Last Trains To Pass Abandoned Depot, Railroad Diamonds & Fast Trains In Deshler, Ohio, CSX Trains!

- The Abandoned Railroad Station Sees Its Last Trains! Fast CSX Freight Trains Pound The Diamonds! Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad and Canadian National Railway are seen. These trains are in Deshler, Ohio on the CSX main lines that cross next to the old railroad buildings. The old train station was torn down just a few days after I filmed this. CSX wanted it moved but nobody had the funds to do it. We also see a 3 track railroad crossing in town with a westbound train. We get a close look at the rail at the crossing and a close look at the rail on an abandoned railroad siding next to a building. Look how old that rail is! 1915. Deshler also still has some old Baltimore And Ohio Railroad signals that are still in use. These signals are on the Toledo Sub and there are some more of them that I filmed in Troy and Tipp City, Ohio. I rode up to Deshler with 1960gambit and we hung out with rail fans at the Deshler Crossroads Park. What did you think about all the foreign power that I caught? What did you think about the poor train station being torn down? Please leave a comment below.

The orange colors are spectacular with the evening sunset
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the shout-out. Look me up when you're over in part of the woods we'll go catch the last two Triple Crown trains. Great video
Chessie made a kool flip on her dismount from the couch.
Great old train station on it's last days great location great video thanks jaw tooth
That BNSF Loco was sure bouncing!
Too bad about the depot - luv old buildings! Great video of diamonds trains going over them!!! Thanks for filming!
Glad you enjoyed it
Those cars hammering over the joints on the diamond is a sound to behold!
Thanks for watching !
Awesome video Jawtooth! Glad you got to film the final days of the Deshler Depot! now we can go back and watch and remember it! it looks so bare there now that it's gone, really sad they didn't save it. Thanks for sharing and saving it in video!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for preserving a bit of history, kind sir!!
Thanks for watching!
Merci beaucoup pour cette très belle vidéo !
👍Thanks a lot! 🙏
thanks for watching !

Brother you've come a long way since starting this channel and I commend you for your dedication to providing Great Content to Railroaders and Train Buffs.
Thanks Again Brian 😊🇺🇸🙏
Thanks for watching!
@@JawTooth You are Most Welcome Brother 😊🙏
Love to hear trains pounding the diamonds, music to my ears. Real shame they didn’t do enough to preserve that station, that’s a piece of RR history. Another awesome location to hang out and watch trains. Thanks for sharing JT.👍🏼🚂✌🏻
Thanks for watching!
@@JawTooth your welcome JT.👍🏼
I enjoy the details you include in your videos. Watched the station demolition on “Virtual Railfan”. It was amazing how much soot was in the roof. The dust cloud was impressive. Thanks for capturing another location for the ages..
Thanks for watching! I
Always enjoy the sound of a train crossing a diamond. Almost musical :) Two nice tanker trains followed by a nice long stack train - not a bad day of railfanning!
Heavy metal
Great video Jawtooth, it's a shame the old depot is gone. A lot of memories there.
Thanks for watching!
Cool video, great variety of power on those trains.
RIP Deshler station
Thanks for watching!
Hello, my friend. 😍 💕 Awesome upload. 👍 Have a nice day. 🤗 ✨
Ah the man from the corn field, love it JT .Some old and new, along with a cat and your dogs, what more could we want
Thanks for watching !
Thats the best sound ever, a train on a diamond. Cooooooooooooooooooooool. Greetings from Berlin/ Germany. Sven
Thank you very much!
Wow those trains were booking, what's the hurry. That last train must have emptied the yard. Great video JT👍👍
Thanks 👍
Not sure what it is about trains that I find captivating, but I enjoy watching them. Thanks for posting this. 😇
Thanks for watching!
Shame about the train station building..I was afraid the demolitioning would happen. But that is still a great railfanning location! Great video JT!
Thanks for watching!
Looks like very large layout Jaw Tooth and the locomotives look awesome too and watching enjoying and the side show too 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😃😎❤❤ AWESOME video Jaw Tooth
Very sad..history lost...thank you again Jaw Tooth..really appreciate your videos !!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Another great vid. Hate it when structures get torn down. Life goes on.
Got almost all the major train companies!! Sweet!. The railroad spiker is another one of my favorites cause it's home town area. I've said it for yrs to come over this way!! Logan, Peru, little of Kokomo just cause of the history. We just have the grain and Omni that keeps the trains rolling through here. Another good one is GMF!!. He does local round Lafayette, Delphi, and the other same areas!! Good video again brother
Too bad about the old station. Here in AZ we have the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park. Their ticket desk and gift shot are in a refurbished depot. It's a nice place. The park is free to visit, but you need tickets for the rides.
Lol
What is the hurry son. 🤣🤘🏻
I like Deshler! Its nice how so many trains travel through there in such a short period of time. I also like the diamond
Number 1. Keep them coming Son!
Nice video, I see Deshler is just a short ways from Fostoria.
Good spot at that diamond. It's too bad they tore that old depot down. I understand that it was dilapidated. I saw a pic online of a coal car against it that derailed in the early 2000s. Great video!
Thanks for watching!
WOW, Great action
JawTooth
To bad about that station
Great good video, mr Jaw Tooth.
It's in America just like in the Netherlands do whe need that station modernising it. To short passengers or costumers for cargo close all. The transport by rail is efficiënt but the manager think by Bus or truck is cheaper
Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands.
Thanks for watching !
Deshler has 50 - 60 trains a day . Busy place!
Glad you got to see the station before it was taken down. Lot of history in that building.
Thanks for watching!
It's a shame the community couldn't get together to save that old train depot like they did in Hamilton. The line must really be uneven there at that crossing, all the engines were bouncing like mad!
Some small communities just don't have the money. They tear these down all the time in the small towns in the midwest. Gov. Dewhiny has ruined Ohio.
From what I heard it wouldn't have been feasible to move--was in horrible shape structurally
I just wonder what CSX wants to put there on that spot.
@@denimadept May have been a safety liability and still having to pay taxes on it.
All the foreign power. Wow
Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
Thanks for watching !
Dang the 1st 2 trains had 4 different locos. Wow
Love them diamonds keep them coming thank you great video
Thank you! Will do!
Love it my top 2 most favorite trains in the 🌎

