It's amazing how many times I see anglers blast past a bridge with rip-rap running the edges down into the water, grass bumped up the rock, vertical pillars, laydowns, tight channel point, heat, shade, and typically no wake (depending on where you live).
Exactly bridges always hold fish and can be the best spots at times
Great video man, I have started using a drop shot more and more, it truly will put fish in the boat when nothing else will.
I hate using that drop shot but it really works. I still haven't caught a giant on it yet
Please come to belews!
I should go try that lake it seems alot like Norman
Thanks for the videos.
Thanks for watching
Great video and lesson on dropshots.
Thanks I'm not that good at instructional videos but I might try to do some more
Thanks again.
No problem thanks for watching
I love Falcon rods!!
It's the first one I've had but I'm really liking it
Awesome just subbed
Awesome thanks for the sub
No bridges on moss lake for me to fish lol. I need to start coming to Norman more. Just kinda scared to fish that big lake by myself
Norman is easy to fish just pick an area of the lake and fish it. You've caught plenty there
around 9 minutes in the video you were over near my in laws house. Some good fishin over there. I take the kayak down there a bunch. Luckily we live in troutman now so I dont gotta drive far to fish there. I have a lot of luck with a basic texas rig there.
Nice nc good info
Thanks bro bridges can be loaded at times
@@landonmoore76 def man!
You caught quite a few bass, way to go man good luck, and God Bless. Keep them coming
Thanks for watching. It was fun to just fish for fun and not a tournament. The fall bite will be here soon
OK...you have talked me into it. I will fish some bridges on Sat when I go out. Now, I'm not good at the drop shot. I fished it one time and lost the whole rig like 5 min into trying it and didn't catch a single fish and I was fed up and didn't try it again. I guess I just need to be prepared to lose them (get more terminal tackle) and just roll with it. Also, have you ever tried drop shot out in open water (like around shoals or channel markers)? I've seen vids where other guys do that, but I've never myself. Thanks for this as it was great info on fishing bridges. There was more too it that I ever knew.
Yes a drop shot does good around shoal markers and main lake points. It might be a bad weekend to fish bridges the CBC championship is Friday and Saturday and the lake will be packed
@@landonmoore76 Ahhh....OK...thanks for letting me know. I wasn't aware of the tournament. I'll wait until Sunday then.
at the beginning drop shotting in 45 foot of water you were just catching them suspended on the fall so you twitched and moved as it fell instead of letting it just sink straight down right? I've never fished anywhere close to that depth
Alot of the time they hit it on the fall when it's that that deep. I never really fish over 25-30ft just let it fall past them then reel it up some twitch it, then reel it up some more. Sometimes they'll hit it on the way in
If it swims the drop shot will catch em! No no. Fishing in the dark is horrible. Dont tell people it's good. Lol. 👀
Yep drop shot will always get bites. If you ask me night time does suck lol
@@landonmoore76 lol
What kind of drop shot rod do you us?

7' medium action
What about using swimbaits at the bridges? Really enjoy your videos. 👍👍👍🎣
Thanks the 4 inch swimbaits on bridges have done good for me. The biggest bag I weighed was on that
@@landonmoore76 how heavy a jighead should I put on. 1/8 3/8 1/4? Thanks again
@@henrywetterich3129 I like a 1/4 so it stays near the bottom but if they are hitting shad on top go to a 1/8. Slow reel with a twitch every once in a while
The real worst thing about a drop shot is when a fish tangles it up so bad you have to sit down and wonder how it even got that bad.
Yes especially with spots they go crazy and twist the line all up it is annoying
I call that corner in the thumbnail Landon’s bank
🤣🤣🤣 the best spot on the lake
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks bro
Largemouth are rare on Norman
Yes I usually catch one or two but way more spots
Spots are more prevalent, however, I went out late this summer one morning and caught 6 largies (all on topwater) and not a single spotted bass. It was odd, to say the least.
I’ve only caught 1 largemouth this year but enough spotted bass to sink my boat
Lol largemouth are even more rare down lake but the more north you go the more you see. I still say its 90% spots and 10% largemouth
