I think Marvel has a grand plan on which characters will appear in their movies/shows. Almost all have shown up already... So they must have told video game creators to feature them.

@@Larez121 Dr Strange was definitely one of those characters. Marvel was very specific with what Capcom could do with him, to the point where they were controlling what hand movements the character was allowed to do.
