Robbie Reyes and Johnny Blaze should both be playable, one being an alternate skin to the other. If that’s not possible though, it be cool to give Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider a chance in the spotlight as the playable Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze still being in the game but as a extra in the stage background.

Even when you try to find that balance of legacy characters and newcomers. Plus people have been praising this as much as we've been criticizing it because let's be real, people would be okay with another MvC game where most of the roster is either X-Men or Street Fighter. Those two DID rule the 90s and the people who are trying to bring back MvC were there in the 90s and have been missing a lot of that charm since MvC3 understandably.
@@Chido_Agent Sadly, I wasn't there when this stream happened........but I'd secretly wish I was lmao No offense, but I NEVER liked Wright's series (I do like the character design, though. Franciska Von Karma is 100% lit)
I love that Phoenix Wright gets in basically because he represents the non-meta of MvC where the character is just fun to watch people play or watch him do his thing. He won't win many, if any tournaments, but we're all happy having him in there.
As an Ace Attorney fan as well as a FGC fan, seeing that Phoenix was playable in the most iconic crossover series in the FGC made my life. Got me into watching Lythero and iHeartJustice initially for PW tutorials and gameplay until sticking around bc the content was too fire.
Phoenix embodies the spirit of "fuck it, who cares" when choosing your character, and that's gotta be there, you can't be fully serious with your roster.
I thought the same thing, Howard the Duck would be the perfect weird pick. And we've done almost a lot of big bads from Marvel as boss characters like Apocalypse, Onslaught, Ultron Sigma, Ultron Omega, and Thanos. If I were to recommend a new Boss character from Marvel, I would suggest Knull from the Thor comics (Look him up, he has a sick design..)
The fact that The Punisher has never been in a Marvel vs Capcom game considering how important he is to the Marvel vs Capcom series is a FUCKING CRIME The Punisher's beat em up game was literally the first project Marvel and Capcom created together and it ended up being a success, slowing spawning the MvC games. There is a FUCKING REASON why Capcom put the Punisher game in the Marvel vs Capcom fighting game collection The Punisher needs to a priority in the next Marvel vs Capcom game or I will be disappointed That's the end of my little rant. Fun video as always Max
Punisher is not an interplanetary type superhero who fights aliens and super beings. He fights mafia bsses and ultra financially powerful guys like Kingpin.
Problem is he's just regular gun man, and many other characters fill that niche. He was in consideration for MvC3, but he didn't go further for that reason.
Huh with that roster with being so predominantly X-Men, if I didn’t know any better, I would think what Max wants is not Marvel VS Capcom, but X-Men VS Capcom.
But X-Men always has been a very important part of MvC's identity. Infinite being too focused on MCU characters is one of the reasons why people didn't like it as much.
@@fapuloes Except that MvC evolved past X-Men and Street Fighters with MvC3 plus X-Men ruled the 90s with SF so it makes sense to push those two more at the time but we're not in the 90s anymore and both Marvel and Capcom gave us several cool characters that were neither an mutant or a street fighter. Even with the latest success, let's not get crazy and that's saying something given MvC1.
@@fapuloesthat's cus infinite was based on the movies. X-Men are cool, but we gotta be more unique with the marvel AND Capcom characters, i fucking LOVED iron fist on umvc3 and so did Justin Wong.
@fapuloes X-Men have only been MOST of the Marvel roster in X-Men vs Street Fighter (hence the name) & MvC2. MSH vs SF & MvC1 had 2-3 playable X-Men reps in the games & MvC 3 had the perfect balance. Infinite was poorly liked because it was heavy MCU influenced which effected the music (which the MCU wasn't known for) & was at a time people were getting exhausted of the MCU putting synergy into everything Marvel made beyond the movies.
I think the point is that they aren’t deep cuts as in…we know those characters because of previous MvC games at the very least. In terms of fringe Marvel, I think things like Squirrel Girl, Elsa Bloodstone, and Mephisto.
@@megamandrn001 Not really. MvC's roster is a very delicate balance for me. Unlike something like Street Fighter or Guilty Gear where literally ANYONE can be included, I personally believe MvC needs a certain balance achieved, at least in terms of flavor. You can add as many Chris Redfields or Haggars as you want, but you also need to even it out with characters like Amaterasu, Jedah, or even ones like Sigma or Nemesis. The reason why is simply, we need characters that provide that air where both sides feel equal in terms of power. Marvel's side will always have the heavy hitters like Magneto, Hulk, or even literal gods like Dormammu and Shuma Gorath. What we also need is characters that can match their power, or can still make sense flavor wise, alongside the ones everyone likes. THAT'S why people want characters like Gill and Asura. Sigma and Jedah felt PERFECT for MvCI because they were characters that felt like they could stand amongst the giants of Marvel. I don't even play a lot of those characters but I do feel like those types of characters are important for such a colorful series as this.
@@paperluigi6132Hmm well I do remember one stream moment where Funcle Kenny got Ripley one of those tiny Pac-Man Arcade 1Ups. Ripley looked like she was really into it. Max sounded disappointed and didnt want her to become a Pac-Man main.
The way the Lord intended, it's easy to forget people were actually pretty upset with the mvc3 roster back in the day because of the lack of X-Men compared to previous titles in a lot of the cast were very new plus no Venom or Mega Man
This makes me wonder what would happen if two people worked on one of these "build the roster" sheets -- one Capcom nerd, one Marvel geek -- and see what would happen when you meshed their ideas together in this format.
I don't think we can trust Marvel and Disney for Asura to be in MVC after the Star Wars sequels, She-Hulk, the Marvels, and every recent failures they produce nowadays.
A rule of thumb for making a MVC roster should be that the maximum amount of representatives one franchise can have is 5, if both players can choose all their character from the same franchise and non is the same I think you did something wrong.
I always thought this franchise could be a really great space to reimagine Street Fighter characters. Blanka with projectile electricity. Juggernaut-size Zangief. Super armor Balrog. Stuff that would be impossible in the mainline games.