Amazing videos jaw tooth keep up the good work
Thanks! Will do!
Awesome catches! Love the 2 tanker trains
awesome, Love those tank trains, That is canned heat ! "What is the hurry son? "
Thanks 👍
Always sad to see an old station get taken down. Two big tank trains in a row. Cool catch.
Thanks for watching!
I spent far too many hours watching the Deshler rail cam during lockdown. It's been good seeing it from a different perspective.
Thanks for watching!
Good video jawtooth,.
JT yet another great catch! Love watching these vids while working from home! Best regards from Stockholm Sweden!
Thank you very much!
Wow that's some old rail! So cool!
Thanks for watching!
Another great video sir! It looked like it was a bit of a bumpy ride for the engineer and the conductor at 1:52.
Very!
ChainsawN&W1218, like seeing the Ethanol trains, they where highballing, I caught a NS tanker train, Ethanol train yesterday in Christiansburg VA, also caught a huge hopper train with mid helper DPUS, coal train, local with NS caboose waiting on an Eastbound,IM with mid helper DPU, and an empty rail train, good day👍🛤!
Nice video! Love the fall colors of BNSF, the old station, sorry it can't be saved and the diamond. Those tankers were sure in a big hurry!
Thanks for watching!
WOW, you lived in Morehead. I know it well. My hometown is West Liberty. Right down the road from Morehead. Small world.💯😎👍
Very cool! I have been to West Liberty a bunch. As a matter of fact just yesterday I was at Cave Run Lake
@@JawToothsweet, that's some beautiful area. We were just down recently for my Aunts funeral. I always love going down home. So much more laid back and relaxing.💯😊
That derailment happened 6 miles away from where I live. It was a old NKP line that used to run from Delphos Ohio to St.Louis. The cloverleaf line
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this. We get another look of the station before the structure was razed. It's a shame no one wanted to move it anywhere but when the structure was demolished, the building though appeared to have been in a fire because of the dark black soot that showed as the building came down. I'm afraid the vandals had fun with it before and added to the damage from the collision.
it was sad seeing them destroy that old station it was cool to see
82 on that first train. Wow, only 79 cars on the next one. I loved seeing the UP and CN locomotives on that one. It looks like there's a high spot on the tracks on that line, the way the trains go up and then down again. Wow, a lot of shorter trains. Only 81 on the next one. 93 on the next one. Cool to see the BNSF locomotives.
Planning a trip there on the 18th for a cookout at the rail park. Sad the depot had to be torn down but it had become a fire hazard and as I saw in the video was really ready to fall down on its own.
Have fun and thanks for watching !
Cookout?.......what time should I be over?🍴🤣
Thanks for this video.
Brandy (and the others) could use a doormat with high firm brush pile (coir) for a backscratcher.
Thanks for watching!
The old terminal has been down for 2 weeks! New gravel. Clear view of the NB /SB tracks. Hats off to Tim Sleesman for keeping the park mowed!
Thanks for watching!
Good live action Son ...But wait there's more ...Them 3 dogs and that cat has the best demeaners I ever seen ... Thx ... I've seen Tie Spikers channel , it's a good one ...
Glad you enjoyed it!
It was sad to see the station go. Once gone, they never come back. Some communities gather together and find ways to preserve.
Great catches thanks for sharing
thanks for watching !
Nice job with all the catches at Deshler! Seems like a great railfanning location to get some great footage daily. Looking fwd to seeing some great footage from Troy, Ohio where the trains run between the houses down the middle of that street! How far is it from Deshler! Thanks again for sharing some awesome footage with us JT!
Thanks for watching!
Extremely shortsighted to tear down station. The railroad made Deshler. The town could've applied for historic preservation grants from Ohio. No excuses for the loss of the depot.
Unfortunately it would have fallen down on its own eventually. Horrible shape.
Well the taxes what tears down a lot of buildings they can't see it's not making a lot of money and lower then they just raise them
They frame wings were done for but I wondered if the brick middle part was sound or not .understand it was hit in a derailment .
@@jhonsiders6077 jawtooth said they wanted it out.Prob concerned it would fall on the tracks.Maybe a safety liability for CSX?IDK--just guessing
That building was too far gone to save. Coal train ran into it years ago. No way anyone could afford to move it, let alone a town of 1200 ppl.
Good Morning Jaw Tooth.
Hello William!
Did you notice the lead engines bouncing on the two Eastbounds as they went across the road crossings? Cool videos love West bound Z train too.
Cool old Depot in Signal Tower
And jaw tooth and that's train station seen its days ❤😊
Nice
Nice video my dear. Greetings from Bangladesh ♥️🇧🇩♥️🇧🇩
Thank you so much 🙂
Should have sold it. I would have made a residence out of it! Those tracks run through Defiance OH. I used to have an apartment that looked out across a small park right to the tracks! Also rented a place where the railroad crosses the Auglaize River. Loved it! Got to see trains day and night!
Oh wow! That would be cool watching trains at random times
Really saddened to hear about the destruction of the station at Dreshler but it has happened all too often - sigh So glad that you got the videos of it before the end of its existence and thanx for the heads up of another rail fan vlogger
Thanks for watching!

