I love watching interviews with Mike Nesmith because he is so sweet, funny, and down-to-earth. The only thing I didn’t like from this was Greg constantly interrupting Mike with questions. I know they were dealing with time limits and there are so many questions he wanted to get but everytime poor Mike got cut off it felt like Greg wasn’t really listening to what he had to say. At least let Mike finish. Not every question needs to be answered in under ten minutes because Mike was descriptive with his words so 2-3 would have been enough and you’d get so much out of him. I honestly would have loved to listen to him talk all day if I were the host. And asking too many questions I feel can be too overwhelming asking them that quickly and not giving the person a bit of breathing room. Again, limited time, I know. Other than that tangent I loved hearing Mike’s singing voice, always makes me wanna cry. Love you, Nez, Miss you 💚💚
I had seen the Monkees(Micky,Davy and Peter) on the 20th reunion tour in 1986 but had not seen in person my favorite Monkee and true musical hero Michael Nesmith. In 2021 I was fortunate enough to get tickets for the farewell tour the Mike and Micky show at Ructh Eckerd Hall in Clearwater. It was a wonderful experience that I shall always cherish....Mike was very frail at the begining of the tour but he got stronger with each show.By the time they got to me in Florida he was doing much better and put on a marvelous performance along with the amazing Micky Dolenz. My only regret is that mike wasnt quite strong enough to play his iconic Gretsch 12 string...but did stand and sing for the whole show.He was funny, happy, sang very well and interacted with the crowd.Just a month after the tour ended we lost Mike which made my getting to see and hear him perform that much more special and memorable.RIP Papa Nez!!!
We got to see them in Jacksonville at the iconic Florida Theater. It was indeed a wonderful show and I was surprised at how well Mike was doing. Was very grateful to see them. I'll never forget.
Nez was my favorite entertainer EVER! Oh how I will miss him. I loved his music and I'm glad I have his recordings to keep me company for the rest of my journey. ❤
That newspaper ad for the Monkees applications goes back far enough the telephone number was only FIVE digits. Long before seven or ten or any of that stuff. Oh perfect! A guitar on the nearby steps and an old song, well done whenever this was. cheers!
I think everybody in the free world knows that Nez's mother invented Liquid Paper. There's a fortune in them there tiny bottles of white goop. I love Michael Nesmith. So talented, funny, irreverent, and sweet. My favourite Monkee. So handsome back in the day. Even so as he got older.
She didn’t get rich off it until around the same time as the Monkees, which is kind of incredible. Mom and son hit the big time at the same time. It took about ten years for her company to become profitable after she invented it.
I miss Mike. Very underrated as a songwriter.
Mike Nesmith was an outstanding performer.

My favorite song that he wrote and recorded was Joanne. Always brings me to tears when I hear it.
Thanks Michael for the enjoyment you gave to many who followed the journey and got it from the beginning.

How annoying is Greg as a Host but not an actor.
Right. He's done some great acting, which I sure didn't see coming.
Very annoying.
Nice interview, though Mike protests a bit too much about certain things. The interviewer should realise that he isn't the personality here, Mike is.
greg is on drugs
The Monkees really are forgotten