I always wished Blanka was in MVC2 over someone like Guile since Charlie already exists, Hulk even has an ending in MSHvsSF with him interacting with Blanka and its wholesome, check it when you can. We should also get Max to “rate the endings” from every game.
Let's be honest with ourselves. I don't think that a casual audience would want a "retooled" version of Ryu. That's a very bad idea I'm not going to hold you. I think we should just leave all the characters alone and leave the retooling for their main series
@@daymonharris8696 You write like a malfunctioning AI and what you're saying makes no sense. They already retooled Ryu, you dunce. Geez! I sure do love Ryu's air fireball in the main series games.
Doc Ock is a character Capcom developed for MVC3, but was cut at the last minute (along with Frank West, but at least Frank was able to get into Ultimate MVC3 later). People even found on the game's data the doc ock char icon from the character select screen
Jon Talbain feels like an "always a bridesmaid, never a bride" type character. He's gotta be in. I'd also like Gill for the sole reason that he was cut from MvCI.
I would put Demitri over Ken for a shoto character, in fact. The problem is Vampire characters have very little representation apart of Morrigan and the occasional Anakaris, people is not very used to see spooky anime characters but they are so cool. Also I feel Jedah should be in, he is a very striking figure.
The weird thing is, he IS in the background in MvC3 in the Shadowlands NY stage. Capcom literally wanted him in but Marvel insisted on MODOK. Because there is one guy in Marvel's lincensing who really likes that dumb little thing. It happened in MCP as well. AMG wanted their first wave to have Hulk vs Abomination, but they said "nope. MODOK." It's weird that he hasn't been modded in yet to the best of my knowledge. His model is RIGHT THERE.
If anything, seeing Max's list (and Thorgi's list from his Make a Roster video, which Max looked at in the stream VOD) really makes me want to see a MvC4 roster from the perspective of a Marvel Comics-head. I believe that the classic verus games where developed by Capcom people who knew some deep pulls which we never even heard about back in the day (we weren't reading the comics 😅), and I wonder if the Capcom of today, who could be making a MvC4, would be able to recreate that magic Can't wait to be there to see though
I can contribute! I'm a big comics fan, and while I do better at Capcom character recognizability than most normies would, I still struggled putting my Capcom side together (it also unfortunately has a ton of SF characters) My picks for Marvel started out the same; about half? three quarters? of mine matches Max's. The differences are that I put in Invisible Woman, Rocket/Groot, Spiral, X-23 (main roster), Angela, Moon Knight, Ghost Rider, Emma Frost, and Ms Marvel.
That's easy, since just like Max did, half of the roster are X-Men characters, the real question lies in how many will the Disney executives allow since there is no way the game is shipping without Rocket Raccoon, Avengers like Scarlet Witch, Black Panther or Captain Marvel...
Max siding with more X-Men and Street Fighter characters isn't surprising given his history with the franchise and how the earlier entries were more focused on those two franchises. My guess is MVC4's roster would likely be shaped like UMVC3, a balance between X-Men, Avengers, and villains on the Marvel side and a wide mix of franchises for Capcom. As much as people like the X-Men, it's not the 90s anymore where the Avengers and other Marvel properties didn't have any popular media adaptations like the X-Men did and where we could just recycle Street Fighter Alpha sprites 20 times.
@danielcraig9666 Are they? I mean, they're still big, but they're hardly on top of the world. The Avengers may not rule pop culture anymore, but their reign was far more recent, and there are more people around today who see them as the faces of Marvel over the mutants.
@@pop000690 I don't think X-Men will go beyond Wolverine, Magneto, Storm, either Cyclops or Gambit and Scarlet Witch due to legal issues involving Insomniac, where the last one counts as a mutant, while Deadpool doesn't... And that's without considering Disney's priorities at the time, maybe they'll want more Fantastic 4 chars this time around, like The Thing and there's no way Rocket, Captain Marvel, Black Panther and Shang-Chi will be passed-off!
@@michaelriverside1139Ain't nobody in the mainstream know Shang-Chi from anything other than bargain stores being flooded with figures from the flop movie.
He did Nemesis so dirty cutting him, especially with how cool he is in Infinite. Why would you give us Ada but remove Nemmy?! Makes me think they havent even tackled Nemmy in the Beyond Mod LOL
The answer is Max loves Wesker too much, and he's the resi villain spot for him, tho as much as I love him too, I would pick nemesis, he's kinda too big to ignore (literally lol)
No offense Max but that roster is kind of mediocre. Replace Sentinel with Apocalypse and cut down some of the X-Men reps for some new blood like say Ms. Marvel and Viv Vision for starters. Same deal with Capcom, too much Street Fighter. I'm gonna say the same thing I said during MvC3's hype: People who make rosters like this don't seem to really want more Marvel vs Capcom as much they just want more X-Men vs Street Fighter.
Yeah and too many characters from one single franchise. Like if we're gonna put MegaMan characters either go for tronn bonne and zero or something more interesting, like Volnutt and gba zero or exe MegaMan. But more than two or 3 characters per series is too much even for street fighter.
Eh I like Viv but I don’t think she has that level of fame yet to be part of the roster. Ms Marvel though even before her McU debut now that’s a different story.
MAJOR RESPECT for adding Jubilee. Makes no sense why a character with the power to charge and detonate atoms like Gambit can but with the force of nukes, and can do it even from a distance hasn't been playable. And that's just in her regular form. If they went with her depowered Wondra form, now she has a power suit that gives super strength, flight, temp invulnerability. And if we go with her Vampire form, super strength, speed, turning into mist, etc. If we go with her more matured regular form that we have currently in the comics, you can add a oversized full grown adopted Dragon to the lineup. A character with all that and one seriously amazing backstory including saving Wolverine from dying, should definitely be playable.
exactly, idk why nobody thinks about this, it was the perfect way to have all those characters movesets represented without taking up all the work of having to model each of them out completely and they are all similar enough that it doesn't feel weird
Me who knows the recent failures that Disney and the MCU produce: Yeah no. I don't think it is a good idea for a new MVC game after how the Marvel and Disney movies fumbled.