Four railroads on this route. Impressive.

Nice video of trains passing through Deshler, Ohio on 28 June 2022, Red! It is a shame that something could not be done to preserve the depot at Deshler, Ohio.
Thanks for watching!
Great video I was looking for this I found a live feed to this location but it’s definitely showing the train station is taking down. I keep looking at the train tower thinking how cool it will be there actually make that into my house.
I think it was last summer when they tore the station down. I filmed trains going by less than a couple weeks before they tore it down. I filmed one of the last trains by a station in Florida also and today I posted a video of a station that burned on January 1, 2024
😅thanks for the long oil train, very nice sound.greetz:🍐Peer.😅
Thank you too!
Wow 👌 👏 👌 nice 2 tanker train don't see that every day enjoy 👍 nice and a nice BNSF 👍 😀 👌
Thank you very much!
@@JawTooth your welcome I enjoy watching the trains
Wonderful railway video!!
Thank you very much!
Awesome video but wait there’s more 👍😎🇺🇸🚂
You got that right!
Would be a good place to build a railfanning platform.
Thanks for watching!
Fantastic video JT. Love the clickity clack of the trains going over the diamond and what a great mixed bag of locos CSX, BNSF, UP & CN. Shame about the old station house, did the RR company just want it gone so they didn't have to pay for maintenance or some other reason? ie like a new maintenance building. Liked the last shots of the double stacked train into the sunset, your getting all Hollywood cinematographer on us.
Thank you very much!
Great video JT
Awesome video and it's ashame for that train depot JT!!
Thanks for watching Jeff!
@@JawTooth You're welcome!!
Quite the bump at 1:52 ish
Great stuff Jaw Tooth👌
thanks for watching !
Cool place !!!!! Good Video !!!!! ))))) Thanks to the people of the USA for supporting Ukraine !!!!
Our pleasure!
Deshler Iowa? Missouri? With the home road CSX power outnumbered six to one only the depot and tower gave away the location. A shame to lose the depot as it was a great backdrop. The way the tank train's engines and cars bounced up and thru the diamond .might be indicative of a future derailment that would have taken out the depot anyways. Today is National Beer lovers day so uncork
one and watch a JT video
Ohio
It's good to see that intermodal merchandise finally leaving the backed-up ports and into the stores! How much is expired by now though? And the sun sets on another day...
Thanks for watching!
I've been watching the Virtual Railfan site for the railroads around the world
and I've been watching Deshler among others and in one way the old station
was a good sight but I must admit you have a better view of the track passing
by the police station onward and I'm from Oklahoma and I view the Oklahoma City
site and the Texas ones also and I like looking at the one in Le Grange, KY.
seeing whose vehicle gets binged by the crossing guard or doesn't get off the track,
Great videos and Thanks.
Thanks for watching!
I have been watching the Dreshler, Ohio trains on the Virtual Rail Fan Channel for a couple years. Gonna seem really strange not seeing the old station.

Someone must need that oil in a hurry!
Hope they can find a place for those old structures.
I moved a smaller one to a city park in Duluth Georgia back in the 80’s. Still there and being used for community functions.
I saw that Tiespiker video of a derailment the other day. Guy has pretty good content.
