.
That machine is so impressive. It made mowing that hill look easy.
That Case 550 Is a Beast of a Machine ..They would work slick out on the Pipeline in certain places...I've been on those hills like that. Your minotaur is a beast. It handled mowing that hill with very little effort. Your community is lucky to have you.
Mike this proves it! You have to cut a deal and buy the case DL550! Can’t wait to see video with it using the Fecon mulched, it will be a beast with it
Wow...your machine did a great job on that steep hill. I was impressed.
NOT his machine it is DEMO from CASE!
I still would like to see a VINTRACK tackle it ;) just saying..... tractortim??? LOL
What I have seen in your last few videos that is one heck of a machine. Great work guys.
I think you are doing a great job in funding reasons why this toy needs to be part of DP's tool kit.
A ginormous set of gonads DP! Glad you kept this versatile beast. It’s a treat to see it in action. Thanks for sharing!
You definitely have a big set, and that machine is amazing. Case has a homerun....so far
"For free" is always good!!! For the owner... 😂
There is a fine line between bravery and stupidity, and you where on it. Well done. The DL550 is a very impressive machine. A ruckus rake attachment on the back and it would be the best finishing machine on the planet. Finish grade and ready for seed in one pass.
That was truly amazing for sure! I think you should keep this one, seems to be a winner in so many different tasks!
Can't wait for your review on that beast. Amazing machine

Not gonna lie, that was impressive. Single grouser tracks were a must on that one. Great video!
It was a wild ride for sure
Have seen a couple videos on the Demo machine have to say I’m very impressed with i
What I’ve seen. Case has done a great job designing this!!!
You are a brave man. I can't imagine trying to do this in a tractor.
I'd be tempted to call in one of those folks with a small goat herd and let them take care of the vegetation.
Option 4 bring in goats. They actually do that here in Southern California for the rolling hills. God bless
That dl550 Minotaur and Baumalight are an impressive pairing. Man, that dl550 is a BEAST! What a versatile machine. Great video. Thanks DP. 👍
Wow Nice job Mike. The 550 is in Legend Mode now, it managed to make that "look" easy, hat's off to the operator and his cheering crowd. It's a keeper to me if you can work a good deal out with Case, you can't beat it. Keep up the good work Mike.
Always great to see such community spirit, that's proper seat of your pants mowing great job 👍
14:25 Awesome job MBHTS, great shot of the angle.
Wowzers, that Minotuar sure proved itself the best skid stear out there these days taking on a hill with that steep a slope.

Option number four burn the hillside.

Mike, You need to buy that machine. If you haven’t already that is. What an addition it would be to you fleet.
That'll give you some serious pucker factor ! Great operating !
Not a big Case fan but that's damn impressive on a 1:1 slope
Not 1:1 more like 3:1
@@peytoncomeaux8134
I stand corrected
roughly measured 20 degree slope
Draft control would be nice on implements like that mower attachment. Just like on a tractor. Ask farmer Chris what I'm talking about.
MBTS great video showing how steep the hill is. Looks like the camera is level and gives a great perspective.
My goodness, good job glad you didn’t have any problems.
😮 22:29 that’s about the best shot to show how steep that hill is…that little ♉️🚜is a beast!😊
Good morning sunshine oh that hill is scary! Good luck! Much love from Henderson Ga
WOW! That is a steep hill and Arron is a great spotting coach for that grade. Excellent team work.
You can sure see where the rubber tracks were NG. The Case Minotaur/Baumalight brush mower (& Mike) was the boss on that hill an I'm a big John Deere fan.
Job well done guy's, that Minotaur is impressive.. 🇺🇸
Wow MIKE the 550 is amazing it redefines skid steer technology ,I reckon Case has put a big challenge out to other manufactures ,OH the OPERATORS no slouch either ,and the camera man's very brave filming on that steep sloap would have made a great action shot Aaron rolling down the hill filming all the way LOL.As always very entertaining mate thank
Cheers Kym

🤣🤣👍
I was impressed with the machine before but that right there....wow.
Another great video, i think case will be well happy with a video like that showcasing their machine .
It’s Very Good that you All Volunteer, Hopefully You Claim your Time and Equipment/Fluids on Your Taxes.
Hey Mike, the pucker factor would be high on a job like this. That bit of side slip makes it even more fun!😜
Dude is standing dangerously close in front of the running machine. But the cameraman never dies. Good job!
"SLOW RIDE TAKE IT EASY. " MBTS, great camera work.
I'm looking forward to seeing the 85i0 laying pipe with the weight on the front.,,,.. Getting traction on all of the tracks...
That sir is impressive all around ,that would be a great machine for the hills of West Virginia, thanks for sharing.
we used to do that with hands shears.. honest I don't know how it feels inside the machine but the bottom is not bad but when you started backing up the hill I could see how steep it is. most of the weight is in the back end, and the machine is like that too..
Blessed and Happy Easter to everyone.
That machine is a real Wee Beastie nice job on that hill the last few moments of the video show the hill the best .
When the camera was mounted on the front of the mower facing aft, the degree of slope was very apparent. Wow !
Wow on the edge of my seat hoping see the case power through. She is a keeper
The DL550 is just bad ass. Brave mowing DP. Hope we get to see that ripper do some working the ground in future videos. Great use of the ripper as a stabilizer.
hay guys that thing is a mountain goat very impressive you have got to keep that thing very cool thanks for sharing keep it coming 👍👍👍
i remember pushing brush with aj d 550 down hill you put seat belt on feet on roll cage blade all the way down the hill and winch up after you got to the bottom .
That cleaned up nicely. That machine is truly incredible. You are a champion for your community.
Good job DP. My company Mows at a landfill 2 times a year and all the hills are like this. It definitely keeps the nerves on edge lol.
Wow , what a mighty machine , for its size it outshines a lot of other larger ( and smaller ) machines , and the brushcutter isn't bad either . Great job !!!
Mike Aaron and Chris amazing job, it was extremely steep! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
👍👍👍👍 I don't know you will ever find anything you can't do with it. Awesome!!!!