@@H1_R3Z : I sadly agree with you, though personally I'd pick Amingo to come back. A lot of things about him give off the kind of "light(er)-hearted fun" tone that a Phoenix Wright-type character can give, and I feel his moveset has enough variety to be interesting, but with the color pallets and style the VS games have taken lately I think it would be too much tonal dissonance.
Trust me, absolutely nobody's roster will ever be 100% perfect when it comes to Marvel vs Capcom, as there is just simply way too many characters from both sides to choose from.
I want The Arisen. Give them the hybrid vocations and make them a summoner who commands the Pawns. Have the Pawns be the different basic vocations. Then you get this character who can set up and mix you with various combinations of weapon types and summons.
How about Knull (god of symbiotes) or Kang? These characters either have been team-up potential or have a relationship with multiversal/time travel. From the Capcom side, how about demon god Mundus?
Pretty good list, but you can tell Max doesn't know much about Marvel outside of adaptations like the movies and previous MVC games. Also, there's no way the Marvel side won't have Rocket Racoon, Captian, and Ms. Marvel. As for the Capcom side? Max, they are literally remaking Dead Rising 1as we speak; people love Frank West.
Green Goblin, please...how have we not gotten more proper Spidey villains in this series except Venom? Doctor Octopus, Mysterio, Electro, the list goes on.
I think a good idea is that every marvel character should have a capcom equivalent. Not necessarily clones, but thematic similarities. Trailers revealing both of them at once could be fun.
For the Marvel vs Capcom 4 roster, I would take a page from Professor Thorgi. Split the 60 characters down the middle, 30 for Marvel and 30 for Capcom. Then split those in half for 15 returning characters and 15 new characters. It would not be easy to decide who stays and who goes. But the challenge would make some fascinating rosters.
Personal pick of mine that should be in is Scarlet Witch. She’s incredibly popular right now. She’s an X-Men villain, Avengers hero, and a brand new female fighter, and probably has an install super 🌝
You know, Max says “no Inhumans“, but I’d personally swap out one of the X-Men vets for Crystal. Not just because it means getting one more Marvel team some representation, but because it fulfills the weirdo quotient he was talking about, plus I just like the idea of mixing people up using my giant teleporting dog striker.
Yep it most definitely is. Look I know people adore their 90s nostalgia and the mutants are on an upswing thanks to X-Men 97 and Deadpool & Wolverine. I love the X-Men as much as the next person with X-Men VS Street Fighter as the one I’m most excited for in the collection, but gosh darn it they do not take up all of Marvel. And yes MVCI massively screwed up with the X-Men exclusion because of copyright nonsense but that does not mean the next MvC has to be the inverse of it as some divine retribution.
@@myriadmediamusings I agree. Marvel vs Capcom should be that and IMHO, we shouldn't have a good chunk of the roster be dedicated to the 90s crowd who were too into mutants and SF. It's probably why I favor MvC3's roster over MvC2's and Infinite's.

