While I grew to really like 11, initially I hated that it sort of abandoned all that 10 had done. 10 was MY doctor and when I became obsessed with the show. Really hopeful now. Assuming the world doesn't end in 2023 in nuclear annihilation, it will be a great year.
In Series 6 River Song says they need to burn the Doctor’s body because a time lord’s body is valuable. I’d like to think stuff like this is exactly the reason why. I mean just look at all the things that can happen with just a hand.
Great vid! You could have also added the bit in The Time of the Doctor, just after Handles dies when the Dr exlpains to Clara "Well number 10 once regenerated and kept the same face, I had vanity issues at the time"
I made this partially to get the record straight that he absolutely did not regenerate with the same face, because people kept commenting on my Valeyard video that Tennant played both the 11th and 12th incarnations, but as we see in the episode, he used up a regeneration, but didn't use it on himself.
few things I noticed about this, 1. When the Master regenerated he instantly realized where he was, who he was, and what he was going to do. When the Doctor regenerates he gets temporary amnesia and takes a little for him to remember stuff. 2. Now here we are in 2022 and David Tennant will now have played 3 versions of the Doctor 10, technical 11, and now 14. (actually 11, 12, and 15 if you count the war Doctor.)

Hold on there. Just thought if this. How could the TARDIS work with the doctor's hand inside and the doctor outside? When they tried to do that on the Christmas special with River Song, the TARDIS would not work because the King's head was in the TARDIS and the body was outside.
@@FFKonoko The difference is Hydroflax's head and body were considered by the TARDIS to be the same person. Not a severed part, but the same living being.
Makes me think, the David tennant doctor who was such a good doctor who that almost every companion got their own to keep. Rose got human doctor. Donna got one of the doctors that did a biregeneration. Only one that doesn't have a doctor is martha
It still bothers me that our Doctor was mad at the Human Doctor for killing the Daleks. First, it's a more to-the-point version of what the original did minus killing off the Timelords too. Second, the Daleks were litterally made to exterminate all life. It's been proven time and again that they can't be bargained with. The only real option was to wipe them out to save the universe. Again.
The hand scene at the beginning with Jack, was just terrible. Barrowman as awesome as you are you aren't the best actor but my god you are a charming Scot.

I just realised the container that Jack put the hand in is similar to the one we see the Face of Boe in, Prop Design coincidence or Intentional character connection?
Regeneration is from the Timeless Child's DNA and was infused into the Time Lords by Tecteun, and into River Song by Madame Kovarian. Tecteun placed the limit of 12 on it artificially.
HOLD ON. There is a head in a jar next to Capt. Jack's hand! Looks similar to the Face of Boe! (At 1:11 ) Could mean a lot of possible theories!!! Damn I never noticed this. - 1. Could the Face of Boe be a fake alias? That Jack isn't the face of Boe but rather has close connections to them? - 2. Could the head here be from the future? Like an earlier version of the Face of Boe that Jack asks for information on how events transpire? Since The Face of Boe had already lived through it? Maybe the rift allows the paradox to happen? I am unsure if the head here could be something from the extended lore or old Who so I apologise for posting this if that is the case.

Capaldi did a fakeout one too
@@PenneySounds Matt also regenarated back to his young self, just to regenarated again to Capaldi. But for a second Clara thought he is back.
@@alpborakirte801 That was a fakeout, but rather than a fakeout of making us think he was going to regenerate when he doesn't, it made it seem like he'd gotten out of regenerating again, but it was still going to happen
Oh I didn't realise this video was 5 days old until I noticed all the comments were from the last few days.
Nice to see videos like thus still being made.
These vids bring me so much joy
This was so brilliant! Thank you for putting this together!
While I grew to really like 11, initially I hated that it sort of abandoned all that 10 had done. 10 was MY doctor and when I became obsessed with the show. Really hopeful now. Assuming the world doesn't end in 2023 in nuclear annihilation, it will be a great year.
They ended Rose's story in simultaneously the saddest and happiest way
In Series 6 River Song says they need to burn the Doctor’s body because a time lord’s body is valuable. I’d like to think stuff like this is exactly the reason why. I mean just look at all the things that can happen with just a hand.
Don't forget, she knew that was actually the Teselecta, not the Doctor's body
@@PenneySounds True, I often forget because I dislike that finale lol
15:34 This connects well with 12's arc in season 9.
Not to mention "the doctor-donna" from Fires of Pompei
few things I noticed about this, 1.
I don't buy for a second the idea that he's the 14th Doctor
@@PenneySounds I misread your reply at first, but it's been confirmed he is the 14th doctor
@@ZUnknownFox Ncuti Gatwa is the 14th Doctor. This David Tennant thing will be revealed as an illusion.
