Made this today Rakesh. To me it tasted like vazhakkai vathakozhambu (if there ever is such a thing). Not that I would complain because vathakozhambu is my favorite.

My mom use to use red chana or peanuts and she use to add turdal too. It use to be yummy goes well with wheat flour parathas. My daughter’s sister in law’s family make with peanut n coconut roasted but no turdal
Another trial from your recipe list. I used normal vaazhakkai instead. It was a hit 😁 Loved the tanginess from tamarind and sweetness from jaggery and thaalipu items are the highlight.. we mixed this with rice and ghee ..it was so good..Thank you

I just got distracted every time with son mum conversation.... 😊before the thala diwali valakai is inside water after the story valakai is completely dry before adding sambar podi haaaaa.... 😆 need to go back to follow the steps again.... 🧐👌👌👌