There were so many deep cuts in MvC3. Dormammu, S-Skrull, Modok, Taskmaster, Sentinel, Shuma, Iron Fist, Nova, Rocket. You could make a case for She-Hulk, Hawkeye, Strange and GR too. MvC:I was almost the near opposite of that.
I think Harp Note from Mega Man Starforce would honestly be a solid pick for a Mega Man rep. Japan had a surprisingly big push for her during MvC3, and even without Starforce getting a game in so long, she still got into the top 10 of the most popular Capcom Females for Japan in the recent poll. Of all the Roll-adjacent characters the series has had, she's definitely the most standout. Starforce is also in that ripe era of the perfect time people start getting nostalgic for it, which even Capcom seems to be leaning into a bit with merch lately. She'd also iust have really fun moveset potential. It's hard to justify her over a large chunk of the overall Mega Man series, but I still think she'd just make a solid "fan" pick. Why no, my avatar does NOT show an innate bias, whatever do you mean, you're craaaazy.
I'd love to get Harp Note in a game, but even if I have to be objective and pick someone else, I still think it's time for the RPG side of Megaman to get a representative in a crossover. I made this observation when I was younger and it still holds up: Fanmade MvC rosters NEVER have an objectively good balance of character picks. (mind-blowing, i know) While it's all very subjective in the end, it's blatant when the fanmade roster was put together by either a Capcom/Fighting game fan or a genuine comic book fan.
A Capcom side either has beloved classic characters from throughout Capcom's history; or has picks exclusively limited to modern mainstream titles that are only popular today. A Marvel side either has timeless iconic heroes and quintessential villains with unique powers each; or it has Miles on it.
@@nightwish1453agreed. It's not that miles is not unique but he is in the same category as a shoto, like Ryu and Ken. Both have similar backbone but with some differences. To me you either pick the 3 Spidey, Miles and Venom and leave out Carnage or swap him with Venom or Miles.
True, Max even acknowledges that after he finished it, you can tell that it's a roster made by a Capcom fan with only surface level knowledge of Marvel. The actual devs would probably be able to make a rather balanced list. Fun to see what people come up with, though.
Making a Marvel roster without the Fantastic Four is like making a Capcom roster without any Mega Man, but all you kids won't understand that 'til next year.
Bruh Megaman is like not having spiderman, no, fantastic four is like not having phoenix Wright, a clear side of said company that many people love but isn't thought about enough by the wider populace. I suppose that could change with them coming back, but before that people haven't known them for a while (mostly due to lack of movies)
The F4 absolutely need to be in the next MvC game, either with all 4 members having their own slots, or have a 4-in-1 fighter where like Reed or The Thing are the lead, and the other 3 members can get called in for assists (like how Ginyu works in DBFZ). They're way too important to Marvel Comics, plus if the next game is called MvC4, it's the perfect time to finally add them.
I hope in the next game (crazy to believe that it could happen) they do something similar to Smash Ultimate’s echo fighters. Then, Spider-Man could be either Peter or Miles, and some more characters can make the cut.
Desperately need Jon Talbain in new content. The fact that he's consistently been top 3 or 4 Darkstalkers and never gets into anything is insane. It's honestly criminal that the only Spider-Man villain we've ever got in a versus game was Venom (and even then he's been more of an anti-hero longer than he's been a villain).
Dormammu and Shuma Gorath are not to be excluded or underestimated when MVC4 comes.