@@PenneySounds it's really not. RTD even confirmed it himself 😂😂 but yeah. You just keep believing something that won't happen lol
@@Gorts147 The alternative is that they've really wasted a numbered incarnation on a nostalgic throwback, which would mean the series is officially out of ideas and deserves to be cancelled.
I love how he was just like "And i grew another hand, Hello" as he waved his hand lmao i died of laughter
Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't there an episode where it's mentioned that entire wars would be fought just for a chance to get hold of Time Lord DNA? Yet Jack had a whole hand just lying around half the time? XD
Hoarding alien stuff is what Torchwood does
Well it’s a handy hand! Anyway, it’s been used as a weapon multiple times lmao!
Yes, River says that in The Impossible Astronaut
Well ya know, entire wars could be fought for Jack's immortal DNA too probably xp
If I had to guess, I'd say people probably didn't know who's hand it was
love how a hand from the start of the 10th severed off was a plot point for torchwood, for the series 2 finale, a ton of small remarks about it, and in the series 3 finale it grew into a doctor who destroyed the daleks and stayed with rose. just a hand
It's like the bit in Carry On Screaming where they grow an extra monster out of his finger.
That's was great editing it's Russell t Davis really understood doctor who
Thinking about it - Jack is technically responsible for the Metacrisis Doctor because of him recovering and returning the hand - huh
Makes up for the genocide, aged Doctor and general misery the Master caused thanks to it
"This hand... IS A FIGHTIN' HAND!"
Doctor: *grows hand back.*
Sycorax: "Witchcraft!"
Zoe: "... We live in a spaceship dear."
Shiny
9:07 Rose sounded so disappointed, I think it's because she knows she got to sleep with next doctor in a different universe.
YOUR TELLING ME HIS HAND GETS A HAPPY FUCKING ENDING!? HIS HAND GETS LOVE?!
I just realized that thanks to the 14th Doctor there are now two David Tennants running around the Doctor Who universe now. XD
sometimes I forget how weird the lighting in syndicated TV in the 2000s
RTD, the king of over-the-top deus ex machina endings. But we love him for it anyway.
Donna; * sounding smart *
doctor: donna you can't even change a plug!
Could you make a video on Jack/The Face of Boe? Specifically where he jumps on the TARDIS, causes it to crash at the End of The Universe where they find Professor Yana/The Master, and then cut to The Face of Boe telling The Doctor "You Are Not Alone"
"witchcraft" says the space alien who used blood to hypnotize a bunch of people
River SONG: Two of you, the mind races
Hope they have torchwood come back. It be awesome get the new American crew back with jack
When the Dr Who spin-off's musical score continuity is on point! Did I put the apostrophe in the right place?
One of my favourite Doctors!
I wonder how many would watch Torchwood without watching Doctor Who first and wonder what the big deal about the hand was
I always thought it would be cool if Donna was the Doctors mother.
If his father was exploring and followed a galifreyan energy signature to her and they fall in love. They have a child and the extra energy and intellect she absorbed is transferred into the baby.
It’s a dumb theory but one I used to talk about with my friend. I don’t think it’s true I just thought it’d be fun.
I had a headcanon for a while that in his youth, Wilf may have had a fling with a mysterious woman who, unknown to him, was a Time Lady who'd used a chameleon arch.
No the doctors started existing at some point between November 22nd and November 23rd because it was night in the first ever episode and November 23rd was on a Saturday and we know it was a school night so it's probably late November 22nd early November 3rd cuz it was late as hell but back on topic the doctor started existing at that time and before that it's all conjecture because they're walking paradoxal idiot
@@plantainsame2049 Huh?
@@PenneySounds basically the doctor started existing in the first episode and every other point before that is in flux wibbly wobbly they have five different Origins
fan fiction!
Hold on there. Just thought if this. How could the TARDIS work with the doctor's hand inside and the doctor outside? When they tried to do that on the Christmas special with River Song, the TARDIS would not work because the King's head was in the TARDIS and the body was outside.
Plot hole introduced by the King thing.
Honestly, where do you draw the line? Skin particles? Any amputee?
Was the hand somehow considered "dead"?
@@FFKonoko The difference is Hydroflax's head and body were considered by the TARDIS to be the same person. Not a severed part, but the same living being.
8:08 I remember watching this one, the episode ends right after he starts regenerating
I shutter to think of what Jack did with the Doctors Hand!
You cut my hand, I can't believe you've cut my hand, how could you have cut my hand
I can't believe you've done this.
