Can anna or someone clarify my doubt.. methi when it is cooked gives a slight bitter taste.. also amma says to add 1/3 rd quantity of methi to toor dal quantity.. shld we add jaggery to balance the taste...by the way this masiyal looks so tempting.. i have yellow pumpkin so tomorrow gng to try for sure..

I tried it with Red Pumpkin.. since I had time I soaked the fenugreek overnight, otherwise followed the recipe. Turned out excellent.