Imagine a Sentinel-sized Hugo…
I always wished Blanka was in MVC2 over someone like Guile since Charlie already exists, Hulk even has an ending in MSHvsSF with him interacting with Blanka and its wholesome, check it when you can. We should also get Max to “rate the endings” from every game.
Don't think we wanna get another Abigail on our hands.
Let's be honest with ourselves. I don't think that a casual audience would want a "retooled" version of Ryu. That's a very bad idea I'm not going to hold you. I think we should just leave all the characters alone and leave the retooling for their main series

I cannot argue with your logic dude. Its perfectly said
We also need Edward Falcon in the game for some Power Stone rep. Power Stone has been shafted by Capcom for too dang long.
I would put Demitri over Ken for a shoto character, in fact. The problem is Vampire characters have very little representation apart of Morrigan and the occasional Anakaris, people is not very used to see spooky anime characters but they are so cool. Also I feel Jedah should be in, he is a very striking figure.
Gill is an interesting choice, we’ve never had a SF3 character in a MVC unless you count Alex in TVC.
Agreed. I would chop Bison for Gill. His cheap boss level moveset from Sf3 and illuminati god style swagger is story and voice call is all in.
Daredevil needs to be in a Marvel vs Capcom game. How hasn't it happened yet
Hell yes!
To be fair, he had an entire stage dedicated to him in MVC3 so he isn’t at least forgotten completely like some such as Leon S. Kennedy or The Sentry.
Nightcrawler too
The weird thing is, he IS in the background in MvC3 in the Shadowlands NY stage. Capcom literally wanted him in but Marvel insisted on MODOK. Because there is one guy in Marvel's lincensing who really likes that dumb little thing. It happened in MCP as well. AMG wanted their first wave to have Hulk vs Abomination, but they said "nope. MODOK."
It's weird that he hasn't been modded in yet to the best of my knowledge. His model is RIGHT THERE.
The same goes for Kingpin
"Vergil will always be DLC" he says as he makes Vergil base roster
If anything, seeing Max's list (and Thorgi's list from his Make a Roster video, which Max looked at in the stream VOD) really makes me want to see a MvC4 roster from the perspective of a Marvel Comics-head.
I believe that the classic verus games where developed by Capcom people who knew some deep pulls which we never even heard about back in the day (we weren't reading the comics 😅), and I wonder if the Capcom of today, who could be making a MvC4, would be able to recreate that magic
Can't wait to be there to see though
I can contribute! I'm a big comics fan, and while I do better at Capcom character recognizability than most normies would, I still struggled putting my Capcom side together (it also unfortunately has a ton of SF characters)
My picks for Marvel started out the same; about half? three quarters? of mine matches Max's.
Outside of Spider-Man, the X-Men are still the most popular Marvel Franchise even today despite the MCU.
@danielcraig9666 Are they? I mean, they're still big, but they're hardly on top of the world. The Avengers may not rule pop culture anymore, but their reign was far more recent, and there are more people around today who see them as the faces of Marvel over the mutants.

The Marvel vs Capcom 4 name bothers me. Like I know people want to forget Infinite, but it's still an entry in the series and using the 4 number seems almost spiteful against Infinite.
I can also bet most people use 4 because Thorgi's Arcade did it first
I know that the MvC original characters, like Ruby Heart and Amingo, are most definitely not coming back for base roster, but I would hope that at least one of them does make it in as dlc (probably Ruby, but my personal bias pick would be Sonson).