Makes me think, the David tennant doctor who was such a good doctor who that almost every companion got their own to keep. Rose got human doctor. Donna got one of the doctors that did a biregeneration. Only one that doesn't have a doctor is martha
i hope we'll see the "Donna" Doctor again/hear about him in the tv show.
Best doctor who for sure
Makes me wonder why 11, 12 and 13 didn't lop off a hand so they could also regenerate without changing.
Who would've known that his hand would become his clone brother.
Again.
Say what you will about Flux, but I'm just hella happy that the next special is going to finally give Donna her criminally late proper closure.
Don't be too surprised if it doesn't
The hand wrist got long then short again
"I didn't want to change. Why would I? Look at me."
And that from the Doctor who complained that he wasn't ginger.
You could say that's second-hand
I've got to hand it to you, that's funny.
The doctor did mate with Donna at the end
At 16:03 someone is still cutting onions.... after all those years....
I'd almost forgotten how bad a lot of the adr was in Torchwood lol.
It's pretty grating, isn't it? The beach scene too
It's only fitting the hand got a happy ending.
Now I want Handy, 10 & 14 to meet...
imo, the first season of Torchwood is necessary viewing whenever you're doing a doctor who marathon. watch it before you watch Utopia.
If you look in the description of my minisode playlist, I've got a watch order list with every episode, minisode, and spinoff of new Who
The hand scene at the beginning with Jack, was just terrible. Barrowman as awesome as you are you aren't the best actor but my god you are a charming Scot.
Isn't it kinda funny that we kinda have the scharack to thank in part for saving the universe, cause if he hadn't chopped the doctors hand, we would've been doomed
Sycorax
I wonder is younger Rose is going to be in the new season.
Honestly always feel bad for Micky.
Get found out inside that minute what type of man he was and it wast lucky it Vengeful.
Can you imagine what adventures he would have with rose as part human?
No TARDIS
No Sonic
Matt Smith doctor nearly went insane living a normal life waiting for the cubes to do something for an hour. (Cant remember but billions of cubes around the world)
Or would it be like Torchwood?
Earth adventures.
If Chekhov truly had a gun, this is the hand he pulled the trigger with.
I forgot how much that hand cropped up
Idk if it's been said yet... Sorry if it has. Seasons and episode numbers would be amazing 🤩
and Jack still has he’s hand. I saw it on Torchwood
The jar is still there in season 2, but I don't think there's a hand in it
@@PenneySounds hmmm 🤔. It’s a possibility. Although I do remember seeing it in it every time. I actually just finished watching all the seasons again 2 months ago
I just skimmed the episodes, and it never gets a close shot that I could find where you can see what's in it, except the New Year 2000 flashback in "Fragments" where there appears to be something like a brain in it.
I just realised the container that Jack put the hand in is similar to the one we see the Face of Boe in, Prop Design coincidence or Intentional character connection?
I'm thinking if his hand fell from the Sycorax ship then it probably fell on someone😅😅
Remember that he won a swordfight with a tangerine.
Saving the earth from a invasion and saving christmas while doing so.
if metacrisis 10 didn't get the regeneration part of his timelord dna in the metacrisis... does that mean Donna did?
...ohhhhh i need to start writing
So uh... have you seen the 60th? Cuz I wanna know your thoughts on the Star Beast now :)
Regeneration is from the Timeless Child's DNA and was infused into the Time Lords by Tecteun, and into River Song by Madame Kovarian. Tecteun placed the limit of 12 on it artificially.
@@RoseTheVideomancer haven't watched it but I got spoilered the general plot, it looks real neat but I still think my idea was awesome (lol 💀)
@@PenneySounds yeah I know thank u ^-^
I miss Torchwood.
HOLD ON. There is a head in a jar next to Capt. Jack's hand! Looks similar to the Face of Boe! (At 1:11 )
Could mean a lot of possible theories!!!
Eugene refers to the other jar as "The head of Vexor 11". No idea what that is or why Eugene knows about it.
@@PenneySounds I had noticed, on first viewing I assumed that was a reference to another show/ film. It could be within their universe, we had seen in season one episode one that as the ninth Doctor read the magazine at Rose's home he said "Oh that won't last, she's human and he's an alien." So they have breached a lot of sectors within their world society wise and are just, mingling and exploring human life.
Could be a thing we see here. Somehow the alien got cast for the show with the people that made the show thinking it was some 'fancy mask' like we saw in episode one of Torchwood with Gwen's first alien.
Donna was too OP they had to find a way to ditch her.
That isn't continuity being on point, that's just telling a story, it seems like that was always the plan from the beginning
The show was not planned out that far in advance
Spoilers
Don’t forget about the newest scene when he regenerates and when going what looks at his hand.
Me missing Jenny like mad😭
