That tanker train shot in the snow and off into the distance is awesome! Thank you for that :) That local at the end had some nice power in the lashup :)
I suspect its because NS might be short engines and all 3rd party engines in use so they ahve to use foreign power to supplement when no engines are available, usually on intermodels you see it a lot.
@@sora6748 You are right about that. In the Harrisburg area there are two intermodel yards one at Harrisburg and one at Rutherford. I got 5 units the other day in 2 hours. It has been busy in this area lately. Plus quite a bit of other freight also.
It's usually a covered hopper at each end. As for why they had moved the other buffer to the front with the power, couldn't tell you, they aren't supposed to.
I sure do appreciate your dedication Jawtooth. That little town does have a certain charm to it. Absolutely fantastic video. I love winter snow trains especially when sitting here enjoying hot coffee!
Really admire your dedication to us railfans JT, rain, shine, or in this case snow. Some pretty impressive trains rolling through the snow. Thanks for all your efforts JT.👍🏼
I have to admire your dedication to go out in that kind of weather to keep the videos going. The thing about some states restricting scanner use to certain categories of users is interesting but I would have thought was not needed these days. Here in Victoria Australia the police are using the P25 digital system with some fairly heavy duty encryption. So please keep warm in between trains and have fun.
Good morning Jaw Tooth! I saw the little Dupps switcher toot-tootin' around the neighborhood last week! Not a fan of driving in the snow myself. Be safe
I love the snow trains it coming down pretty good you find such pretty towns to film I love to watch your videos I’ve learn so much about trains and thank you JT❤
I like the rolling pipe-trains. Glendale, nice this little town and nice location. You have snow. We in Berlin have no snow. At Monday we have 2 Grad celsius. It´s to warm for snow. Greetings from Berlin/ Germany. Sven
Thats cool, I like the snow trains, gives it a totally different atmosphere, and the sound is different !! 👍 Lots of UP power in this video... Love it !! Nice little towns, so quiet 👍 Super Awesome Video !! 👍👏👍
Jaw Tooth in the Snow! Thank you for getting out there. Still have not heard how duck is doing? How's duck? Weather is my hobby...trust this one, some single digit temps coming in February. Duck pond will ice over again. Hard for snow to disrupt rail traffic.
Poor duck is gone. The pond froze over and I tried to catch the duck to bring her inside but I couldn't get near her. I fell on the ice 4 times and gave up. She wouldn't go into the barrels and things that I put out there with food in it. After the pond froze over she had nowhere to hide. I miss that poor duck. I tried to get her in the 8 below zero blizzard but she was afraid of ppl
@Jaw Tooth The thumbs up is only to thank you for your reply. Glad you are OK. Sorry about the duck. Guess especially domestic ducks are short on common sense.
Thanks for your sterling efforts on this one. Nasty snowy day to be out videoing trains! Looks nice when it's first fallen but it even looks cold on film. That defect detector needs looking at. I watched it twice and there are two six axle locos and 100 grain cars. Adds up to 112 axles in my book! Couldn't see anything missing on the train so I guess the detector doesn't detect its own faults. Those videos were well worth the time you spent getting cold filming so keep up the good work for us to enjoy watching.
If it has 100 cars and 2 6-axle locomotives, it has only 112 axles? Um that would be 2 locomotives and 25 cars there is 4 axles per car. It's 412 axles, the detector missed one axle.
@@cp368productions2 that's right! Somehow I got two ones instead of 41! Looked carefully at the video and all the cars had 4 axles and none were missing so the detector must have missed one. Almost all American cars have 4 axles so it's clear there's a miscount. If it had been a British train there could have been a 3 axle milk tank in the mix, though there aren't many like that these days!
I'm late today I went 100 north of my home to a job site had 3 inches of snow up there finished up and went home,we had rain at my end of New England and it started snowing here about two hours ago put the plow on and backed the GMC in I am ready great snowy video jaw tooth glad to see that you're on the job
Awesome the trains in the snow awesome video Jaw Tooth beautiful country too and enjoying watching too and enjoy the side show too AWESOME trains in the snow 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😃😎❤️ and looks cold out there too AWESOME VIDEO JT
That New England Cod Reuben at the Cock&Bull sure looks good, love they have tots there too - and hard to beat that view! Thanks for the vid sir, stay warm.
Great video JT!! I like Glendale a lot. One of my favorite place to watch you video. The cold had to been a bit rough that day. Thanks for all you do to bring the trains to us!!
Beautiful trains in the snow! Beautiful location too! Been wishing for some snow down here but it keeps missing us! Awesome video Jawtooth! Thanks for sharing!

ChainsawN&W1218, great job getting out there filming freights in the snow and pretty scenery, like seeing the snow on the plow/pilot of the lead engine and trains!👍🇺🇲🛤🚂
That was pretty good you brought out the the the radar and I said he was running about 25 miles an hour and you said 23 I said that's good that's cuz I watch a lot of trains thanks Brian another great video
This snowscape is beautiful... especially when you watch it from the warmth of your screen!
Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays JT from the swift completion of his appointed rounds. Thank you sir for roughing the elements.
If they don't railfan in all weather, are they really a railfan?
The man is a Legend!!
I may not be worthy to view his work!!

Thanks for going out in the snow to bring us some awesome snow trains JT. You really know where to find them. Thanks again. 😇👍
Yeah thats good footage ..
The snow made for some beautiful scenery.
Great shots in the snow ,We in the UK do-not get a lot of snow , stay safe ,stay warm ,best-wishes from uk rail-fans

NS sure seems to be using a LOT of UP power lately. It's always nice to see trains running in snow.
Yes i noticed that myself.I see quite a few of them on the Harrisburg to Reading Pa. Line

Over in Texas it’s only Union Pacific and nFS
thanks for watching !
Let Uncle Pete take over Eastern railroads like they did in the West.
Trains + snow = cool
I enjoy seeing the trains in the snow. My favorite was that CSX local. Stay warm! Great video!
Good morning JT; What a great video ; trains in the snow, you can’t get much better than that. Thanks!
Love your foul-weather dedication and the snow-train. Always thought there was a boxcar at the end of a tanker train. Thank You JT!
Thank you very much!

@@cp368productions2 That's what the inspector told me.
They are supposed to have a box car upfront between the engines and the tanker. Federal regulations. What i heard from an engineer anyway
@@markwalker1144 any type of car loaded with sand. Usually it's a covered hopper. I have only seen a boxcar used as a buffer once.

Great sounding EMD's on the last train! Thanks JT.
