I LOVED the Monkees and they were such a big part of my childhood. We would never miss their Tv show and bought their albums. Their music lives on forever and so in some ways they do too in our hearts and soul. Thank you!!
We can see that Mike was more happy, more reflective, more at peace with himself and with life as his health declined. He finally accepted the impact, influence, and legacy of the Monkees, on top of all his other great accomplishments and innovations, and that softened him. He was easy on himself, finally. He realized that he lived a good life. His passing really hit me. I miss him and all of my childhood memories, as he was my favorite Monkee. I feel like part of my life is gone too. But I'm glad his final days of his life were rocking and rolling in such joy and happiness. RIP, thanks for everything and you'll always be with us and watching from above. :)

I can't wait to see Mike and Micky at Rosemont in Chicago on November 5th!! What a wonderful gift to their long time loving fans!!! Davy and Peter will be there in spirit. They spread such joy to millions of people with their songs, humor, and love for their fans. Such a wonderful gift and tribute they are sharing with us! Love you always ,Davy, Peter, Micky and Mike.
I'll be there too!! Did you see them in Genesee in Waukegan? That was a great show. I turned a friend who never heard anything but the theme into a fan. Lol. 😂 I'm in my 30s so I feel like I did something good 👍(in my 20s for that concert)

I am so happy to see that even years later, they are still gaining more fans. My friend and I will be in the pit by the stage, mid second row!!!(a gift from my friend.) If they will let you, stop by to say hello. I met Davy at a book signing. He was so kind and gracious. I love so many of their songs. I know I will cry too over Daydream Believer. So happy to meet a Monkee fan too!
How i wish he had toured in 86 with them. It was incredible for me as a second generation fan to be blessed with seeing them live. This song made me cry but his story made me cry more. Ohh the hard lessons we learn in this life and the rewards of second chances. I dreaded the day we'd start losing them. I wish I could see them live.
@@ellzedd4113 I am seeing more second generation fans. So Wonderful! I was so lucky to have been an almost 11 year old girl when their TV show aired on Monday, Sep.12 1966. I have been in love since! Davy and Mike were my favorites. I still listen to their music to this very day. It never gets old!. I have Mikes songs also to listen to from his band The First National Band. What a voice! Brilliant in his music and lyric writing. This is a must for fans!!!!!
@@corinneraden I saw them live 4x throughoutv86 to 87. Met micky at a publicity tour. I was born in 66 so I thought I'd never see them live. I was so excited when I heard of the reunion tour. They were really great live too.

Mike and Peter seemed to have rivalry of sorts. Both were musicians from the start. I don't think " Nez" liked competition.
