I also have the Himiway Zebra and I am from the UK. Personally, I have noticed the throttle barely does anything at all. You have to be stood still and it will nudge you forward for about a second and that's it.
Unfortunately, I have noticed that the battery doesn't last even close to 60 to 80 miles on a single charge like advertised. I contacted Himiway about this and apparently you have to weigh no more than 60kg, have zero resistance, a flat surface and use the lowest pedal assist setting for this statement of 60 miles to be true. I always use the highest setting because the bike is heavy and won't move without it.
Another issue I have found, is that when you reach 25mph, the motor doesn't just cut off as per regulation (which wouldn't be a problem), but it ACTIVELY slows you down! It's as if it's back pedalling or applying the brakes. It's so annoying.
The final gripe in this rant that I have, is that not only do you have to be pedalling for the motor to kick in, but the delay is VERY noticeable. If I'm at the traffic lights and cars are behind me, it's pretty tense when the motor takes a good 3 to 4 seconds to kick in after pedalling.
It's so irritating to see these ads from the US portraying these Himiway bikes having far more capabilities than my own. The UK law may as well require you to get off and push it down the road at this point.

If you remove the limiter the throttle can push you as much as the pedals.

If your on zebra you need to change the remote control and upgrade your motor to 750w I ordered on himiway zebra usa, you can’t find in uk store.

@@christopherbabcock7928 In the U.S. at least, all e-bikes are restricted to a top speed of 20 miles per hour while on throttle control, or 28 while under "pedal assist" (when the motor multiplies the pedaler's effort). This bike isn't a scam, it's just complying with regulations.
