There was nothing like being a kid in the 80s watching Benny Hill. Growing up in Oakland, CA, watching Hill on Saturday nights at 11 on KTVU Channel 2 is one of my enduring childhood memories.
Benny Hill ain't really a kid's show but I would watch this together with my dad. It's just really funny and we're always entertained. But yeah it's not for kids. How could I miss this A Team spoof! Though I never watched A Team and just watched the intro, I'm glad you uploaded this.
What's amazing is that Benny Hill could get away with donning blackface to play Mister T. The only thing that came close in today's times was Robert Downy Jr and even then it was meant to be portrayed as absurd and unthinkable to the point of parody in a comedy movie.
He got away with all the sexual innuendos in most of his comedic sketches. So it's definitely no surprise that he got away with this too. You're right and well said.
