Thinking it's either the torque converter or fluid starvation. Because the engine and trans are tilted for exhaust clearance.

Be carful cutting tanks open 💥💥💥fuel stay in the seam .
I've had a couple blow up on me was wearing a welding helmet luckily. Best thing to do is hose out 10 times them have it full of water while welding.

I did a disc brake conversion on my ‘58 Chevy. I didn’t run a booster . It’s fine. The disc brakes is what counts.

How do those whitewalls work? They look great!
They aren't too bad from a distance they wrinkle up at the bottom with radial tires though. Not bad for 50 bucks on ebay, make sure to use atlas brand. Tires I ordered online were around 60 bucks a piece. When you compare that to $300 a piece for white wall tires ill deal with the wrinkles!
I had a 77 Monte Carlo with an intermittent trans noise like that. Turned out flexplate was cracked around the bolts mounting it to flywheel...

Hopefully the trans noise will be something minor Nick. You are learning about those BAD vendors out there as there are a bunch of them. With the advertising you have, I would have a lawyer sue for misrepresentation!

Bro after you clean the wheel up with the wire wheel and if you dont want to paint the inside i use to use duck tape and run it up but not around the bead area . they sell a bead seal kind of like uncured rubber that will help seal the bead but will make it kind of tuff when you go to dismount your tires . Good luck with the rest of the car.

I just recently found your channel. Caught up on the wagon's videos, 👍. Have you considered using fuel tank liner on your leaky gas tank?
Problem is the fuel pickup sock isn't accessible. I had to b
Cut the tank open the replace the pickup and sock. When I welded it back together I there are just some very small pinholes. I thought about using jb weld tank weld on them since they are so small.
@@somewhatfast I had a radiator shop for 20 years, gas tanks were another thing we did. The issue on older cars was rust. Once cleaned with acid many had pin holes, those were soldered up, larger holes patched and soldered, then we lined the tanks, rotating to cover the entire inside. JB weld it, if it still leaks you should consider lining it. The liner creates a membrane inside the entire tank. Never had to use more than a quart on any tank. Red Kot or any other brand red formula worked best. The black colored liners were hit or miss. I think a quart is about $50 now.
Them portawall will look horrible they don't lay down properly and when you go down the road they stick out least the ones I tried did hope you have better luck

Watch the videos on the V8 swap I installed an 8.8 ford explorer rear end with disk brakes. Only paid $150 it uses the same lug pattern too so you can keep factory wheels.

Buy the basic kit from AAJ brakes it comes with
Caliper Mounting Brackets
Adapters
Nuts & Bolts
Then buy the calipers rotors and hoses off Amazon rockauto etc. I believe they were late 70s camaro rotors. Go on AAJ and look the basic kit is only $300

If you want over drive and Lock up you need to look for a 46RH also known as a518. Ram started using the 46RE (which is electric, computer controlled) in 1996 when they switched to OBD2. So best donor truck to pick is 1994-1995.
