    Nick this Plymouth Wagon is awesome. Great work on this rebuild. Loved the car from the first. Pretty reasonable and should be able to flip easy enough if you wish. Thank you for taking us along! 💯👊👍

    gas shocks adjustable at all 4 wheels would help road handling in that classic 55 Plymouth vehicle and sway bars front or front/rear are an suspension improvement stock OEM...as well as replacement of worn steering gear components..

    • @somewhatfast
      @somewhatfast  ปีที่แล้ว

      Man if you watched the video you would see I replaced all the steering components. And these cars have sway bars from the factory.

    Incredibly COOL car and nice swap too!
    I like the Superbird stickers on the quarter panels - just looks right!
    Yeah, most everything from the '50s feels a bit like a boat on a not quite smooth lake - even with everything new, if someone else is used to a modern car it'll sure get to them!
    Those tie-rod ends - it's what we call "white box" (cheap Chinese) parts.
    When it's a plain white box with just a sticker on it for the brand and the part number it's almost a given the part will be iffy - even by Chinese part standards.

    Taking the clamps off the rear of the leaf spring is a old Mopar trick and works great you can also put a helper spring from a pickup just cut off behind the axle works like a slapper bar

    • @somewhatfast
      @somewhatfast  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I ended up buying chrome slapper bars they were really cheap on ebay $70.

  • @BigElCat
    @BigElCat ปีที่แล้ว

    Still diggin' the Plymouth Nomad. Pretty unique hot rod. Regarding your 14" inch air cleaner. IIRC, the air filter elment from a mid-70's Chevy 350 cid truck will fit your 14" chrome filter base and lid. The element is less expensive, and much taller than the one that came with the aftermarket air cleaner. Tall is good for air flow, because the air going into the carb doesn't have to turn such a tight radius. More surface area on the elment, and it would help fill up that huge engine bay.

    • @somewhatfast
      @somewhatfast  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's good to know was going to stick it on my 74 satellite. Ill have to grab a chevy filter before I do. Thank you

      On this car since I have wheel spacers on front and a ford explorer rear end. The front track width is wider than the rear. So I went ahead and got an $89 alignment!

      I'm trying, time is always an issue. I slap these thing together as fast as I can in between working. I feel like they are getting better little by little. The videos so far are consistently getting 33 percent of people watching until the end which is great. But only 2 percent of people are subscribing. And only 3 percent of the people that watch the videos are subbed. Its like they sub and then forget about the channel. But then again over 80 percent of the viewers are over 55 years. Half of that 80 is over 70!!! So they may not be as tech savvy as these younger guys that know how to click the notifications or remember the channel name. I know it'll get there i can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks for the support as always.