Fuck yeah, this roster is so nostalgia based and uninspired.

I actually think this would have been a great way to tackle making the roster
Personal pick of mine that should be in is Scarlet Witch. She’s incredibly popular right now. She’s an X-Men villain, Avengers hero, and a brand new female fighter, and probably has an install super 🌝
You know, Max says “no Inhumans“, but I’d personally swap out one of the X-Men vets for Crystal. Not just because it means getting one more Marvel team some representation, but because it fulfills the weirdo quotient he was talking about, plus I just like the idea of mixing people up using my giant teleporting dog striker.
Would rather have Medusa, personally.
I'm gonna guess that the Marvel side is gonna be 85% X-Men and almost next-to-no Avengers.
@@dnmstarsiUMVC3 I agree is the best overall roster that gives a pretty good encapsulation of Marvel’s and Capcom’s respective histories. The rosters of the 90s games were good for their time but now in the 2020s with both companies having so much under them now, it’s gonna be so damn difficult making a roster that’s gonna try to balance things.
@@myriadmediamusings Exactly this, the Marvel side of the roster has to be balanced and include some underrated characters too, that's what makes the UMVC3 roster so great, you get the popular characters from the most important sides of Marvel (Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Spider-Man related characters) and then you also get Nova, Taskmaster, Iron Fist, Shuma Gorath, She-Hulk, Rocket Raccoon, etc
@@omegazer0800I think Marvel Rivals does a pretty good job at balancing representations with popular and odball characters. Something like that would be great in a new MVC

I don't think "hasn't been in one for a long time" is a good qualification, as, in an ideal scenario, most people playing a new MvC game will have never played one before.
I agree. If anything I think that makes them a good DLC pick, but maybe not base roster.

It definitely is. While it's definitely all about the faces, you can definitely argue that sometimes that's all you need especially when we would likely love these choices compared to an official one.
How on earth did you put in so many Street Fighter characters but forget Rashid, the SF character who most seems like he belongs in MvC??
@@Zevox87 Because it was mainly a personal roster. Part what people would want to see and part what would work nowadays and unfortunately, Rashid kinda missed the boat on Capcom's part.

You mean Gill.

TKO podcast brings back in Thorgi and you guys guys just conceptualize a mega MVC roster.
MegaMan.EXE would work, or if we assume that we're getting classic Mega Man and don't want two blue buster guys, Bass.EXE to represent the edgy rival side. (with Zero being the representative for the red "Protoman" type).
@@emperormegaman3856 EXE 100% has every right to get in and SHOULD be in, but if it's a case of "too many Mega men" so that they need to pick a side character, I just feel Harp Note is the pick.

Since they made Phoenix Wright (and should still include them) with a novel strategy to gameplan, it'd be cool if they added a rhythm element to her.

I think X Men vs Street Fighter 2 should be the first game of the revival. Between X Men 97 and SF6's popularity it would be all killer no filler. Use assets from SF6. Make Spider Man DLC to get a taste of the expanded Marvel Universe and get everyone hyped for Marvel 4 in the future.
💯 agree I’d actually prefer that game tbh. X-men is by far my favorite way ahead of any other marvel property & I only care about SF & nothing else capcom related. Even though there’s a few on here complaining I think many think like me those two franchises started the crossovers!!
Im definitely all for this. Less roster controversies, less restrictions, and more opportunities for both to be represented with all their eras.
@@myriadmediamusings There's one restriction: Nobody but Sony can make X-Men-specific games until 2035. Likewise, while you *CAN* include X-Men characters in Marvel-wide games, they can't make up the majority of said roster.

Fanmade MvC rosters NEVER have an objectively good balance of character picks. (mind-blowing, i know)
While it's all very subjective in the end, it's blatant when the fanmade roster was put together by either a Capcom/Fighting game fan or a genuine comic book fan.
A Capcom side either has beloved classic characters from throughout Capcom's history; or has picks exclusively limited to modern mainstream titles that are only popular today.
A Marvel side either has timeless iconic heroes and quintessential villains with unique powers each; or it has Miles on it.

What do you mean? Dr. Doom isn't enough Fantastic Four representation for you?
At least Human Torch made it in as DLC.
I hope in the next game (crazy to believe that it could happen) they do something similar to Smash Ultimate’s echo fighters. Then, Spider-Man could be either Peter or Miles, and some more characters can make the cut.
